Wonderful camping trip through the spectacular Kimberley region
We had an amazing 12 day experience travelling through the Kimberley region, led by our awesome tour guides Thommo and Gools.
The campsites we stayed at and the swags provided were comfortable and the food was excellent, much better than we expected.
The gorges and waterfalls we visited were spectacular and we would recommend taking the optional tours which were very enjoyable.
We were very impressed with Adventure Wild including the service provided by Simone and Karl through the booking process and answering our questions ahead of the trip and the comfortable and well appointed 4wd vehicle we travelled on.
Thommo and Gools were such fantastic tour guides. Everything was so well organised throughout the trip and they couldn’t do enough for their guests. Their friendly nature and sense of humour made the trip relaxed and a lot of fun, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Finally, we travelled with 14 other people from around Australia who were strangers on day 1 and friends at the end of the tour, some of whom we will have lasting friendships

| Our 12 day camping trip was the ultimate Kimberley experience. Beautiful tents were set up ready for us each night, and we camped in interesting and beautiful places all immersed in gorgeous Kimberley scenes. We were freaky impressed that there was no single supplement- each had their own tent.
Our guides (we had Thommo and Gools) are a couple with extraordinary experience and knowledge of Kimberley culture, geography, flora and fauna – I think they were able to answer every question! They took us to some incredible off-the-beaten track experiences such as gorges and walks. The food each day was delicious – continental breakfasts in camp (a couple of times we’d get a breakfast pack to eat on the way if there was an early start). Lunches were delicious and served from the camp trailer, often eaten under a shady tree. Dinners in camp were delicious home cooked creations by Gools – a different nationality food each night. They took us through each activity with amazing knowledge and looked after us from the most beginner fitness level to the fit seasoned traveller. Every experience was a marvel. Occasionally I felt a bit out of my comfort zone – Gools and Thommo were great at supporting and encouraging those of us who needed it. Our adventures included walking to and swimming in amazing gorges, waterfalls, hot springs, river pools. Experiences such as boat trips into gorges or rivers (Ord River, Lake Argyle etc) and walking along river banks etc. Adventure Wild were so helpful arranging to fly someone home for a family emergency. I could go on and on – can’t recommend this highly enough. 10 stars for you guys! |

Just to let you know that I had a wonderful time. We were lucky I think that we were a small group. Gools and Thommo were great. Not only as our leaders but in every aspect, nothing was ever any trouble to them. Honest and down to earth people that helped this old woman tick something off her bucket list. Felt at ease and safe at all times not to mention the cooking.

First and foremost, my apologies for taking so long to submit my review of my Kimberley tour with Adventure Wild. Prior to booking, I researched tours of the Kimberley extensively and recall letting you know that Adventure Wild was highly recommended to me by another WA travel company. It was this peer-review testimonial that prompted my decision to choose your very affordable all-inclusive tour package. Simone, you were always very timely and thorough in responding to my phone calls and emails; thank you.
From the outset, guides Gools and Thommo set the tone with their personalised manner, travel experience, extensive knowledge and love of the Kimberley. The itinerary was perfect! The 12 days captured the expansive and stunning landscape for which the Kimberley Region is world-renowned. For a novice camper like me who has never slept in a swag before, camp-life was surprisingly good. The custom-built air-conditioned vehicle was well-equipped and comfortable and the group size was just right; a mix of friendly couples and single adventurers who mucked in and looked out for one another. The catering was beyond exceptional! Each night, thanks to Gools, we feasted on freshly-made dishes from around the world.
Thank you for this once-in-a-lifetime memorable Kimberley experience. Adventure Wild delivered as promised. To all the wanderlusters out there, go and see the Kimberley with Adventure Wild. I’m glad I did as I definitely got my money’s worth and then some.

My time on tour was perfect in every way. I was treated like a queen. The tour guides could not do enough for each and everyone. The catering was so ymmy, the fruit was so fresh and there is nothing better than outdoor cooking. I will be doing the trip again.
