We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.

Firstly Bob and I would like to thankyou and your team, especially Liz and Phil, for the opportunity to have the most amazing Kimberley adventure; something we could never have contemplated on our own. Knowledgeable expertise, wonderful hospitality and caring company made our time so very memorable.
Thank you one and all.
Hello Simone,
Last week I completed your 12 day Kimberley Adventure, it was an amazing experience. Liz and Phil, our tour leaders, demonstrated immense knowledge and love of the Kimberley area and worked hard to make it a trip of a lifetime for each of their guests; they were totally professional in their approach, yet still relaxed and good fun.
The itinerary was excellent, the tents and swags comfortable, the All-Terrain 4WD coach was superb and the standard of food that Liz and Phil produced far exceeded expectations – delicious meals, snacks and plenty of fresh fruit and salad.
I don’t usually participate in organised tours, preferring to travel independently, but I could not have enjoyed this trip more, I have already recommended it to numerous friends.
Thank you!
Hi Simone and Karl,
I just loved my Adventure Wild trip and can’t remember how many times I said “Wow” along the way. The scenery was stunning and the food delicious.
Hats off to Thommo and Gools. Their professionalism, attention to detail and organisational skills ensured we all had the best time.
I loved the stories and laughs around the campfire each night. I haven’t laughed so much in a long time! Thanks to everyone on the tour for making this trip so special. As a solo traveller, I had a great time and would recommend this trip to anyone that would enjoy this style of traveling.
Hello Simone,
We want to thank you for assisting us with the last-minute change to our trip when we were left stranded in Darwin resulting in us missing our original tour. With all the stress that followed our missed flight to Broome, your and Karl’s calm assistance was exactly what we needed.
As for the trip itself, it was brilliant. Phil and Liz are worth their weight in gold. Staff have a huge impact on the image of a company and the satisfaction of customers; Phil and Liz were fantastic. Nothing was any trouble for them. They were always calm, helpful, friendly, generous…I could add many more adjectives but you get the message. They clearly love their job, the bush, natural and indigenous history and especially the Kimberley. Their commentary over the 12 days was very informative and interesting, giving context to the many wonderful experiences and sights we had during the trip. They helped the group quickly gel very well.
The quality of the meals and smokos and the quantity of food was more than we could have expected. The on-board library was well used. The driving was careful and safe and the Gibb River Road and track into Purnululu National Park were something to behold, especially up at the front of the truck with Phil.
A great trip which we will definitely recommend. (We went because it was highly recommended to us.)
G&T [never did get that introductory Gin and Tonic] – Gools and Thommo went above and beyond the call of duty to give 14 of us a perfectly run and fun filled “Gorgeous” tour of the Kimberley. We got to lots of wonderful Gorges and the Gorged ourselves on surprisingly delightfull meals for the whole twelve days. Despite my occasional whingeing about 6am breakfasts – the early starts always proved wise as we were generally leaving the key sites before the other buses and SUVs loomed into view – yep, had the hot springs and many a billabong to ourselves.
We could all live without the deeply rutted Gibb River Road but in the end those bumps and shudders rivet the whole experience into one’s memory forever. As they say no pain – no gain.

Thank you Liz and Phil for our amazing trip of the Kimberley.
Your love of the area, and passion for sharing your knowledge with all of us was obvious to us from the beginning of the tour
As first time campers, we had some concerns about how we would enjoy the experience, but we shouldn’t have worried, we loved every moment of it. The tents and swags were comfy, bathrooms were great (my favorites were the ones where I could look up at the sky as I showered) and the food that you provided from such a limited kitchen were delicious. The chats around the campfire at the end of each day, whilst a scrumptious dinner was being prepared each evening were memorable.
The Gibb River road is an amazing drive, stunning scenery and I’m glad we did it with the skill of such a careful driver as Phil. Our walks to the spectacular gorges were a highlight for me. The lure of a plunge into a cooling gorge pool was always inviting, and having 2 guides meant that even if you stopped for photos of the amazing area, you were never left, or pressured to walk at a pace beyond your own.
Liz and Phil, you are such wonderful hosts and a fabulous team. You approached everything with such joy and calm. You did everything you could to ensure that everyone had the experience that they wanted, without missing out on anything. Nothing was ever too much trouble to you.
I had a great trip and enjoyed the second half more than the first half. Both Mark and Carmel were exceptional and displayed care and kindness especially needed as we were unescorted as orginally planned.
Thanks again.
Thank you Judy for showing me the Kimberley through the expertise of Adventure Wild. The BEST holiday! Our hosts were thoroughly professional and their knowledge of the history, botanical and geographical features and the fauna and flora made for the complete package.
After the ‘fog’ (!!!!) had initially upset our much anticipated Horizontal Falls trip, Simone presented us with so many other options, nothing was a problem, including Karl’s ‘Cook’s Tour’ of Broome. I will, and have already recommended Adventure Wild and G.O.T. to all whom I speak.
All the little extras that Carmel and Mark very creatively wove through our itinerary, meant so much. I was one of the problem children with a dietary issue, that Carmel ingeniously overcame. I appreciated the special effort, thank you, especially with your having to sort all the other meals as well. The laughs, the jokes, and how everyone pitched in, will contribute to a memorable holiday. Who will forget Mark’s ‘T.T.T.’ chats? The scenery, the aboriginal art, great meals, characters, campfires, the light aircraft extras (that tried to put the Kimberley landscape into some sort of perspective) the Kimberley massage (hope it shook off some weight)….. the whole experience exceeded my expectations.
Our hosts were so well organised, sometimes making itinerary refinements to enhance our enjoyment of this magical region. One of the highlights must be the champers overlooking El Questro property and the Pentecost River, and the scone stop at Ellenbrae. With these thoughtful extras and great organising it made for a fabulous trip….I cursed the early mornings but as the day unfolded, it was totally necessary to fit it all in!
Loved the last night at our private camp on the cattle station. I wish we could have had two nights, even if we did nothing the next day. All of the campsites had good amenities, the Kununurra site was quite noisy from the trucks and we had a loud serenade all night but that couldn’t be helped. I still giggle at the sound of zippers; it was a hoot!
The kaleidescope of Kimberley colours from vivid greens, golds, reds, ochres, and those turquoise blues, have certainly inspired this artist’s pallet and for several canvas projects.
Well done to all those involved. I hope Mark and Carmel enjoy a well deserved holiday!
Cheers.
Hi Simone,
I would also like to congratulate you and your company on a beautifully run Adventure Wild tour. I absolutely loved every aspect of it and will recommend it to every one I talk to. Mark and Carmel made it so special. The camping, meals, organization, treks, camp fires and daily adventures will stay in my memory forever. I have made so many new friends.
I have learned so much about our big, wide, wonderful country, thanks to your company. Keep doing what you do as you do it so well. I also loved the extras e.g. helicopter rides and small plane trips, my bucket list is being fulfilled (and maybe added to).
Hi Simone
We have just returned from our Adventure Wild 12 day Kimberley adventure. It was wonderful – exceeded our expectations! Our hosts Gools and Thommo (aka Cheryl and Wayne) were exceptional. They clearly love their work and working in the Kimberley region. They are both very knowledgeable about the region – was also great that they shared the driving, especially along the Gibb! They ensured that everyone in the group felt comfortable doing all of the outdoor activities and the fact that Gools lead most of the walks (at a fast pace) but Thommo was at the rear (following and assisting) the slower walkers meant that we never felt pressured to go beyond our own comfort level/ability. And the food!!! Fantastic meals- way beyond what I was expecting to have on a camping trip! The only thing I won’t miss is the sound of the tent zippers at various hours of the early morning.
Thank you also for answering my many questions and emails prior to our trip – your prompt and detailed replies made me feel very confident that we would have a wonderful adventure.
