Testimonial for Adventure Wild

Clark and Anita Blanchard USA

Year of Tour: 2014

My husband and I usually travel on our own, but we were fascinated with The Kimberly and coming from the U.S., we were overwhelmed by the challenges. So, we researched and chose Adventure Wild. From the start of our contact with Simone, we were reassured that we had chosen well.

The first day on the road, as our guides Thommo and Gools introduced themselves, traded driving chores and smoothly eased us into our new routine, we were totally pleased. Since Thommo and Gools have spent their professional lives guiding just such expeditions on many continents, everything ran smoothly, no matter the circumstance.

There was no drama as they dealt with an injury on the first and third day. With Simone’s help, the amazing outback medical community was quickly available. The injured parties received full attention from Thommo and Gools, but since there were two such highly professional guides, they were able to continue the service and the forward progress for the rest of the group at the same time.

Their knowledge base of The Kimberly was extensive. A bonus is that they have forged friendships with more than one aboriginal group we encountered.

And the food, well, the world of food was on our table, night after night. How could such taste and quantity come from such a tiny mobile kitchen? The tea stops were fun, as well. We were there to learn about Australia, so we were delighted to encounter, not only healthy treats, but also fun foods such as Lamingtons, Iced Vovos and outback station scones.

Australians know they have something special in The Kimberly.

To people traveling to Australia, we can sing the praises of the relatively untouched treasure and without reservation, we can recommend Adventure Wild’s competence and commitment to such a special place.
