We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.

Dear Simone,
Thankyou for your email re our recent tour of the Kimberley with your organisation. I thought I would just write down a few thoughts re ’the trip’.
1. Overall organisation:-
A very efficiently run company with good responsiveness to queries and an ability to be flexible re times by which things needed to be ‘locked in’. ie deciding which optional trips to undertake. All staff that I had any dealings with were helpful, competent and prompt.
2. Itinerary:-
An ambitious schedule obviously designed to try and showcase as much of the area’s diverse attractions as possible in the available time. This is very attractive and I commend the planners for the choices made as to which areas to visit, bearing in mind that different people will have varying opinions on what is a ‘must see’. Given the area to be covered is quite large and that the allocated time is limited, choices have to be made as to what to see and how much time is spent at each venue. I feel that a good compromise was struck on this tour.
I personally would have preferred more time in some locations investigating local flora and fauna, and less time in swimming holes, but I am aware that this is a minority view. Having to travel long distances meant a lot of time in the bus/truck looking out the windows. This is great for general ’scenery’ viewing but frustrating if something interesting is observed, as the vehicle can’t just keep stopping!
3. Campsites/accommodation:-
This is after all a camping trip and as such, a degree of compromise is obviously required re comfort. Overall the campsites were adequate, with some being better than others, particularly in the area of ablutions! The tents were serviceable and roomy and, as they were already set up for us at each site (with one exception) I found them to be more than adequate and easy to use. I felt that the (supplied) ’swags’ ie combination mattress, sheet, pillow and sleeping bag and cover were a good idea. These could be rolled up into a bundle and transported from place to place on our bus. It would seem that most people found them to be quite adequate, although I found the padding to be a bit thin. I also found the nights a bit cold for me, even though I was wearing numerous layers of clothing. That being said, I did manage to get a reasonable amount of sleep most nights.
4. Meals:-
I found the meals to be of excellent quality, quantity and variety, although they were predominately ‘western’ style meals that may not appeal to all tastes. A vegetarian option was always offered.
5. Tour Guides:-
For this trip we had two staff (Liz and Phil) that acted not only as drivers and tour guides but also cooks, first aid officers, general fonts of information re the area, geology, flora and fauna, and indigenous people and were all ’round friendly and approachable. I can not speak highly enough of the professionalism of them both while at the same time they were very pleasant people. They put up with my tardiness on the walks, my endless questions about the flora and fauna, and my grumbles with tolerance and understanding. I felt like they were old friends after only a few hours acquaintance .
In summary i would highly recommend this company and this tour to anyone that has always wanted a ‘Kimberley adventure’ but has neither the equipment, time, knowledge or experience to ’self cater’.
Best regards
Hi & thanks,
Fabulous journey through the top end of WA for a taste of the Kimberley. From the gorgeous gorges to the awesome Bungle Bungle Range all expertly managed by our guides Phil and Liz who have a fantastic depth of knowledge and experience.
Cheers
The ONLY camping tour in town!!!!
I couldn’t fault Adventure Wild, from Simones’ excellent communication during the booking process right through to our last day on tour. Peter and Sarah were wonderful guides, Peter’s morning jokes were loved by all, and the food was healthy and fresh. Real coffee in the morning was a fantastic surprise. Our group got on well together, lots of laughs and excellent participation by all. Everyone contributed and that made a great group. Special thanks to Pete and Sarah
Dear Simone and Karl
Thank you for organising such a wonderful tour through the Kimberley. It definitely exceeded my expectations.
Phil and Liz were fantastic guides and could not have been more friendly and helpful. Their experience made the tour run so smoothly and their knowledge of the area gave us a wonderful introduction to this remote part of WA.
I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Kind regards
Hi Simone,
I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the trip and Liz & Phil were wonderful and caring guides. We all felt well cared for on the trip.

From Trip Advisor:
Adventure Wild Trip 1-12 August 2025 – Kimberley Adventurer Excellent experience with wonderful memories. Simone provided management and administration above and beyond the call of duty before the trip and it was a pleasure to deal with her during the run up to the tour itself. Plentiful information on the tour itinerary as well as packing suggestions and travel advice was provided before the trip commenced.
The whole trip was well organised: prepositioned tents are an excellent idea and combination of swag, sleeping bags and linen proved to be comfortable and warm. The presence of toilet and laundry facilities at the camping sites was much appreciated by all.
Magnus and Wendy are wonderful team – knowledgeable, friendly and accommodated every request and helped our group to bond quickly. Wendy’s meals were plentiful and tasty, especially dessert, all the more appreciated since they are prepared in what is effectively a camp kitchen.
Trips into the Gorges and Bungles were well supervised and information on the area was provided via general conversation and Q&A rather than as ‘information’. Early departures to beat the crowd proved to be wise decisions based on previous experience. The whole of the region is impressive but for me the Pentecost River at sundown and the Bungles were magnificent. The Bungles road is a real ‘boneshaker’ but even so we felt in safe hands with Magnus driving.
All in all a brilliant trip to the Kimberleys – to be remembered for all the best reasons.
Hi!
Thank you for an amazing camping adventure around the Kimberley! I had the best of times and enjoyed every moment of the 12-day trip. The itinerary was great, the nature stunning, and the camping was fun.
I was particularly lucky to go on tour with what must have been the best group of the 2025 season. My fellow travellers were all interesting and fun people, and most importantly, everyone was always on time and did their very best to help set up and take down camp. We all became a great team who worked extremely well together under the fabulous leadership of our tour guides, Wendy and Magnus.
What a couple! Without Wendy and Magnus, the trip would not have been as interesting and smooth. They are knowledgeable, kind and entertaining, and took such good care of us. They went out of their way to ensure everybody had a great time and shared both their knowledge and their personal experiences willingly. At the same time, they showed genuine interest in each and every traveller in the group. Also, they served us the best food imaginable, with lots of cooked breakfasts, varied and delicious two-course dinners, and tasty lunches, as well as morning tea and a never-ending supply of snacks and fruit throughout the day. Magnus’s safe driving also deserves a special mention.
Thanks again to Wendy, Magnus and the rest of the Adventure Wild team for an unforgettable experience!
Hi Simone,
Thanks for sending the updated brochures
I took 3 to my bushwalking club meeting and they were snapped up! And 3 to the Botanic Gardens where I volunteer, and they were most appropriated too! I’d be surprised if you don’t get at least one booking, perhaps more. I thoroughly loved my holiday with Phil and Lizzie. It was better than all my north end experience, and that includes a Kimberley art cruise, a Darwin to Kakadu trip and a Larapinta trip.
One friend asked what was special about it? The camping, the swimming, the ancient rocks that were formed before life came out of the sea! The people, the places we went it was so good I’d turn around and go back today.
I’m so glad my friend recommended you when I mentioned I’d like to go to the Kimberleys.
You are doing a great job!
Kind regards
Hello,
I would like to thank the Adventure Wild tour heading to El Questro today for stopping to see if we needed help when we shredded our van tyre. I declined help as they had their tourists and destination to get to, but I am really humbled that they offered help and asked if we had enough water.
Regards
What a wonderful outback Kimberley experience. Sarah and Pete are fantastic guides, totally professional, fun, top chefs, knowledgeable and able to cater for the needs of all guests with ease. Pete’s joke of the day just got better every day! The relaxed hiking pace suited our group with plenty of time for swimming at waterfalls which we loved. Great vehicle and comfy warm swags and tents. This tour hit many highlights of the Kimberley!
