We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
I can’t believe that you are thanking us for travelling with Adventure Wild. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The organisation was amazing and Thommo and Gools were outstanding leaders. They were always around when we were clambering through gorges, swimming etc so we always felt safe. Gools’ cuisine was out of this world; it was as if a five star restaurant appeared each evening out of the dust. They had the knack of organising the whole operation, including packing swags, without ordering us around. Everyone was happy to chip in and help wherever needed. Their knowledge and love of the Kimberley was overwhelming.
Thanks again for all the work you put into making your company work so well.
P.S. I am attaching a “thing”. I’m not sure if you’d call it a testimonial.
Trip with Adventure Wild – 27th June 2014
From the first minute of this trip I knew I was going to have a great time. I had felt slightly apprehensive for a few weeks and even months leading up to the trip as I didn’t know if my fitness and the fact that I was an independent traveller would mean that I would not feel comfortable with the group. I had met Thommo and Gools at the expo in Sydney and so knew I would get on well with them. They have the ability to make everyone feel they are a part of the group. When they picked me up in Broome, there were already two other passengers on the “truck” and they were amazing people.
Even our first day was full of memorable events, such as walking through Tunnel Creek, and learning to deal with our tents and swags. The next morning we had an hour or so drinking in the atmosphere of Windjana Gorge, and by this time we really felt that we were in another world, the “Kimberley” world. It would take me many pages to recount the highlights of our trip, the scenery, the walks, the flights, cruises, wildlife, aboriginal art etc, but I would like to mention my fellow passengers. Our group bonded quickly and we all seemed to have something in common; everyone was committed to enjoying the adventure of the Kimberley. I think this had something to do with the advertising on the internet – Adventure Wild seems to attract a certain type of person.
Our drivers/guides/cooks, Thommo and Gools are outstanding leaders. They were fully capable of facing any situation, e.g. flat tyres, but they also have the knack of bringing out the best in people. I was the only person who got lost on the trip, but they didn’t make a fuss; they just came back to look for me. The price of the trip was slightly significant in my choice – it was about a third of what I would have paid to travel with other companies – but more important for me were the testimonials of past passengers. They all talked about the fantastic time they had had, travelling, walking, swimming and sitting around the camp-fire at night.I can’t think of anything negative to say about the trip. Even though I happened to get the biggest swag, “Durack” which could have caused me grief, this meant that I had a special rendez-vous with Jeffrey, a fellow passenger, every morning at 5.15, for a swag-rolling bonding session.
In conclusion, I wish to thank the staff of “Adventure Wild” for the amazing organisation, and Thommo and Gools for leading this memorable experience. They thought of everything, even including pegs and washing powder!

I had a great time with Adventure Wild. What made it so wonderful without doubt was the concern for and eye for detail of your two employees, Wayne and Cheryl. I mentioned that in my survey form however just wanted to reinforce how considerate and sensitive they were to all on the trip. Nothing was a problem for them and they were so encouraging. Their enthusiasm was contagious. We were very blessed to have them as our tour leaders. Thank you for keeping in touch with me.

Most of all we appreciate the personal touch you have succeeded in offering with each contact, it makes us feel we know you. My comment on the trip was “12 days of happiness”. Our fellow passengers were such a good mix and everything ran like clockwork by the amazingly capable and unflappable leaders, Corf and Adey. I almost feel reluctant to spread the the word as I give it such high praise that I doubt it will match up to expectations. Keep running the same and you will carry off all the tourism awards.
Many thanks.

My thanks to you for all of your assistance in helping me get myself organised for my trip. Your personal attention to all my requests was warmly appreciated.
I enjoyed a wonderful trip, love the landscapes, the hikes, the camping out, the camp fires, the helicopter flight, flight over the Mitchell Falls, the boat trips, the swims, THE FOOD, the company and certainly not forgetting our intrepid leaders, Gools and Thommo.
They ran a very well organised and efficient tour but always with an ease and friendliness that we all appreciated and loved. It would be hard to better the Kimberley landscape, and Gools and Thommo added a dimension that made this trip one I loved and will remember. I would appreciate if you would pass on my thanks to them.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the Kimberley and definitely have many fabulous memories (including the early starts!!). Thommo and Gools were excellent hosts – professional and lots of fun at the same time. We were truly spoilt to be shown this beautiful region by a couple who are so passionate about it themselves.
Many thanks to you and the team for a truly memorable trip – yes it does make us smile!

My husband and I usually travel on our own, but we were fascinated with The Kimberly and coming from the U.S., we were overwhelmed by the challenges. So, we researched and chose Adventure Wild. From the start of our contact with Simone, we were reassured that we had chosen well.
The first day on the road, as our guides Thommo and Gools introduced themselves, traded driving chores and smoothly eased us into our new routine, we were totally pleased. Since Thommo and Gools have spent their professional lives guiding just such expeditions on many continents, everything ran smoothly, no matter the circumstance.
There was no drama as they dealt with an injury on the first and third day. With Simone’s help, the amazing outback medical community was quickly available. The injured parties received full attention from Thommo and Gools, but since there were two such highly professional guides, they were able to continue the service and the forward progress for the rest of the group at the same time.
Their knowledge base of The Kimberly was extensive. A bonus is that they have forged friendships with more than one aboriginal group we encountered.
And the food, well, the world of food was on our table, night after night. How could such taste and quantity come from such a tiny mobile kitchen? The tea stops were fun, as well. We were there to learn about Australia, so we were delighted to encounter, not only healthy treats, but also fun foods such as Lamingtons, Iced Vovos and outback station scones.
Australians know they have something special in The Kimberly.
To people traveling to Australia, we can sing the praises of the relatively untouched treasure and without reservation, we can recommend Adventure Wild’s competence and commitment to such a special place.

Thank you and Adventure Wild for one of the best holidays I have ever had.
We could not have had better, more sympathetic, versatile, informative and helpful guides than in Corf and Adey. The camping was a new experience for me but it was made fun and as easy as possible by our guides.
We did not want for anything and nothing was too much trouble, all served up with a smile and a willingness to help. The food was good and plentiful, we even had a fine dining night.
I really enjoyed the campire cameraderie each night and the slide show on our last night really capped off the enjoyment.
From the start of the holiday I felt safe, secure and had an anticipation that I was in for a fantastic time. This anticipation was proved right!
I will always remember the magnificent scenery especially the Bungle Bungles.
Thank you Corf and Adey

Our huge thankyous to all at Adventure Wild for making our recent Kimberley adventure such a wonderful experience.
Your pre trip information was invaluable Simone.
Once on the road with Greg and Choccy, we were continually shown the wonders of this incredible and vast region. Their combined knowledge of the bird life, trees, amazing gorges and local folklore kept us entertained and informed each day.
The meals were terrific and varied and Greg’s driving skills made us all feel very relaxed and safe wherever we ventured.
Would highly recommend Adventure Wild tours and thank you again for making it such a great holiday.

“This tour has a great itinerary with a really nice pace to it, keeping you on the move to get you where you need to be, but allowing for ‘down time’ in beautiful places at the right time.
Corf and Adey were outstanding as our tour guides. Both were very accomodative, respectful and combined the right mix of authority and fun so our group always knew they had our best interests at heart.
Corf is very knowledgable about the area we visited, its history, people and is always happy to share information as required (& he makes it interesting). Adey fed us superbly and our our evenings around the fire each night were always guaranteed fun.
We had our 11 year old daughter and 14 year old son with us and while we were initially a little apprehensive around whether they would cope with this format, all fears were immediately allayed. Corf, Adey and our fellow travellers all made them both feel part of a great team and we know they took so much away with them from this adventure.
We would certainly recomend Adventure Wild to other families contemplating the journey.”
