We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
A quick phone call to Rory and due to some gorges being closed and tours being done in reverse, we were lucky enough to be able to do the Gibb River 7 day section of this amazingly diverse area of Australia. We were booked in to the Triple J Ord River Cruise – well worth doing and met the group and guides – Phil and Liz in the Ivanhoe Van Park and headed off the next morning.
What can we say about this tour? Not sure if there are enough superlatives to cover how we felt. Our guides were skilled, informative, knowledgeable, great company and catered to our every need.
The scenery, commentary, the gorges, campsites, food, campfires and the company of a great group of intrepid travellers were all a bonus and far better than doing this trip on our own.
Which Gorge was the best? All of them, each unique – El Questro, Emma, Manning, Galvins, Adcock. Zebedee Springs was delightful. 146 river crossings thanks to a late wet.
The bonus of Derby and the Norval gallery was perfect for us.
And a magic Horizontal Falls Day Tour was the perfect end to this leg of our journey.
We thank you for this opportunity to travel with Adventure Wild, we appreciate all the last minute arranging and have no hesitation in recommending you to others, although this particular situation may not arise again.

Since learning about the Ord River scheme in high school and reading of the Bungle Bungles in the 80s, I’ve wanted to visit this vast landscape. The 12 night journey with Thommo and Gools was everything and more than I’d expected.
Huge, spectacular landscapes, crystal clear waters, rugged red gorges and vast waterways were just the beginning.
Expert guidance, knowledge, history, botany and ecology were provided by Thommo and Gools.
The food was a highlight – fresh plentiful salads prepared daily, scrumptious dinners after energetic days, surprises and treats at every turn. Way above every expectation.
A diverse group of travellers all enjoying the various aspects of Adventure Wild.
Unreservedly recommended.

Dear Simone,
We were on the 3 May trip through the Kimberley with Mark and Carmel Green.
We had a fabulous time.
The Kimberley itself needs no comment – what can one say- it is magnificent and unique. You provide a perfect route for a perfect place. We did the trip in reverse from your normal route. I’m not sure which would be the better way around- I don’t think it matters.
More important stuff though. I (Ant) am not a camper – never have been and never will, but I loved the trip. It was camping, but it was so much better than that. The tents were adequate, the swags comfortable and the facilities mostly acceptable.
What made the trip for me was the great guides. Mark and Carmel made us feel that everything was a pleasure and that everything was easy. They were charming, great fun, very funny, most accommodating, very knowledgeable (if they didn’t know their stuff they had us all completely fooled!!).
The evenings were wonderful. Sitting around the campfire being spoiled was the highlight of the trip for me – great settings, interesting conversations and fantastic food (often cooked over the coals).
To specifically answer your “Guest Satisfaction Survey”…….
Pre tour service – This was exceptional. Most professional. We were regularly updated and always knew well in advance what we were in for. Thanks for buying our drinks for us, and for organizing the horizontal falls. It helped enormously, and made for plain sailing.
Itinerary – As stated above, this can’t be bettered. We went to all the right places, and spent enough time at each one.
Meals – Great quality, quantity and variety. If anything, we were fed too much. I’m usually very disciplined when it comes to food, but (maybe it was the setting, who knows) I hoovered up anything and everything and went back for seconds!!
Campsites – The only one I found any fault with was the one at Manning Gorge. It was a bit grubby, and the power went off every evening by 8.00. There was also masses of thorns. I think I was the only one who felt that way though (remember I’m not a camper), but it was more than made up for by the Falls themselves and the wonderfultime we had at the site. I guess there’s nothing you can do about it – you have to stay there to see the falls.
Tour guides – Fantastic – see comments above. Thanks Mark and Carmel. There were also two apprentice guides on the tour – Chris and Jan Sanders. They were also great company and will make excellent guides.
Comfort generally – Hey, it’s camping. For what it was, the comfort was five star!
Hygiene – Not sure what you want to hear here. There were washing and bathing facilities everywhere, so the personal hygiene was fine. As far as the food etc went, Carmel did a superb job- how she kept the kitchen clean in all that dust is a miracle!
Other suggestions – Keep on doing things as you are. It was really awesome.
Regards,
Yvonne and Ant Dry

Hi Simone and team,
Just a few words to say, we had an awesome trip with Carmel and Mark our hosts, and 14 other like minded people. We all got on very well from the onset. Mark was so full of Kimberley knowledge, he was happy to share. Carmel’s cooking was really good! Campsite, tents etc very comfortable. Time around the fire after dinner was a perfect end to really amazing days of awesome scenery, walks, climbs, swims and spotting fauna and flora.
The whole trip from the booking to saying goodbye was so well organised.
Thank you all! Jeff and I will never forget the wonderful Kimberley experience.

Hi Simone,
We had a great time travelling with Carmel and Mark on this adventure tour. The organizing of our hosts was so excellent we sometimes wondered whether it would last the whole trip through. They were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. They also had wonderful tales to tell along the way and everybody laughed a lot. The happy hour times were great around a campfire and the meal produced in camp ovens yummy. We would also like to mention that we had great teamwork along the way. One thing that stands out for me (Agnes) that everybody helped to roll the swags for us “oldies” as we lacked the strength for this task. We even managed to get up at 5.30 am to begin the day and leave the sites by 7 am. I am still amazed to this day. Well that’s another ” bucket list” venture to cross off the list.
I wish we could have done this trip 10 or 20 years ago but we still had a great time doing it in our late seventies.
We recommend this trip highly.

Hi Simone
As the season nears its end, I thought it would be timely to congratulate you and your team on being such a fantastic tour group. From the first phone contact, we received top notch attention and personalised care. I would have no hesitation in recommending your team to all my friends and family.
Tour 18 was competently lead by Thommo and Gools. This team went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure everyone had a fantastic time and were able to enjoy the trip at whatever fitness level they chose. They both worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort and needs were met. Thommo has an in-depth knowledge of both the geography and its people that give us a wonderful insight to the Kimberleys. This reflected his passion for the region. Gools has the capacity to “whip up” all meals on a gas jet, in the middle of nowhere, with few kitchen comforts. They work so well as a team and that’s obviously the key to their success.
The trip had so many positives – tents permanently erected, flushing toilets and hot showers, provision for additional drinks, amazing scenery, last night private billabong campsite, the list goes on.
The trip was a once in a lifetime adventure and the photos we took will be a lifelong reminder of a fabulous time in our lives.
Hopefully you will have a rest during the “wet season” and be ready to meet the 2017 season with the same energy and commitment as 2016. The Tourism Awards that Adventure Wild has been awarded are a true testimony of your commitment to the tourism industy.
Thanks again.

Dear Simone,
I am a bit slow to comment on our experience with Adventure Wild but rest assured we have been recommending to our friends and family who are fit enough to put a trip of the Kimberley with Adventure Wild on their wish list.
Carmel and Mark are a great team who provided a memorable experience as well as being resourceful, helpful, kind, accommodating, great drivers, great cooks (best beer damper and amazing desert desserts) and demonstrating a range of other positive attributes to boot.
Our experience of the company was all positive from the time we first met Rory and Carl at the Lifestyle and Leisure show, to our online and phone dealings with Simone who helped us with bookings for the trip and ‘add-ons’ and the trip itself met or exceeded all our expectations.
Many thanks for providing the opportunity for us to see parts of our country that we might otherwise have missed.
On a personal note, I especially appreciated the effort that Carmel and Mark made so that we could visit the Yiyili community school and art gallery.
Regards

We would like to say that we have had the most wonderful holiday in the Kimberley, thanks to our very informative tour guides Carmel & Mark.
Adventure Wild you have the most amazing tour guides in Carmel & Mark, we have travelled all over the world and the two of them would be on top of our list. We had a great group that all came together and had so much fun.
The 12 day camping tour was everything we expected, the walks, the waterfalls, horse riding, the helicopter flight over the bungle bungles, sleeping under the stars, the food prepared by Carmel was plentiful, tasty and lots of variety, not forgetting the damper cooked by Mark, you will never go hungry. Sitting around the camp fire enjoying a drink or two and star gazing, very relaxing to finish up the day.
Would highly recommend Adventure Wild and our unforgettable tour guides Carmel & Mark.!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Simone
Just wanted to let you know we had a wonderful trip, spectacular scenery, the company was great, and cannot praise Liz and Phil enough. Went out of their way to make the trip enjoyable for all.
As you know on one of the walks, my husband John had a fall, and badly gashed his eye. PHIL and Liz took command, giving first aid to John, but also ensuring those in our group were looked after as well. Phil took John and I to Kununurra Hospital, and looked after us, including feeding and watering.
Thank you Phil and Liz.
Once again thank you for a great experience.

How does one describe an adventure that takes you to places that leaves you speechless? Mark Twain wrote of Mauritius as having been made first and heaven created after. How would he describe this trip?
I wondered why someone, 200 years ago, with a mule, horse or foot alone would go to places that are Raw, Rugged, Harsh and overwhelming. Find places that are an oasis in a land so unforgiving. I am grateful they did and “Adventure Wild” took me there and showed me places that no documentary or cinematography can ever capture.
Liz and Phil, our guides brought me to places that I have seen countless pictures of, heard many a story, but when I experienced this beauty of our land, it took on a vastly greater significance. The ad using the phrase, “you’ll never ever know, if you don’t go” explodes into superfluity.
I now have a memory embedded in me, indebted to “Adventure Wild”.
Thank you; Liz, Phil, Simone and Carl.
