We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Well where do I begin with talking about my Broome to Broome trip!
Tour guides Gooles & Thommo were fantastic, food wonderful & varied, knowledge of area excellent!
Brilliant driving along those roads, accomodation great – the last nights camp was “breath taking” a lovely lagoon and views and no one else around, needs a pontoon as mud to get in is really squelchy ( I had to pick on something).
I will certainly promote your wonderful trip as its etched in my mind.
When I first talked to Gooles & Thommo last year at Traralgon caravan show my mind was virtually made up as everything was done so quickly and professionally, Thommo said I would have an email that night and I did and from there on you were so in touch it was really good.
Cheers to you all & Heartfelt thanks for our wonderfull guides who looked after all of us & great memories.

I loved my holiday! Absolutely.
The Kimberly landscape itself must be the star. It was a feast for the senses every day in every way. It was beautiful from the nearest swathe of green, golden grasses to the vast and ancient vistas. I loved the colours. We swam nearly every day in warm, clear waterholes and dried ourselves on sun warmed rocks.
Evenings were spent eating fresh and delicious meals cooked by Carmel and Mark and then sitting around the fire sipping (slurping) beverages(wine) contemplating the day that had just passed.
The highlights for me were (and it’s a personal thing):
Sleeping in a swag under the stars and moon each night. Tents are provided if alfresco sleeping isn’t your thing.
Swimming in that beautiful, soft, fresh water.
The light: it was sunny and clear and warm every day and the light just enhanced the beauty of everything, especially mid-morning and mid-arvo.
Our guides, Carmel and Mark. Those two are a wonderful couple. I think they were born for this job and they gave so much and we all appreciated it all. I have never laughed so hard at a badly told joke, Mark. Thank you both so much.
My score – 9.75/ 10. A quarter of a point is taken off for music selection. If I never have to listen to John Farnham or John Williamson again I will be a happy woman.

It wasn’t until we arrived home and I summarised for a friend what we got up to on the trip that the experiences of the whole journey really sunk in. When you’re on the go you don’t often have time to reflect. This is essentially what I told her:
“Where else do you get the chance to drive around the outback in a 4 wheel drive bus pulling a trailer containing all of your food and drink supplies; kitchen equipment, tables; chairs and even a chainsaw for cutting wood. We saw many gorges; did a fair bit of walking; sat around the campfire at night having all sorts of discussions; met people from all walks of life; avoided the cows in the campground (on the way to the toilet in the middle of the night); had a formal night – ladies take your tiaras; looked at a $300000 pink diamond ring and other expensive jewellery; drank rum at a Hoochery (distillery); saw millions of stars; checked out the native flora and fauna; were evacuated from a campground because of a fire; flew over Mitchell Falls in a plane; flew over the Bungle Bungles in a helicopter; cruised a couple of gorges; camped on a cattle station; crossed many rivers and creeks; swam in rivers, creeks, gorges, hot springs and under waterfalls; slept in a swag in tents; watched many sunrises and sunsets; and had a great time. That’s the Adventure Wild experience all in 12 days. Thanks Adey and Kappo for a wonderful holiday”.

Having just returned from the Adventure Wild 12 day tour from Broome to Broome along the Gibb River Rd, I can thoroughly recommend Adventure Wild tours. We travelled with a varied and diverse group of people, who by the end the trip, were all bonded by our fantastic experience.
The landscape and the sights we saw , the gorges and waterfalls , the mountain ranges, the sunsets and sunrises, the ancient rock formations, were all stunning. There were plenty of walks and many many swims in beautiful billabongs, rivers and under waterfalls, and also a good bit of rock hopping. Some of the rock art we were taken to was the best I have seen. Our campsites were always perfect, our tents were great and our swags were very comfortable…. perfect for sleeping out under the stars.
Our hosts Mark and Carmel were totally fantastic. Warm and down to earth people (and also very very funny) they made sure that each of us was comfortable. Any request or question was never too much trouble. Our meals were always delicious and nutritious and cooked with no fuss and much laughter. Mark was happy to stop the truck wherever anyone wanted to have a closer look, or for a photo opportunity. We all very much enjoyed their company and the adventures they took us on. I would never have guessed that this was their first tour. They were perfect.
A fantastic trip that I will speak highly of to friends and relatives.

Posted on Facebook – A big thank you to Adey and Rory for looking after Santo and I so well on a recent trip which was very well organised and professional. The meals were delicious with plenty for all. Some of the highlights for me were the Cathedral Gorge, the helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles, the beautiful night sky and the night of the impromptu orchestra session! Keep up the good work!

We have been super impressed with Adventure Wild service and Gools and Thommo are fabulous hosts and a real asset to your company. They’ve looked after dad with his special needs superbly. This is going to be a trip we remember for a long time to come.

I would just like to say thank you for a job well done by your team. Mark and Carmel worked so hard to ensure everyone had a good time, the catering was terrific and I have added a couple of kilo’s just to prove it. The scenery was spectacular and the campsites well chosen. Hot showers every night was a real bonus. It is hard to take in all that we saw. Once again many thanks. I can highly recommend your tour company to anyone.

Cheers and keep smiling.

As you are aware we have just finished a trip with your company. It was a fabulous trip which exceeded our expectations.
Thommo and Gools were exceptional guides. Their passion and knowledge of the Kimberly’s was great, and along with them always going the extra yard to make our trip as enjoyable and educational as possible. We loved the food and the campsites especially on the last night. You run a very slick operation which we couldn’t fault even if we wanted to. Our group all agreed that 15 people was ideal, and that 16 would have been 1 too many. We have already recommended a lady from Victoria who has signed up with you, and will be recommending you to others.
Thanks for a fabulous holiday.

As I send you this email I am reflecting on the past 4 weeks of my holiday and especially the 2 weeks I had on the trip with Thommo and Gools. All would agree that you certainly have 2 of the **MOST DEDICATED** guides in the business. Their attention to detail is second to none and are a great asset to your company. Just when one thought no more could come out of the trailer, there it was, a snack or more food or just **MORE**.
They were there to lend a helping hand in all circumstances to all on board. On the last night we had a little **what did you bring that may be completely useless, a lot of fun**. I wrote a poem as I thought the holiday went, the people and places. I read from a rough copy but would like to send you a proper copy so you can pass it on to the others.
ODE TO THOMMO AND GOOLS
OR THE CARNIVORES LAMENT
The night had passed and it was the day
To head north from Perth and Broome where I’d stay
On Friday the 8th in the early morn
The start of our trip brought forth a new dawn
My seat on the bus and a foot on the throttle
The first thing I noticed was my name on a bottle
We picked up the others at Cable Beach
The ride was not far and within easy reach
Our numbers were 15 from all parts of Australia
With this mix of people, the trip would not be a failure
We also had Kiwis and one German girl
On our trip which had started in the town of the pearl
The scenery was ancient and the stories abound
Told by the campfire like theatre in the round
This land that we care for, we should cherish at best
To pass on to our children and all of the rest
The food was amazing, rather unique
As one passed the campfire it required a peek
There was none of the drama of My Kitchen Rules
This was sheer dedication of Thommo and Gools
The walks in the gorges were not just a race
The fastest in front, others called their own pace
Gools took the lead and Thommo the rear
A helping hand guided you, it erased any fear
It’s been 4 days since El Questro but with no rest though
We pushed onto places old but so new
The big wheels kept turning and all of us yearning
To see landscape ever changing neath a clear sky of blue
The food got better and a cold beer even wetter
The meal of paella put a smile on this white fella
Gools had something special to be served very soon
It was time for dessert, apple crumble, grab your spoon
Each day around sunset Eggy put a cold beer down his throat
While some of us talked, by the light others wrote
With campfire burning brightly we’d sit round and chatter
Then someone would come serving dip and cheese platter.
The 12 days of adventure are nearly at an end
The roads many turns and just one more bend
I am sure and I hope, I speak for you all
The trip was fantastic; you could hear them all call
I will miss you small tent 3 for 2 nights my rest
To stand in one’s tent 9 nights, was simply the best
With sauce on your food either spicy or mild
The call of the Kimberley was Adventure Wild
I will now say a dew to you, you and you
These 12 days were amazing, to see roos hop and cattle grazing
The memories of our trip will forever last
Once we were strangers, but now that’s in the past
As we leave for the airport, fond memories abound
We have only taken photos and left imprints on the ground
We salute 2 special people who follow the rules
Of happiness and kindness, here’s to Thommo and Gools
