Bungle Bungles Helicopter Tour

It's one of the exciting experiences of the Kimberley region.

Would you like to have a helicopter tour of the Bungle Bungle range in the Kimberley's Purnululu National Park?

The helicopter flight over Purnululu is an optional activity you can add on to an Adventure Wild tour.

We drive into Purnululu and walk right into the heart of the Bungle Bungle Range to experience the Bungle Bungle domes, Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm.

You can experience the region from the air by booking an optional helicopter flight. The flight complements the experience of the park walks and offers another dimension to the Purnululu experience.

People usually find this an inspiring sight. From an aerial view point it looks like an enormous piece of indigenous artwork. It's a beautiful and entirely unique landscape.

We generally suggest people don't try and take photos from the helicopter. There a lot of very good aerial photographic books you can purchase if you want to. We recommend that people just focus on taking in the experience.

At the start of the flight you will cross over a desert area with lots of spinifex and small trees. You then get to the domes and fly over the Bungle Bungles Massif, as the main domed area is known. It is very beautiful from the top as you look over enormous circular striped domes.

The helicopter ride is a memorable way to experience Purnululu National Park and the Bungle Bungles. People get very excited about the experience, and the excitement seems to stay with them for quite some time after. Around the campfire everybody talks about their experience of the helicopter flight, and their indelible memory of the Kimberley's vivid landscape.
