We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
We echo the words of Richard & Sue, that Carmel and Mark were great hosts on a truly educational tour along with a great group of nice people.
Carmel & Mark were always helpful, understanding, great catering and cooking, and we had a few ‘interesting’ times. 🙂
This tour was one ‘bucket list’ winner we will always remember fondly. From the cruises (four), the hour helicopter ride over the Bungles, the many swims and treks into the gorges that were ever changing, great meals, an odd drink and long talks around the camp fire
We certainly recommend this trip as a must do to all ages.

We have just returned from our Kimberley holiday. We had a wonderful time with an excellent group of people. Mark and Carmel were outstanding tour leaders, knowledgeable, capable, efficient, helpful and friendly. They were prepared to make every effort to ensure that everyone enjoyed their holiday and added a number of special features to the advertised itinerary that greatly enhanced our experience.
The food was extremely good and campsites were excellent and well situated to enable us to get the most out of the trip.
We would recommend Adventure Wild to anyone looking for a holiday in the Kimberley.

This is the trip of a lifetime and should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The Kimberley country is truly awesome in the true sense of the word.
Adventure Wild is a thoroughly professional company and everything was above our expectations.
Our guides Mark and Carmel were fantastic. Their passion for the Kimberley, the care they showed for not only our group but also for the environment, and their tireless efforts to make the trip run smoothly for everyone was amazing. Their organisation of the trip was faultless. All this plus their stories, jokes, fun and all the little extra side trips they threw in, made for a wonderful experience.
The very clever kitchen trailer is the envy of all who see it, and Carmel and Mark churned out the most delicious meals.
So much more could be said but will end by saying the camaraderie of the whole group was wonderful.
Do the trip if you can.

Hi Simone and Karl
Mark and Carmel were amazing and I am sure their friendly personalities brought the group together instantly. The group became friends and we supported and laughed with, and at each other, all throughout the 12 days. We even had music at campfires and the singing and guitar playing in Cathedral Gorge was very beautiful and emotional.
Whilst in Melbourne we met up for breakfast with Janet from Melbourne and recalled our trip with lots of laughs and great memories.
I didn’t really know what to expect of the Kimberley and the tour.
However,
- With the magnificent colours of the ranges, gorges, waterfalls, creeks, vegetation, ancient Aboriginal Rock Art, animal life, flying over the Bungle Bungles etc.
- Mark and Carmel’s professional and friendly manner and wonderful sense of humour.
- Everyone on the trips willingness to help each other and we genuinely enjoyed each other’s company.
- Adventure Wild’s organisation from beginning to end is first rate.
I hope we can take our grandkids on a trip like this is a couple of years so they can see and experience their own country’s amazing Kimberley.
Wow – what a trip we had. Wonderful memories for sure.
Simone and Karl you have a wonderful business that gives people like us a fantastic experience.
Good Luck and many thanks.

As Vangie and I sit in freezing cold weather, here in Bunbury, we remember fondly those balmy days and nights in the Kimberley. We certainly were blessed by good weather, wonderful fellow guests & companions, and great leaders and guides. Not only were we tremendously blessed by Phil and Liz, but we also had Rory (the boss) with us sharing his tremendous knowledge and experience, together with his twanging guitar and vocals around the campfire.
Thanks, Liz, for your yummy vegetarian food (supplemented by Rory’s spicy Chucka Lucka). Your sensitivity in finding that cute little ‘hot water bottle’ for my painful neck/shoulder was really appreciated. Kevin reminded me yesterday about it …calling me “The Hunchback of Notre Kimberley”. Phil’s company and great patience with us was also much appreciated. You guys are a great team and work so calmly and well together, even when under great pressure. We ALL are under no doubts that you will continue to be outstandingly successful in showing this wonderful country of ours to many other delighted guests. So, from all the Bunbury Mob …David&Vangie, Rob,&Joy (she of the well healed nose), Kevin&Precy …thanks, and May God bless you both abundantly as a couple, and as leaders with Adventure Wild.

Hi All,
After a few zip-free nights sleep, unpacking and generally getting back into the swing of things of our “normal” life we have downloaded our photos. This has brought back some good memories and has us reflecting back on an wonderful, busy and laughter filled holiday.
Thanks to all of you for gelling in and making it a trip that we will all remember for a long time.
Hats off to Mark and Carmel for their tireless efforts in steering The Best Crew Ever (So Far!!) around that rugged, amazing countryside.
So to Mark & Carmel, Bryan, Trevor, Dave & Julie, Janet, Ray & Gwenda, Pete & Gen and the adorable Jim & Eileen, we hope to meet again one day and we wish you the best for the future.
Take care,
PS We have attached a copy of OUR song
THE BEST – “SO FAR” words by Wayne Isaac
Verse 1
Heading down Gibb River Road, past the boab trees
Heard this song whispering on the gentle blowing breeze
With Mark & Carmel up the front, weather’s pretty mild
The trip of a lifetime, with Adventure Wild.
Chorus
And we roll the swags up in the morning
Campfires at night
Swimming holes and crocodiles
It was all part of the life
And we had some fun
Yeah we sure had fun
Verse 2
Half the crew on the bus, they came from the west
There’s a rumour going round that we are the best
So hello there my friends, you’re on the road here just like me
Why don’t we stop and rest a while, Brian’ll boil a pot of tea
Chorus
Verse 3
Drinking beer one starry night, sitting by the fire
Eileen said to Jim, you look like a punctured tyre
Bandaids on his fingers, bandaids on his toes
Cuts and scratches everywhere, except on his nose
Chorus
Verse 4
What about Emma Gorge, one of the delights
Mark he had to do it twice, forgot to turn off the lights
Trev stayed back around the pool, had coffee and Dave’s cake
The rest of us stumbled over rocks and even saw a snake
How about the rugged land and river crossings we have done
Seen heaps of birds, trees and things and watched the setting sun
Now it’s time to say goodbye, we couldn’t ask for more
But someone please tell me, who had the loudest snore?
Fun and laughter everyday, one of our best trips
We’ll miss you all, we wish you well
And there’s no more bloody zips!!!
Chorus x 2

What a great, unforgettable tour with our wonderful crew of Mark and Carmel incharge. The professionalism was superb despite the inclement weather at the start and a great time was had by all.
The meals were delicious and Carmel was so organised that a delay of a few days didn’t faze her, or if it did she didn’t show it!!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the trip to anyone that wants to see this beautiful part of the country.
Thanks you Mark and Carmel for such a great trip.

Dear Simone and Karl,
Thank you so much for the opportunity to join this tour, we had an amazing 12 days. On the last day, I wrote this little poem for our group about our trip and Gools thought you might get a kick out of it. We will certainly be recommending Adventure Wild to anyone interested in a Kimberley adventure.
For Gools and Thommo.
I knew right away we were in for a treat.
When we were picked up by the truck in Louis St
Simone said “bring plenty of beer, at least a carton or 2,
It won’t go astray on this trip, I can assure you”.
We wanted to see all the famous Kimberley sites
Starting with the Prison Boab & the mounds of termites,
Then onto The Gibb, with its waterfalls and pools,
The excitement was just starting, with Thomo & Gools.
Our group had Royce, Merlin, Elaine & Frank,
When Crystal saw us oldies, her heart must have sank,
Joe & Suzette, Stephen and Bob,
Keeping us led, fed & in bed was going to be quite a job.
But Thommo & Gools were up to the task,
We found ourselves willing to do whatever they asked,
Pitching tents, washing dishes, and rolling swags,
Helping make & break camp and packing away bags.
Gools had everything packed, stacked and wrapped in plastic,
Her skill in the kitchen was nothing short of fantastic,
Thommo told his stories which he vowed were true,
We hung on every word, fact or fiction, we hadn’t a clue.
For us, without doubt, it’s been the best trip yet,
Those Friendships formed here will last a lifetime, I bet
Adventure Wild is lucky to have you both, a rare treasure
Thankyou Gools & Thomo for giving us 12 days of absolute pleasure.

I have just had trip with Carmel and Mark which cannot be described as fabulous….it is beyond words, beyond my expectations!
I think you have got the pace and the meals honed to perfection, and the campsites were what I expected. Compare that with the ‘perfect’ site at the cattle station in Fitzroy Crossing.
You probably know already, but I want to add my voice to the praise of Carmel and Mark. Their wonderful mix of warmth, humanity and humor wound a bond around our ‘crew’.
I am so glad that I chose Adventure Wild to take me to the Kimberleys.
Thank – you
