We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Wow, what a great trip! Adventure Wild sure know how to entertain their guests. Pauline and I booked this Kimberley Tour with a touch of trepidation, but any uncertainty was discounted within 24 hours. Meticulous planning, great organisation and visiting spectacular scenery was just some of the features of this tour. From never having camped before, living in tents and sleeping in swags was a lot of fun. An amazing highlight was the meals served each day – what came out of the back of that trailer was truly remarkable. We were so spoilt, and to think this was achieved in remote W.A. at the back of nowhere. Would highly recommend this trip to any aspiring traveller.
It would be remiss not to mention the most professional and passionate Tour Leaders – Carmel and Mark. Their care, enthusiasm, patience and perserverence was of the utmost quality. In particular when Pauline became unwell, Carmel and Mark in conjunction with Directoress Simone in Broome made prompt and efficient evacuation plans for us. This service could not be questioned or faulted in any way. We are forever indebted.

Firstly I would like to congratulate you on a well organised and fun tour. Carmel and Mark are a truly professional couple who are passionate about what they do, making it fun and enjoyable for us all. The food was first class and the campgrounds were good and with the tents already up a bonus for us.
The fires in the Bungle Bungles disrupted our tour but Mark and Carmel rearranged the days so we had something extra to do instead. It definitely gave me an idea of how I would like to tour the region again, probably with less driving.
My only negative comment {not directed at you} is the lack of re-cycling in the area, bottles and cans made up a large proportion of our waste!
I had a great time and have no hesitation in recommending this tour to others.
Kind regards

CORF & ADEY
I had some free time yesterday while some went on the chopper,
and jotted some thoughts down about a nurse and former copper
I speak of Corf and Adey, our tour guides extraordinaire
And take this time to thank them for their leadership & care.
We started off in Broome last week, without a lot of fuss
And drove around a few motels until we filled the bus
I’m sure we all were wondering just who would join the tour
Whether they be young or old – and were they rich or poor?
We sat around the fire first night and started with some games
Which really help tremendously with learning all our names
We’ve swum in lovely gorges and had some awesome walks
And learned a lot of history when Corf has shared his talks
The driving has been interesting and when Corf had had enough
He’d pass the wheel to Adey – mainly as it got quite rough!
We drove along Old Halls Creek Road and around the Bus were tossed
But I must dispel the rumour that Corf was ever lost!
The food has been terrific, the organising great
So we offer our apologies for the times we made you late
I’ll miss the fun around the fire when we would share some gags
But there’s one that I will not miss – rolling up those swags!!
We’re sad you’re giving this away though we understand the reason
And we’re quite excited for you as you enter your new season
And I’m sure a group as good as us you ALWAYS will remember
Well maybe that’s ambitious – how about until September.
To share this final trip with you, I feel I have been blest
So whatever lies ahead for you, we wish you ALL THE BEST.

Hi Simone John Phil and Liz.
I like to change the words to songs and sing to people to make them smile. I sang this around the table on our last night. Enjoy.
To the tune of “You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille ” by Kenny Rogers.
Chorus
You picked the Gibb River road to take us on Phil and Liz.
5000 corrugations – nowhere to take a whiz.
We’ve had a Wild time – No not a mild time.
We took the tour choc full of fizz.
You picked the Kimberley to take us on Phil and Liz.
Verse 1
August 2016 – the tour group, it was 13.
They picked us up 6am from Broome.
We headed to Derby – the road was straight not curvy.
Count river crossings was our game.
First stop was Tunnel Creek.
Later met Moo who wasn’t meek – he slobbered his saliva over Liz.
Many crossings they were empty, Gorges there were plenty.
Where you from mate? Colleen had to play that quiz.
Repeat Chorus
Verse 2
Sex kitten Sandra- known as Attenborough
Howard Priscilla – Sir Galahad
Mike was the quiet bloke, Linda she got heat stroke – lucky for her it wasn’t bad.
Bosom buddies Cheryl and Pam
One night they gobbled bush lamb
Gave each other as good as they got.
Sally – post natal nurse from Tammin- hubby John took pictures like a demon.
They brought along sweet swag roller Jim.
Repeat Chorus
Verse 3
Lost towel Kununurra
Hearing aids Purnululu
Phone chargers, toothpaste and a hat.
Sunglasses and washing line
Coffee cups, but never wine
Sandra now 60 lost her youth.
Clean socks always dirty
And some feet did hurty
But somehow we found what was lost.
The team helped each other
Liz and Phil they played Mother
For many their bucket list crossed.
Repeat Chorus
Verse 4
Neil he was not well
But the group treated him very well
The food was bloody great what can I say.
Most nights we had a fire – the bar it just got higher.
Briefings let us know what to expect next day.
Phil was a great driver, thanks to him we’re all survivors.
Liz, well she’s a kitchen whiz.
We’d just like to thankyou;
Some might even say knight you!
I dub you Sir Phil and Dame Liz.
Chorus Repeat
With Last line sang twice – and changed to:
We had a great time -thanks to Phil and Liz.
Regards
Kimberley Colxx

Hello Simone,
I just wanted to touch base and thank you so much for the tour we did with Thommo and Gools. We really enjoyed ourselves and have memories to last forever. I wrote a little poem about our trp and Thommo asked if I would email you a copy. Thanks once again and I am sure we will catch up again sometime.
Cheers
KIMBERLY ADVENTURE
We headed for adventure
As strangers we all met,
But bonding quickly took effect
With mates we won’t forget.
As we hit the mighty Gibb
Our bones began to shake,
Thommo steered the truck along
While Gools would navigate.
They both took turns at driving
They liked to share the load,
The job was rather grueling
To keep us on the road.
The track was rough and tiresome
And that’s to say the least,
We’d unpack at the campsite
While Gools cooked up a feast.
Thommo climbs up on the roof
And grabs the swags to fling,
While Gools works in the kitchen
With food fit for a king.
She always seems to be so calm
And never shows frustrations,
Every night she feeds the crew
With food from different nations.
Things didn’t always go as planned
Roslyn bruised her shin,
Ken just kept on telling jokes
To fill the money tin.
All the gorges that we saw
We never will forget,
But some tracks we took to get there
A mountain goat would sweat.
We tested every muscle
In our ankles and our hips,
And woke up every morning
To the sound of noisy zips.
Col and Wendy had their day
A fishing trip at last,
Col caught a barramundi
On his final cast.
He brought it back to campsite
To give us all a treat,
And thanks to Gools the master chief
We all had fish to eat.
The Bungle Bungles were a treat
We saw them from the air,
The chopper had no doors on it
And roughed the ladies hair.
Some were apprehensive
And held on to their seat,
But the memory of that chopper ride
They’ll find it hard to beat.
Wendy was the finance girl
We all thought she was fine,
At least she didn’t overcharge
Five bucks every time.
All the places that we saw
Would tell another story,
But when we found a shopping mall
Ray was in his glory.
Gools and Thommo had a plan
They’d keep to show their mates,
They both had hawk eyes in the front
To pick up number plates.
I know we all had so much fun
But when the journey ends,
With strangers that we never knew
We’ve got some new found friends.
It’s sad the trip is now complete
And on that final day,
We climb aboard the aeroplane
And all go Pharaway

Dear Mark and Carmel,
I hope all is going well for you, touring the Kimberley day after day – John and I thought what a dream job, but certainly understand it is a job and one that you do brilliantly! Along with our very positive comments to friends about our experience with Adventure Wild, we talk about how hard you guys work to ensure everyone on the trip has a wonderful holiday and your skill and professionalism travelling with an eclectic bunch of customers. It does take skill balancing work with friendship, making sure everyone is having a good time and you have mastered that skill!
We chose Adventure Wild because we wanted to experience as close as possible what it would be like travelling independently with a 4wd/camper trailer, sleeping in tents, sitting around fires etc. The benefits way exceeded our expectations. Your local knowledge, the incredible meals, your sill cooking on an open fire (we took notes!) and just not having to think ‘what to do / where to go next’ was fabulous!
Best wishes

Hi Simone,
We have just experienced the very best the Kimberley has to offer. Thanks so much to Corf for his expert knowledge of the region & his very interesting story telling which had us all entertained on many occasions, such a fantastic tour guide. Thanks must also go to Adey for preparing the most delicious meals, she made sure we had lots of variety & certainly no one went hungry. They were the best tour guides ever, I know I wont forget them. We had a great mix of people, by the first night around the campfire everyone was laughing & having fun & it remained that way through the whole tour.
Thanks again Corf & Adey for giving us 12 days we will never forget.
Best of luck in the future to Corf & Adey.

We had an amazing trip and as well as magnificent scenery and experiences, our fellow travellers and our wonderful guides Corf and Adey all gelled and this added to the experience. I will never forget the treks ending with a refreshing swim in an idyllic gorge. The food provided was great and appreciated by all. Corf,s knowledge and stories of the Kimberly,s first settlers and the indigenous history added immensely to daily cheese and bickies at a sunset lookout.
Thank you Adventure Wild

Hi Simone,
I had a wonderful time, met a great bunch of friends, and had a ball. I saw great places, survived a helicopter ride (as I am scared of heights), but the beauty was very special.
I knew it would be hard to go bird watching, but I identified 89 species, very dry, so it was not what I expected. 12 or 13 new ones not seen before and lots I have not seen for many years.
Mark and Adey were so good and a special congrats to them.
I will tell others of my great experiences.
Thanks
