We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Like I said in one of my two emails to family & friends while we were on our Safari, the word “Adventure” was an understatement for what we were experiencing on our trip.
To date my favourite holidays were NZ, Grand Canyon, Rome & Niagara Falls, they have all moved down a notch & our Adventure Wild Kimberley trip is now #1.
What made this trip better than the rest was Tommo & Gooles, they were Super Professional, Efficient, Caring & much more, they went above & beyond in everything that they did.
I was a little nervous to start with re my allergy to Garlic & Msg & on the first night I made it known that I did not want to be a nuisance & would be happy with a salad & bread at times when garlic (in particular) was an issue. It soon became obvious that Gooles must have read every food label in the Supermarket when she shopped for the trip. On all but 3 nights I was given a separately cooked meal & whenever sauces were on offer I was told which ones I should avoid.
Both Gooles & Tommo, obviously love what they do & it shows because nothing was too much trouble for them, they were always happy & smiling.
Before this trip my only experience of Aboriginal people were the city ones who seemed to hang around Sydney’s city railway stations, usually drinking or what I saw on TV re “The Block” at Redfern. I was actually a bit nervous being anywhere near them. I now have a totally different perspective, having heard what we, the white folk, have done to them in the past. Tommo & Gooles painted a wonderful picture, with dreamtime stories etc I now want to hear more!
The main gift that I brought back for my almost 9 year old grandson was a book about Aborigines, I saw it in Broome on Day 1 & totally ignored it. His Mum & Dad were delighted with the book, they have a couple of Aboriginal paintings in their home.
So it wasn’t just the memories of the beautiful Kimberleys that I took back, I learned so much, something new everyday.
I also made it all the way into the El Questro Gorge, what a sense of achievement that was, as I was the oldest person on the trip & some who were much younger did not make it, including my husband John, who by the way also loved the whole experience.

The information and phone calls before leaving Melbourne were excellent.
The itinerary was good, but from our point of view I think it would of been a lot harder walking into the gorges if we had waited another year. Some mornings it was an early start but as we stopped for morning tea, then lunch we found it very good.
Meals great. Choccy did a great job and the variety and desserts brilliant.
Campsites great.
Tour guides, now what can I say about them. You have a couple of “Gems” in Greg & Choccy we could not of asked for better Guides.
Comfort was good.
We wondered about our old bones, and sleeping in a swag but we were both pleasantly surprised when we awoke the first morning and no aches or pains.
Hygiene very good.
We could not of asked for a better group of people. We all got on very well and helped Greg & Choccy with the chores.
We have been telling our friends and acquaintances of the wonderful time we had.

I would like to thank you both for what was a great 12 day trip through the Kimberly’s. Having taken some time to reflect, I was very impressed with the itinerary over all, your local knowledge and the relaxed feel throughout the trip that comes with a camping holiday.
Your logistical and managerial skills that were evident throughout the tour, as well as your innate ability to manage such a diverse range of personalities ensured an enjoyable time was had by all.
I know I will certainly look back on my 2013 Adventure Wild Kimberly tour fondly as I’m sure the other group members will as well.
It has been a pleasure to meet you both and I would like to wish you every success for the future.

We had a great trip and Thomo and Cheryl were excellent.
From our point of view the 12 day loop, two guides and a smaller group were the main reasons for selecting Adventure Wild over the other operators.

Home safely after a wonderful time seeing the Kimberley on Adventure Wild camping tour.
As you know, the weather was kind to us & we got to see more than expected. ie: Wyndam & surrounds.
There were always opportunities to see as much as possible, with more than adequate time to enjoy all sites visited.
Tour guides play a large part in a business like yours being successful. In our case, Choccy & Greg did all the right things to ensure an enjoyable trip for their passengers. They were well organised & prepared in the food & equipment areas. On top of that, they worked hard the whole time they were awake.
These things certainly added to the great experiences the Kimberley gave us.

I just wanted to personally write to you and let you know what a great experience we had on the tour.
It certainly lived up to and exceeded all our expectations.
I have done many tours overseas and what we experienced with you was by far better. I felt that you interacted with everyone and included everyone so that we made the most of our journey.
Your knowledge of the Kimberley’s is commendable.
We arrived in Melbourne to a fierce thunderstorm and our suburb had the most rain since 1904 with many roads flooded, so we did experience “the big wet!”
Once again thank you for a fantastic experience of this great country of ours.

Words cannot describe this awesome trip. My husband & I can highly recommend this tour.

Marie and I have been reflecting on our recent trip with Gools and Thommo and would like to add a little to our previous anonymous feedback.
These two tour leaders revealed impressive values that make them ideal guides for visitors to the Kimberley. They respect the original custodians and their history and culture. They aspire to continue learning, from books, from passengers, and from all of the people they encounter that make up the Kimberley. Good on ’em.

Gosh – what can I say after such a brilliant trip? I don’t think I would have seen as many of the hidden gems of the Kimberley without Adey and Corf’s expert guiding, covering a lot of ground in a relaxed and interesting way, professional, fun and great cooking.
Great equipment and a comfortable bus, I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Adventure Wild to tour the Kimberley with. I had a great experience, the group I was with were easy going and fun to be with – everyone contributing to such a great trip.
Many thanks

We’ve thought a lot about travelling to the Kimberley, but camping was never our option until we saw Greg at the Travel Show in Sydney. He was most persuasive and informative about what was to be in store for us, and I am very happy to say that he was correct in every way.
For someone who has not camped before, it was certainly an unforgettable experience for both Jeffrey and myself.
We’ve learned how to roll our swags, take down the tent in record time. Sleeping in the tent, seeing the glistening night sky, sitting around the camp fire at night, sipping champagne, nibbling on cheese and crackers while the sun setting, listening to Rory and Stephan singing and playing their guitar and flute are memories we will treasure.
However, I did have some reservation before the tour since I have a special dietary requirement. Getting gluten free food in a restaurant in the middle of the city is difficult enough, let alone in the middle of nowhere. To my surprise, the meal throughout the trip was wholesome, gluten free, plenty of meat, vegetable and fruits. We were never hungry!!!!
Memories of our 12 days tour flooding back as I am flipping through hundreds of photos I’ve taken. Most noticeably are the beautifully scenic gorges where we swam, swimming across the river, sitting in the hot spring, picking fire wood for our camp fire, stopping for morning/afternoon tea and lunch. Picking rosella flowers for the tasty rosella jam Rory made. Seeing the numerous bird life, fresh water croc and the sun set along the Lake Argyle (optional tour) was a peaceful and worthwhile experience. Walking along the Bungle Bungle, and listening to Stephan playing the flute in the Cathedral Gorge was “icing on the cake”!!!
Thank you Rory and Stephan for taking such good care of us, and to have made this such a wonderful, and happy vacation for all of us. I have no reservation in recommending Adventure Wild to my friends, and to those who have any dietary requirement! To those who have not camped before, it will be an adventure of a life time!!!
