Rugged Terrain Made Easy – An incredible 12-day Kimberley Adventure

I had an amazing 12-day tour in the Kimberley with Adventure Wild. As a hiker and a solo traveller, I was a bit sceptical about taking an organized tour. But this was the only way I could explore such rugged terrain without having to worry about the logistics.

The tour was very well organized, and everything was clearly communicated. I had a great time with like-minded people. Our tour guides, Kaz and Jimmy, were amazing—they were caring, thoughtful, and made everything possible. We enjoyed amazing food by the fire, sharing stories under the stars.

The Kimberley is a very special place, quite different from the rest of Australia, especially coming from Melbourne. The Bungle Bungles was probably my highlight. I loved swimming in the gorges and hiking on the red dirt. I wish I could have done more hiking, but time was limited and everyone’s physical abilities were not equal, which is understandable.

I felt that being a family business they were so much more accommodating than the big companies. We also had Karl with us, who shared his local knowledge/ experience. Every night, Kaz would cook up a five-star meal, and Jimmy impressed us with his damper and Billy tea. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience! Five stars !
