We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Touring The Kimberley with Phil & Liz was like staying with very hospitable, old friends. It’s just that their “home” is a mobile one in an incredible bush setting which keeps changing.
We enjoyed a great sample of fascinating and varied Kimberley highlights. (You’d need 3 months to see everything.)
I especially liked Adventure Wild’s roomy pre-erected tents and the two-night stays in most places, the excellent food, the comfortable vehicle and the pleasant company.
Heartily recommend.
Simone,
Words cannot express how much I enjoyed my trip.
I have travelled a lot in the last decade but never a camping tour. On arrival in Broome, I wondered what I had let myself in for. On day one we were picked up early by your wonderful team, Mark & Carmel. The progressive pick ups showed the rest of the passengers on my tour were predominately female, of similar age and I thought if they can do it, so can I. Suffice to say they had more experience than I. Wonderful travelling companions, caring for each other during the tour, making it even more enjoyable.
The scenery was spectacular, I have never seen any thing as magical.
There were times, some walks were beyond my & others physical capacity. The diplomatic duo, allowed us the decision to say yes or no. An alternative was offered, which was always enjoyable.
Highlights:
- Special – Pigeon Hole look out.
- Extra Special – Flight from El Questro. Helicopter over Bungle Bungle, then walking through these ancient landscapes.
My accolades go to Mark & Carmel Green, their commitment to Adventure Wild, the people in their care, their organisational skills, energy levels, nothing was beyond their capacity. I enjoyed their wonderful sense of humor and devotion to each other. Words cannot express my appreciation. If there is an award offered in W.A. Tourism for outstanding guides, they should be nominated.
Simone there is not just a smile on my face but, one in my heart as well.
THANK YOU

Dear Simone,
Where do I start!!!
Such a wonderful trip!!!
There were some challenges along the way but everyone worked to the best of their ability.
Carmel and Mark are to be admired for all the effort which went in to making everything possible so that we achieved and enjoyed as much as we were able..
Tunnel Creek was awesome and every place had something special. Windjana Gorge, Galvan Gorge, El Questro Pigeon Hole twilight, Moonshine Gorge, The Bungles and the walks there, camping beside the billabong, Danggu Gorge cruise are just a few. We almost swam our way around the Kimberley.
Meals were nutritious and delicious and generous portions. Always snacks, drinks, fruit and cool water for everyone.
The library of books were very useful and interesting.
Carmel and Mark provided information about the places we were travelling through.
Customer service was excellent and prompt.
You have an excellent product.
Thank you all
Best wishes
Hi Simone and Karl
I just want to say how much I enjoyed my recent visit to the Kimberley. What an unbelievable and uplifting experience!! From day 1 to day 12 and everything in between it was just one amazing adventure after another. The scenery was breathtaking, the campsites were ideally located and set out, the quality and variety of meals was second to none and of course our guides Carmel and Mark were just superb!!! If the rest of your tour guides are half as good as these two then you’re definitely on a winner! They were very knowledgeable, thoughtful and helpful in every aspect of their work. I could not fault any part of the tour.. even the sometimes very basic toilet amenities were as much as one could expect in such a remote part of the country, and the more “modern” amenities were a little bonus!
I honestly would find it almost impossible to pick a “highlight” of the tour, as just when I thought I’d seen it all something even more spectacular was just around the corner! The Bungle Bungles and Echidna Chasm rate very high on the list of dozens of beautiful destinations, and don’t get me started on the incredible bird life around the area. I have some friends who have been thinking of visiting the Kimberley and I will certainly recommend this tour to them.
Once again thank you all so much for helping me create some wonderful and everlasting memories. I must also mention my fellow tour “mates” who were just a fantastic group of people from different walks of life, who, like me, gave their all to participate in every activity available to them even when faced with some setbacks.
Truly an experience of a lifetime!
Kindest regards

Linda and I completed a 7 day tour from Broome to Kununurra with Phil and Liz on Tour 34 and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
We had wondered previously if we could navigate our way through the Kimberleys as free agents like so many others choose to do. However, having been with Phil and Liz, drawing on their knowledge and experience of the Kimberleys and of the whole experience, there is no way we could have achieved anything like we did with our knowledgable and caring guides.
Making the tour with Adventure Wild enabled us to experience, not only the wonders of the Kimberleys, but also to meet like minded people and to share many enjoyable social gatherings and experiences. Travelling with other people broadens the experience as discussions about all kinds of subjects from photography to natural wonders to lifes experiences to snoring and sleeping habits to cuisine management and co-operation and teamwork and family histories, etc. There is more to it than meets the eyes and only upon reflection do we realise we have been changed or challenged to look at life a little differently from now on.
Special thanks to Phil and Liz who not only guided and informed us along the way but also protected and cared for us so well, making us all feel loved and wanted in spite of our short comings and disabilities. You have left your mark on each one of us.

The highlights of the tour for me have been just being part of a group of diverse caring people of all abilities who have come together to enjoy our wonderful Kimberley Region of Australia. It has been an awesome experience.
My being able to actually walk in and out of the different places and enjoy what our wonderful supporting and flexible tour leaders, Carmel and Mark shared with us. I started off with broken ribs but managed as well as I was able, then unfortunately developed a strep throat, thank you John for the antibiotics without them I may not have avoided hospital in Kununurra. Thank you to you all for your support and assistance throughout the past 12 days. I apologise for not being able to do more of my share of the chores and swag rolling!
I have enjoyed every day, I have lasting memories of every place we visited, every experience we had, too many to highlight any one. We had lots of laughs and sharing .
My disappointment was not being able to join the cruise, do a helicopter flight and missing some of the walks due to my disability.
Thank you one and all for your delightful companionship and I wish you well in all that you do in the future.
Thank you Carmel and Mark, Tour Leaders extraordinaire! with you and your knowledge and love of the Kimberley Region our expectations have certainly been surpassed!
I invite you all to the magnificent Upper Murray to experience a different part of our amazing Country.
ADVENTURE WILD KIMBERLEY TOURS
My wife and I could not be more grateful to Adventure Wild for the 12 day Broome to Broome tour we shared with 15 others, including hosts Mark and Carmel, in June 2017.
We are very cost conscious and carefully chose this trip as being the best ‘value for money’ we could find. In hindsight we are certain it was.
How wonderful to be carried along with every day and highlight perfectly planned. Our hosts were marvellous – helpful, courteous, caring, fair, friendly and fun. The meals they prepared were all healthy and varied.
Travelling was easy with conservative, safe driving and with stops every day for lunches and morning and afternoon teas, always at interesting places. Campsites and evening drinks (in moderation) by campfires were fantastic.
Being 75 and my wife 72, both of us in ‘reasonable/average’ health and condition for our ages, we were initially a little anxious about our physical ability to ‘keep up’. In the end we missed only one of 11 testing walks, let’s say due to our age. Most days were long but well worth it.
Advice we received about optional extras was excellent. We chose only the Ord River 55km. boat trip and the Bungles 40min. chopper ride. Both were excellent value (for the Kimberley) and in our opinion each was a ‘must do’.
In hindsight, this was our ‘number one’ trip of a lifetime (having travelled overseas 3 times and most of Australia).
Thank you to Adventure Wild.
I would be more than happy to discuss our experience with any prospective Adventure Wild guest.
Hi Simone and Karl,
I just wanted to thank everybody involved with Adventure Wild for an absolutely wonderful holiday incredibly well organised from start to finish.
It was fun to set up our own tents on the first night but great to have the permanent tents for the remainder and the two night stays added to the relaxed feeling.
I was very happy with all the campsites each having its own special attraction.
Mark and Carmel were superb guides, always professional, knowledgeable, helpful and a lot of fun.
I was in awe of Carmels ability to create such varied healthy and delicious meals in a camp conditions, not to mention Marks skills with his magic camp oven pot that produced an array of sweet and savoury foods from roast chicken, vegetables, apple crumble and of course damper.
As for the places we visited, they were simply breathtaking, nothing compares to the rugged beauty of the Kimberley. It is so hard to pick a favourite, not sure if it was the sunsetting at Windjana Gorge, lighting up the cliff as if it was on fire and then in the early morning the fresh water crocs sunbaking in the perfect stillness, such a magical place. Or maybe one of the many other gorges with their refreshing swimming holes, or the amazing trips down the Ord river and Fitzroy river, or even just seeing so many Boab trees all with such personalities.
I loved it all and would happily recommend Adventure Wild to anyone considering a trip to the Kimberley.

Friends recommended your tour to me and from the moment I contacted Adventure Wild I received all the help and information I needed, not to mention that this was immediate! So I had a good idea of how things worked before I even started.
The pace of the tour was excellent – really efficient without any actual pressure. And time to relax. I did not quite realise that this was a gorge-walk and swim tour at heart and am very pleased that this was so. It was very hot (for me, from Canberra) and this was also handled sensibly by Phil and Liz and the group – always ready early with no fuss. The group was also really great and gave great support to Phil and Liz and it was good to be part of this.
Liz and Phil are excellent – the best driver/guide team I have known as far as engaging with us all is concerned. They have endless patience, are extremely tolerant, they treat everyone equitably, they trust everyone to get things done and create a cooperative environment whereby everyone hops in and works out what to do to get the camp set up and closed down and fed, washed up etc. Their attitude ensures that this happens magically. And Phil is an excellent driver and walk-leader/pacer etc. And Liz sits with the group on the bus and keep everyone informed and happy. I don’t know how they do it really but am very impressed.
Well, this one was pretty comfortable. The tents and swags work well and were comfortable for me. So, although people seemed to have many bright ideas in this area, my idea is that you have worked it out and are the experts with experience so it’s fine by me. The fruit in the bus is an excellent idea – that adds to the comfort really.
Make sure you keep Liz and Phil for as long as you can! This was a great trip – also, I really enjoyed the optional extras, for me, this was especially the flight over the NE coast line and the visit to the Kalumburu Mission – fascinating. I enjoyed the visit to the women’s art centre too but particularly the mission – I have been to several and really enjoy seeing and experiencing some of that history.
Overall, thanks very much for a great experience.

Good morning Simone
Thank you for this information and the whole trip was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The pre tour service was very friendly and efficient and the information about the trip contains vital details that enabled me to be realistically prepared.
I am also grateful for the way my luggage was managed everything was waiting for me at agreed points as promised.
The itinerary included all the places that I wanted to see and more. While the pace was steady I never felt rushed and could enjoy the moments. I loved staying 2 nights in most places as that helped me to relax into the wonderful surroundings.
Carmel and Mark are very organised and gave clear instructions all along the way so I felt I was always adequately prepared for the event.
The meals were delicious with plenty of variety and best of all for me was the nutritious salads and vegetables on offer. This takes very smart planning in isolated outback country. Top marks to Carmel. I am in awe of her energy and positive attitude towards making every meal into a feast even after or during long trips and hard walks. She was very well supported by Mark too. He has his specialties like his iron pot treats on the camp fire .
Campsites were on the whole better than expected with a couple of standouts. The set up tents are really good and I had plenty of rest and comfort on my swag. Carmel and Mark were always on hand to help me roll mine. I was rubbish at that and they cheerfully did it so as not to make me feel completely useless.
The tour guides were fantastic I cannot praise them enough. They are knowledgeable, energetic very organised and I felt safe and in excellent hands at all times. They work extremely hard to ensure that everyone is enjoying the tour to the best of their ability. They also had some wonderful treats planned like champagne pre dinner drinks to watch the sunset over looking the Pentecost River.
They were very clear on making sure that the group understood the level of difficulty of each walk without putting contenders off.
Comfort generally was good especially the areas that could be controlled. It is camping and every effort is made to do it well.
I liked my sleeping arrangement and the chairs around the campfire were comfortable for me. The bus being air-conditioned was great as otherwise it would have been too hot.
Hygiene was well maintained and everyone completed the trip without any bugs. I am on the fussy side of normal and I was more than comfortable with everything from food storage, preparation, serving and the cleanup. Well done all.
Thank you again and I will certainly be recommending Adventure Wild to my friends and relatives with a strong urge for them to do it while they are fit and able.
I wish you every success and hope your service to the Kimberly continues.
Kind regards
