Thanks for your happy company on what was a truly wonderful trip for John and I.  That country, those walks, that food, that evening fire, our fabulous tour leaders – it couldn’t have been better.  Here’s our song.  What great fun.  I thought we did a pretty good job considering we hadn’t practiced, and the “boys” were outstanding with their sassy arm movements!  Well done for the choreography Maryanne.

Camping on the Manning, talkin’ round the fire

 

We’re im the Kimberley, come and have some fun

Rock art country takes your breath away

Galvan’s Gorge had crocodiles, Maryanne swam away

 

Long drive on the Gibb, over that rough road

Heading to Home Valley on the Pentecost

Sunset on the Cockburn Range looked like fire

 

To El Questro, via Emma Gorge

Deb took a rough tumble, wow that is some bruise

Spend the afternoon on a Chamberlain Cruise

 

Finally we got to the end of the Gibb Road

Prince Phil’s causing trouble on the old highway

Could have come to blows without diplomacy

 

We’ve been up the country, had a super time

Now we’ve gotta talk about everyone

Queen Lizzie’s such a diplomat, we all feel OK

 

Stew and Dave have been together since their kindy days

Karen and Rob don’t mind it cos they have such fun

Phil and Gail are busy, always on the run

 

Grant’s the man with a camera, hope he shares some shots

Muriel’s always well groomed and such a chatterbox

John’s been on the shark watch, only seen some crocs

 

Barry found musical heaven at the Dusty Bar

Goin’ to the country, our group is far from mild
