We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
What a wonderful Kimberley tour my husband and I experienced recently with our fabulous guides, Carmel and Mark. Nothing was too much trouble for these two and their enthusiasm for the Kimberleys was contagious. We particularly enjoyed their vast knowledge of the local history and culture.
The itinerary was fairly ‘full-on’, meaning we were able to fit in as many activities and attractions as possible.
The variety and quality of all the meals was outstanding with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Carmel was so well organised.
Thanks also to Simone for her helpfulness with any enquiries and all the information regarding other activities in Broome.

Hi Simone
I would like to thank Adventure Wild for the outstanding tour I have taken part in. Over the years I did some 30 organized tours in many countries, but Adventure Wild is one of the best I have been on.
Mark and Carmel are the very best tour leaders one could have. They are not only talented tour guides and cooks they are also making friends very easily, as well as bonding a bunch of strangers together in a most pleasant way, in a very short time.
Of course the scenery is beautiful and a treat for a landscape photographer.
With kind regards

The entire organization, from the first contact until to the end of the trip, everything was perfectly organized.
The information in advance of the trip were very helpful and informative, there was nothing missing.
The pace of the tour was ideal and really for me all the spots were an absolute highlight.
I enjoyed the walks very much, the scenery was fantastic and the waterfalls a dream. What can I say, the Kimberley are just great!
Our tour guides Liz and Phil were fabulous. They were always in a good mood, nothing too much, they spoiled us and made us an unforgettable time, also the food was very delicious and varied. Impossible to suffer hunger on this tour J.
I’m very impressed regarding the professional handling, great job Liz and Phil!
Thanks to the great organization of Adventure Wild, a great group and fantastic tour guides I will always keep this trip in a very nice memory.
Thank you for an absolutely wonderful Kimberley experience.

Hi Simone,
I have returned to Canada & got over my jetlag & wish to express my thanks for a great adventure–tour 5 of May 17, 2017 which included a song by a choir of 12 in Cathedral Gorge on my birthday.
Firstly, I want to thank you for your administration from the time I booked in November 2016 right through the months getting required info, the unfortunate cancellation of Wendy & your assistance with my claim.
Now, I must congratulate Mark & Carmel for extraordinary leadership for the entire tour including their energy driving long distances, setting up camp , providing snacks during morning & afternoon breaks, lunches & excellent dinners, keeping the group informed with stories & background history & assisting anyone who needed it [ including me] during the rock hopping hikes.
The itinerary was busy but I wanted that & there were opportunities to take a couple of morning rests if desired.
I enjoyed the company of all my fellow travellers . We had lots of laughs & I found them all willing to pitch in with the chores. I hope to keep in touch with some of the group & certainly would like to send some photos to a group website to be organised by one of the group experts.
I believe Adventure Wild has a very good formula for the 12 day tour & it should be continued until new circumstances occur that require changes to the overall plan.
I was surprised & not impressed how occasional other visitors at a campsite, swimming hole or lookout were fanatical about playing with drones.
I found the meals varied & of good quality & quantity & the campsites were well situated.
This was an adventurous camping trip & I was comfortable with the driving sections with regular breaks & was rewarded with the activities such as the helicopter flight, the river & lake cruises & the billabong & gorge swims & the colourful hikes .
Hygiene is very important & our leaders were on top of ensuring the best approach to that.
Regards,

We have just completed our fabulous wild adventure through the Kimberley’s. Gools and Thommo were immensely professional guides, supportive and informative, full of fun … PLUS top nutritional food throughout!!!
Being 67 I was concerned about the camp bedding comfort – but with relief I found it comfy and easy to manage. I have never been a camper previously, but we quickly adapted to the relaxed lifestyle and the sharing experiences with the other guests.
Top experience. The Kimberley’s are amazing and beautiful.

Hi Simone and Karl,
I completed the 12 day Broome – Broome safari with Mark and Carmel Green, arriving back in Broome Sunday 28th May 2017.
I enjoyed every minute of my tour, beginning with the helpful and comprehensive information package I received via email. I had a few questions, and when I rang Adventure Wild I spoke with Karl who was friendly and forthcoming, with plenty of patience for my sometimes unrelated questions.
I found the tour well-paced, with the four 2-night stays providing a sense of belonging and allowing relaxation time for those who wished. Mark and Carmel provided us with optional alternatives outside the set itinerary which enhanced our experience and were much appreciated by all.
Our meals were timely, varied and plentiful, packed with fresh ingredients. We were offered snacks before every walk and fresh fruit was available daily.
Campsites were generally good, with the standout being Brooking Springs Station where the peaceful, isolated location at the edge of a billabong created a magical first night for our reverse tour. Although Windjana and Bell Gorges were still closed, we were treated to a beautiful sunset on the Derby pier and the campsite at the edge of the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park was quiet with an expansive outlook and more than adequate amenities. Our 2-night stay at El Questro was enhanced by being so close to the burbling Pentecost River, with the charming ensuite-style amenities adding a touch of class. The open-air amenities at the Bungle Bungle Station Caravan Park were a joy, and the only site that could have been improved was Home Valley Station.
I have nothing but praise for Mark and Carmel, who welcomed us and outlined the rules with humour and endless patience for our seemingly endless questions. They were informative, funny, entertaining, careful and capable, making every effort to respond to individual requirements. They were supportive without being intrusive on excursions that were challenging to many of our group.
I was comfortable at every stage of the tour, both on the bus and in camp. The tents were spacious and the swags comfortable, although I would have liked the option of an insect screen above my head on the swag so I could see the stars when sleeping out.
Hygiene rules were made very clear, with disinfectant gel available and used before every meal, and Mark and Carmel’s high standards were maintained throughout.
Thank you for making my first Kimberley experience so memorable, and I hope you continue to provide many more visitors with such a positive experience.
Yours sincerely

Hi Simone, Queen Liz and Prince Phil
Thank you for an absolutely wonderful Kimberley experience.
Had it in mind since hearing about the Bungle Bungles about 20 years ago.
Want to do it all again someday, with the same amazing knowledgeable guides (Liz and Phil), and hopefully see Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Bell Gorge which weren’t open this trip.
Will be recommending Adventure Wild to everyone.
Have so many great memories of the stunning outback, the stars, swimming in beautiful gorges, lily-pads palms and ferns, our 40th wedding anniversary among the Bungle Bungles, jet boating down the Ord River, the music at Home Valley Station, campfires, too much delicious FOOD, comfy swags and tents, games in the bus, river crossings…didn’t want it to end.

A quick phone call to Rory and due to some gorges being closed and tours being done in reverse, we were lucky enough to be able to do the Gibb River 7 day section of this amazingly diverse area of Australia. We were booked in to the Triple J Ord River Cruise – well worth doing and met the group and guides – Phil and Liz in the Ivanhoe Van Park and headed off the next morning.
What can we say about this tour? Not sure if there are enough superlatives to cover how we felt. Our guides were skilled, informative, knowledgeable, great company and catered to our every need.
The scenery, commentary, the gorges, campsites, food, campfires and the company of a great group of intrepid travellers were all a bonus and far better than doing this trip on our own.
Which Gorge was the best? All of them, each unique – El Questro, Emma, Manning, Galvins, Adcock. Zebedee Springs was delightful. 146 river crossings thanks to a late wet.
The bonus of Derby and the Norval gallery was perfect for us.
And a magic Horizontal Falls Day Tour was the perfect end to this leg of our journey.
We thank you for this opportunity to travel with Adventure Wild, we appreciate all the last minute arranging and have no hesitation in recommending you to others, although this particular situation may not arise again.

Since learning about the Ord River scheme in high school and reading of the Bungle Bungles in the 80s, I’ve wanted to visit this vast landscape. The 12 night journey with Thommo and Gools was everything and more than I’d expected.
Huge, spectacular landscapes, crystal clear waters, rugged red gorges and vast waterways were just the beginning.
Expert guidance, knowledge, history, botany and ecology were provided by Thommo and Gools.
The food was a highlight – fresh plentiful salads prepared daily, scrumptious dinners after energetic days, surprises and treats at every turn. Way above every expectation.
A diverse group of travellers all enjoying the various aspects of Adventure Wild.
Unreservedly recommended.

Dear Simone,
We were on the 3 May trip through the Kimberley with Mark and Carmel Green.
We had a fabulous time.
The Kimberley itself needs no comment – what can one say- it is magnificent and unique. You provide a perfect route for a perfect place. We did the trip in reverse from your normal route. I’m not sure which would be the better way around- I don’t think it matters.
More important stuff though. I (Ant) am not a camper – never have been and never will, but I loved the trip. It was camping, but it was so much better than that. The tents were adequate, the swags comfortable and the facilities mostly acceptable.
What made the trip for me was the great guides. Mark and Carmel made us feel that everything was a pleasure and that everything was easy. They were charming, great fun, very funny, most accommodating, very knowledgeable (if they didn’t know their stuff they had us all completely fooled!!).
The evenings were wonderful. Sitting around the campfire being spoiled was the highlight of the trip for me – great settings, interesting conversations and fantastic food (often cooked over the coals).
To specifically answer your “Guest Satisfaction Survey”…….
Pre tour service – This was exceptional. Most professional. We were regularly updated and always knew well in advance what we were in for. Thanks for buying our drinks for us, and for organizing the horizontal falls. It helped enormously, and made for plain sailing.
Itinerary – As stated above, this can’t be bettered. We went to all the right places, and spent enough time at each one.
Meals – Great quality, quantity and variety. If anything, we were fed too much. I’m usually very disciplined when it comes to food, but (maybe it was the setting, who knows) I hoovered up anything and everything and went back for seconds!!
Campsites – The only one I found any fault with was the one at Manning Gorge. It was a bit grubby, and the power went off every evening by 8.00. There was also masses of thorns. I think I was the only one who felt that way though (remember I’m not a camper), but it was more than made up for by the Falls themselves and the wonderfultime we had at the site. I guess there’s nothing you can do about it – you have to stay there to see the falls.
Tour guides – Fantastic – see comments above. Thanks Mark and Carmel. There were also two apprentice guides on the tour – Chris and Jan Sanders. They were also great company and will make excellent guides.
Comfort generally – Hey, it’s camping. For what it was, the comfort was five star!
Hygiene – Not sure what you want to hear here. There were washing and bathing facilities everywhere, so the personal hygiene was fine. As far as the food etc went, Carmel did a superb job- how she kept the kitchen clean in all that dust is a miracle!
Other suggestions – Keep on doing things as you are. It was really awesome.
Regards,
Yvonne and Ant Dry
