We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.

Hi Simone & Karl
We would like to thank you for organising such an amazing tour. Having never been to the Kimberley before, we’d only seen it in pictures and on the TV. Having now visited and toured through the Kimberley, we realise that you just cannot appreciate the beauty of the area without actually travelling through it. Absolutely stunning and better than we had ever imagined. Your organisation for the tour was fantastic, so courteous and helpful – we were lucky that we only had a small tour group and we all got on really well. The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience. We even had a snake in the toilet on the last night in Fitzroy Crossing (ably dealt with by Phil) which added to the excitement. I’ve already spoken to many friends about our experience and all have asked for details about Adventure Wild.
And finally, is there a better couple of tour guides than Phil and Liz. I can’t praise them highly enough for helping to make it a very special tour. Such a lovely couple who couldn’t do enough for you. They were so patient and thoughtful and incredible meals served on the tour. Nothing seemed to faze them and they were so organised. They worked endless from the time they got up (I didn’t even know that 5am existed?) to the time we all went to bed. Never met such a nice, considerate and caring couple. If the world was full of people like Phil and Liz, the world would be a lot better place.
Anyway, please pass our thanks onto all involved for helping us have such an amazing journey.
Just completed the 12 day Kimberley Adventure with Carmel and Mark. The experience they provided was outstanding in so many ways. Their willingness to help was a true credit to the organisation they work for, nothing was ever too much trouble, they helped us through difficult gorges, so we could experience the grandeur and beauty that is the Kimberley gorges.
Their knowledge of the plants and animals was amazing and often we would stop along the way, just so the group could get that special photograph of something we will most likely never see again. The team work and organisation around camp was again outstanding, they made it fun for everyone and accommodated each persons differences and needs with a smile.
I couldn’t recommend them highly enough even though I know this was their last trip. Thanks Adventure Wild and a special thanks to Carmel and Mark for an experience of a lifetime.
What a fantastic trip, we were so well looked after.
The food was great and the scenery amazing. There were a great bunch of travelling companions with us from all walks of life.
Our tour guides, Carmel and Mark, are very special people that made the entire trip such a pleasure. Constant laughter and an experience exceeding our expectations.
After years of waffling and trying to figure out the best way to explore the Kimberley region without risking our own vehicle, we settled on the Adventure Wild option and we are both incredibly grateful that we did. The whole trip from beginning to end was so well planned and executed from the camping to the FOOD (no fear of losing weight!) and commentary by Carmel and Mark. There is absolutely nothing I would change about the holiday. Mark and Carmel made us feel special, even adding in a few little extras like Cj’s birthday celebration.
Well done to everyone who is involved in pulling off these once-in-a-lifetime trips for us. It will be cherished in our memory for years to come!
From the moment we stepped onto the bus our guides, Phil and Liz made us feel welcome. Once all aboard, our journey began.
The information about flora and fauna was incredible.
The scenery, rustic colours and wildlife was fabulous.
Every day was eventful and interesting.
We stayed at remote stations, where we showered under the stars.
All our dietary requirements were met with “choices”.
Our adventure kept on giving.
Can’t speak highly enough about Phill and Liz, they were great company, very experienced and offered a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks again.
Hi Simone
Thanks to Adventure Wild, I’ve travelled the Gibb and experienced the Bungles from the ground and above. These iconic Kimberly destinations were a must see and my thanks to hosts Carmel and Mark for their knowledge, enthusiasm and care of our group. The unique geology and ancient landforms were special to me and I learned the Kimberly ‘collided’ with northern Australia about 1830 million years ago.
The extremely dry conditions enriched our experience in many ways and we now appreciate what a harsh, unforgiving environment this part of Australia can be. But it also had its natural beauty and advantages especially in the variety of birdlife that was concentrated around water holes for our viewing.
Your balanced itinerary and excellent tour model have given me many personal memories that I will reflect on and share with family and friends.
Regards
Thankyou Adventure Wild

Simone answered every phone call and query
Hi Simone
What an adventure. I can’t speak highly enough of our guides Carmel and Mark whose energy, enthusiasm, knowledge and dedication to the welfare of our group was truly inspiring. The itinerary was spectacular and even though the conditions were very dry and the Gibb River Road was a rutted mess, I have had one of the most memorable and positive experiences of my life. The communication with yourself and Karl was terrific and everything went like clockwork.
As we travelled around, I was able to observe the other tour operators in action and am so glad that I chose Adventure Wild from all the options available.
Well done to everyone in your team.
Regards
This tour was great value for money. The distances we travelled were gruelling but the sights made it worth it. The whole trip was a great adventure and we were excellently looked after by Gools and Thommo. Their experience as guides was obvious and the food was a highlight.
If you want to see the Kimberley then I would thoroughly recommend this company and this tour.
What a fantastic trip. Twelve extremely enjoyable, fun filled days. Two very experienced, knowledgeable guides (Phil & Liz) for whom nothing was too much trouble. They catered thoughtfully for all dietary preferences, organised days packed with activities and monitored each individual as to their capabilities when considering hiking, swimming or just generally sightseeing. They were easy company and full of good stories which fleshed out our direct experiences. These two talented guides could turn their hand to pretty much anything which was required. I always felt safe in their capable hands. This was a holiday which coincided with a major birthday for me. It is definitely one which will stand out across quite a long lifetime of birthdays.
