We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.

A huge thank you goes out to you, Greg and Choccy for making my trip such a memorable one. Everyone wants to know what was the best part, but there wasn’t just one as every part of our trip was sensational. Everyone got along so well and with Greg and Choccy’s expertise and love for the Kimberley, each day was another unique surprise and experience.
The food was delicious, wholesome and filling, the campsites were experiences in themselves, the bus was spacious and comfortable and not once did it feel like we were on a group tour.
Thank you again for creating such beautiful memories of a unique part of Australia. I will be recommending this tour to all of my friends.

We cannot speak too highly of Adventure Wild, our Kimberley trip or our fabulous guides. The holiday exceeded even our high expectations. Everything was extremely well organised but very relaxed. The camping was terrific – and comfortable. The food excellent. Our guides Gools and Thommo were well informed, very friendly, good fun and were altogether superb. Add in the amazing scenery and it was the perfect holiday!
Thank you.

KIMBERLEY CAMPING
When we headed out from Broome
We left behind our gloom
Striking out to the northeast
Expecting adventure at the very least
We are a gregarious crowd
Some rather quiet some quite loud
But we all get on well
And there are many stories to tell
Our leaders are sublime
Giving us all a great time
The meals were excellent
Thanks to Carmel’s management
A hardy few rolled our swags
And provided us with some mighty gags
We didn’t like the early rise
But each day was a great surprise
We walked in a beaut gorge
Gee, I can’t remember the name
Next day we saw another
It was pretty much the same
———————————-
We got up in the dark
And blamed it on Mark
We walked over rocks
Got dirty red socks
We bathed in warm springs
Did lots of fun things
We saw lots of kites
Went on helicopter flights
Stayed at a very posh station
Which gave us a sense of elation
Now, gone is the gloom
But the trip had to end
And, just a short drive now
Lies the lovely city of Broome

The trip was better than fabulous. It was so good in all respects. Carmel and Mark are definite ‘keepers’. They were relaxed but efficient. Calm but got things done. Patient and never complaining. No sign of irritation, being flustered, wishing we wouldn’t ask for more coffee or ask again where the bowls/knives/cereal/boards/ Vita Weets, full cream milk, stools, table cloths … are kept.
The food was delicious and plentiful. Some people went on about there being too much food but what I say is “Well you don’t HAVE to eat it.”
I felt totally safe as a passenger and I am not fond of being a passenger on long trips.
The places we went are beyond description – I had no expectations of The Kimberly and knew nothing about it and so it was all a marvellous surprise.
I think it is the best trip I have been on and so congratulations on being such a great company and providing such an excellent and exciting tour.
So thanks to you and Rory and Mark and Carmel and all who made it possible.

We can’t speak highly enough of our experience on the Adventure Wild safari in the Kimberly. Kappo and Adey struck a perfect balance between meticulously attending to the details and creating a spontaneous and enjoyable social atmosphere. As a result, we didn’t just see the Kimberly, we shared a truly remarkable experience with a diverse and friendly group of fellow travelers. We’ll recommend your tour to anyone who asks.

Re feedback, Elizabeth and I answered the questions in some detail. Reiterating, in summary, we found Greg and Choccy to be a most remarkable couple for their skills and suitability for the job they were doing. In summary, they are:
The perfect hosts – nothing was too much trouble for them and they treated each of us as a close friend. Both are real ‘people’s people’. There was never the slightest hint of irritation from either.
Highly entertaining – Greg’s stories and Choccy’s way of expressing things were outstanding.
Highly knowledgeable – they knew an incredible amount of detail about, and stories associated with, the places we visited or travelled past.
Amazingly well organised – Greg kept the bus and trailer fully attended to and Choccy handled our food needs, etc, with extraordinary ‘smoothness’.
Both Greg and Choccy are outstandingly capable. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the way they operated throughout the trip.
One thing that Elizabeth and I hugely appreciated was the way Choccy catered for our very specific meal requests. Without any fuss on her part, we ate just as if we were at home and just as healthily as we do at home. How she managed to provide us with fresh fruit salads all those days out ‘in the wilderness’, we have no idea.
We thank you and Rory for putting on such a great trip at an affordable rate.

BUNGLES
You may have thought the screech you heard was the crow just out of bed
Or maybe a road train passing some long long way ahead
But neither of these are right you know
For it was for the early rush for the starlight morning show
Well this early morning noise appeared to have a special mating call
As the screeching of the zips are heard and awaking nearly all
There are the ones that are short and sharp and others a piecing screech
One wonders if the noise is made so that others they will meet
For it was at the Bungles where the Loo’s they have no top
Tis a place where you can see the stars if you have time to stop
It can either be when you are showering or shampooing your sweaty hair
Or just relaxing on the seat that has been provided there
Well the day out from camp was another special trip
To locations such as The Domes walk, Picanniny Creek, Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm all set out on the list
The road it was corrugated and so really red and bumpy
But driving by Gools and Thommo was so great that nobody got grumpy
As we bumped along some gazed the view
Or pointed out plants or animals which they thought they really knew
Like the excited call from Bob who loudly yelled “There’s a Turkey Busted”
Which some thought a little different and sounded like “Thommo *!!**!!” instead
Well I am very thankful for the special iconic places that are there
As they will provide great memories for me to take and share
It’s now a great place to say that I have been
And I feel very privileged for what I’ve done and also what I have seen.
Thanks Adventure Wild – Great Trip arranged and undertaken by real professionals.
