Testimonial for Adventure Wild

Elizabeth Mabb

Year of Tour: 2018

Thank you Judy for showing me the Kimberley through the expertise of Adventure Wild. The BEST holiday! Our hosts were thoroughly professional and their knowledge of the history, botanical and geographical features and the fauna and flora made for the complete package.

After the ‘fog’ (!!!!) had initially upset our much anticipated Horizontal Falls trip, Simone presented us with so many other options, nothing was a problem, including Karl’s ‘Cook’s Tour’ of Broome. I will, and have already recommended Adventure Wild and G.O.T. to all whom I speak.

All the little extras that Carmel and Mark very creatively wove through our itinerary, meant so much. I was one of the problem children with a dietary issue, that Carmel ingeniously overcame. I appreciated the special effort, thank you, especially with your having to sort all the other meals as well.  The laughs, the jokes, and how everyone pitched in, will contribute to a memorable holiday. Who will forget Mark’s ‘T.T.T.’ chats? The scenery, the aboriginal art, great meals, characters, campfires, the light aircraft extras (that tried to put the Kimberley landscape into some sort of perspective) the Kimberley massage (hope it shook off some weight)….. the whole experience exceeded my expectations.

Our hosts were so well organised, sometimes making itinerary refinements to enhance our enjoyment of this magical region. One of the  highlights must be the champers overlooking El Questro property and the Pentecost River, and the scone stop at Ellenbrae.  With these thoughtful extras and great organising it made for a fabulous trip….I cursed the early mornings but as the day unfolded, it was totally necessary to fit it all in!

Loved the last night at our private camp on the cattle station.  I wish we could have had two nights, even if we did nothing the next day.  All of the campsites had good amenities, the Kununurra site was quite noisy from the trucks and we had a loud serenade all night but that couldn’t be helped.  I still giggle at the sound of zippers; it was a hoot!

The kaleidescope of Kimberley colours from vivid greens, golds, reds, ochres, and those turquoise blues, have certainly inspired this artist’s pallet and for several canvas projects.

Well done to all those involved. I hope Mark and Carmel enjoy a well deserved holiday!

Cheers.
