We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
What a superb way to see the Kimberly. The 12 days seemed ideal; we saw so much yet we didn’t feel rushed. There were so many highlights but the helicopter ride over the Bungle Bungles is something we will never forget.
Our guides ( Thommo and Gools) were exceptional. They worked tirelessly from early morning to late at night to ensure we all had a wonderful trip. The meals exceeded expectations – Gools is a fantastic chef and visiting a different country each night added the perfect touch. Cannot speak highly enough of them – they make a great team.
I highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see this unique part of our country and it is a place that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
To Simone & Karl,

Your responses, you are on the ball, people like yourselves are the ones l enjoy working for.
The seat swap is a great idea, much easier to meet everyone.
One felt very safe as a passenger with either driving.
And ‘yes’ l will be recommending your company, how could one not!
Thanks for many wonderful memories!
Our guides Gools and Thommo were 10 + in every way. Ultimate professionalism, knowledge and totally respectful of everyones needs. Their organisation skills were impeccable so that every minute of the day was utilized to maximise the ultimate Kimberley experience. Their culinary skills, such as dinner each night visiting different countries, was wonderful and fun.
Optional tours, they gave us their opinion, which the whole group took on board, and all were just marvellous. It was just the best tour.
Thanks Gools and Thommo. Will definitely recommend Adventure Wild and the best guides.
Also the added stop at Home Valley was great and also Ellenbrae Station – Best scones.
Well done and thankyou.
One couldn’t ask for a better way to see the stunning Kimberley than to go with Adventure Wild.
Full marks to our tour leaders Liz and Phil who were unfailingly cheerful and friendly, well informed, reliable and efficient. Very caring of their flock and clear about procedure, they were great cooks into the bargain!
The camping experience was most enjoyable with luxury tents, comfortable swag and, each night, a blazing campfire.
The bus, with its accompanying trailer replete with natty storage system, was also comfortable and well driven over difficult roads.
What else can I say – a first class 12 day experience which I’d like to repeat.
Rating 5/5
Simone,
I had the most incredible time exploring the Kimberley with our amazing group led by Mark and Carmel. I came to WA from the USA to experience the “real outback”. The trip met and exceeded all my expectations! The quality and variety of the food was amazing. The twelve day trip seemed to fly by with one “WOW” moment after another. From desert landscape to tropical oasis, I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the Kimberley region.
Mark and Carmel were absolutely fantastic. Their knowledge and passion of the area was displayed daily as they answered all our many questions. They are an incredible team and set the positive vibe for the entire trip.
Many thanks for the trip of a lifetime!
The itinerary was excellent, more than we had anticipated doing. Nothing too hard, we weren’t rushed or pushed & felt safe at all times. Mark & Carmel were very supportive making sure we were not taken out of our comfort zones, they were terrific & very professional with a good knowledge of the area & the history. They genuinely love the Kimberley’s. They always made sure we were happy & comfortable, just a great pair of easy going, hard working Aussies. Loved them.
The meals were of a very high standard. Amazing what can be cooked with a camp kitchen & camp-oven. Especially the deserts & damper (with jam & cream). Lunches were always amazing,
We would like to thankyou all, we totally enjoyed ourselves, it all went too quick. It will be something we will always remember.
Fun, laughter & great friendships made over the 12 days we had together.
Thanks again,
What a wonderful experience! Our guides and drivers, Gools and Thommo did a fantastic job of caring for us and sharing their many years experience in the Kimberley.
There were too many highlights to mention but I particularly enjoyed the gorge walks and swimming in beautiful waterholes. The Bungle Bungles was another highlight and the ability to add on helicopter and other flights was a bonus.
Gools’ cooking skills were fabulous and both Thommo and Gools kept everything running smoothly and with ease.
We came across a number of other tour groups during our trip and were so pleased we chose Adventure Wild. No one else seemed to be having near as much fun as us.
A big thank you to Gools and Thommo for making our trip so memorable.
Hi Simone and Karl,
We have just returned from our Broome to Broome Kimberley tour with Mark and Carmel… in a word “Wow”….Right from our pick up from the Mecure on our first morning we knew we had made the right choice to travel with Adventure Wild, our hosts greeted us with beaming smiles and a genuine enthusiasm which proved to be infectious, as each of the guests were picked up the same enthusiasm was extended, what an awesome team.
Mark and Carmel’s ability to include each of the guests with the same happy and gracious air, having everyone feel special and gaining our confidence as we travelled.
Marks vehicle skills were a joy to see, especially on the Gibb River Road, he seemed to find the smoothest part of the road helping to keep us comfortable and no doubt saving the vehicles.
Carmel’s great and interesting commentary, together with her ability to create fantastic meals from the trailer…helped us enjoy this incredible journey.
We were blown away to find on the first night our swags had been made up, all we had to do was roll them out. For those of us who had never slept in swags this gave us a flying start, their tuition on the rolling up of the swags gave us a real appreciation of their kindness and understanding.
The places we were taken were just about mind blowing, places we certainly wouldn’t drive our own car. Some of the roads had to be seen to be believed, corrigations that were likely to shake the teeth from a China dog yet we travelled in relative comfort in the bus.
Having completed this incredible journey and been taken to the best highlights of the Kimberley, such as Windjana Gorge, Galvin’s Gorge, stopping at Dog Chain Creek, lunching on the banks of the Durack River, camping at Home Valley Station champagne & nibbles @ Pidgeon Holes and El Questro, flying out to the Mitchell Plateau and falls, walking and flying over the Bungle Bungles all destinations dreams are made of.
Our special thanks also must be given to yourselves Karl and Simone for the care taken, and encouragement to help us negotiate the intricacies of bookings and other arrangements that made our journey something special.
Once again we would like to take this opportunity thank Mark and Carmel for a most special experience and taking extra care of Joy when she was unwell for a few days.
With kindest regards
What a wonderful trip. The scenery, wildlife, countryside was a treat to see. The company on the trip was very friendly and our hosts/guides/drivers were exceptional, a great big thank you to Liz and Phil for their very caring attention, we could not have been looked after better. We would certainly recommend your trip to any potential travellers.
A very big thank you
We recently returned from our Kimberley Adventure with Mark and Carmel, and it’s difficult to find enough superlatives to describe the experience. The pre-trip information from Simone and Karl was comprehensive and much appreciated. Thank you – we felt fully prepared.
The pace of the tour was perfect, even for those of us who’ve reached the 70 year milestone. Catering was beyond expectations and I’m still raving about Mark’s camp oven chocolate pudding! The fact that he and Carmel could maintain the standard and variety of food for 12 days is testament to their commitment to the job.
They were not just “tour guides”. They felt like travelling companions and confidantes who displayed a caring presence at all times. They had the knack of noticing when some of us faltered a little on the more strenuous hikes. For the 12 days their energy was boundless.
From start to finish the itinerary was perfect. Mark’s humorous “tomorrow-tonight” sessions around the campfire were great fun, and ensured we were all well prepared for the next day’s activities.
Some campsites at first seemed quite rural and basic to us coastal dwellers, but all turned out to be one of the positive experiences of the tour. There was great camaraderie among the group, as we shared the chores to ensure everything stayed on track.
Every day there were highlights to enjoy and remember. We are so glad we chose “Adventure Wild” to experience the Kimberleys while still fit enough to fully appreciate its rugged, majestic landscapes.
A very sincere thank you
