We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
We had a fantastic trip to the Kimberley recently…so much better than I expected as it had been such a long time since we’d been camping. Liz and Phil were fantastic leaders and guides. Their calm way of getting on with it, together with a great sense of humour, helped to make our trip so carefree and fun. Their unflagging energy was astounding, and the way Liz managed to feed 18 people with various dietary needs every night with such ease was nothing short of an accomplishment. Liz and Phil are passionate and enthusiastic about Australia, the outback and the Kimberley, and were very generous in sharing their experience and knowledge with us. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

Hi Simone,
Recently finished a fantastic Broome to Broome trip with Mark and Carmel.
Have to say it was everything I expected and more.
Was initially tentative about being on a bus with a big group (first time on organised tour) however it was a lot of fun and the group dynamics expertly handled by our tour team.
Thanks again for such a wonderful introduction to the Kimberley region. It was truly memorable and I would love to return to WA soon.
Regards

If anyone’s thinking of travelling the Gibb River Road, save your own car by doing the trip with Gools and Thommo and Adventure Wild.
You don’t have to worry about a thing – sit back and enjoy.
Their knowledge of the Kimberley is excellent. The itinerary was flexible, the tents were comfortable and the food was unbelievable. Gools and Thommo know how to handle a crowd – they are personable and work well as a team. They set up an easy to manage routine, the vehicle was well kept and the kitchen and hygiene were outstanding. Can’t say enough about how good it was.
Adventure Wild came highly recommended by well travelled friends and we’ll be recommending Adventure Wild and Thommo and Gools without hesitation.

We echo the words of Richard & Sue, that Carmel and Mark were great hosts on a truly educational tour along with a great group of nice people.
Carmel & Mark were always helpful, understanding, great catering and cooking, and we had a few ‘interesting’ times. 🙂
This tour was one ‘bucket list’ winner we will always remember fondly. From the cruises (four), the hour helicopter ride over the Bungles, the many swims and treks into the gorges that were ever changing, great meals, an odd drink and long talks around the camp fire
We certainly recommend this trip as a must do to all ages.

We have just returned from our Kimberley holiday. We had a wonderful time with an excellent group of people. Mark and Carmel were outstanding tour leaders, knowledgeable, capable, efficient, helpful and friendly. They were prepared to make every effort to ensure that everyone enjoyed their holiday and added a number of special features to the advertised itinerary that greatly enhanced our experience.
The food was extremely good and campsites were excellent and well situated to enable us to get the most out of the trip.
We would recommend Adventure Wild to anyone looking for a holiday in the Kimberley.

This is the trip of a lifetime and should be on everyone’s bucket list.
The Kimberley country is truly awesome in the true sense of the word.
Adventure Wild is a thoroughly professional company and everything was above our expectations.
Our guides Mark and Carmel were fantastic. Their passion for the Kimberley, the care they showed for not only our group but also for the environment, and their tireless efforts to make the trip run smoothly for everyone was amazing. Their organisation of the trip was faultless. All this plus their stories, jokes, fun and all the little extra side trips they threw in, made for a wonderful experience.
The very clever kitchen trailer is the envy of all who see it, and Carmel and Mark churned out the most delicious meals.
So much more could be said but will end by saying the camaraderie of the whole group was wonderful.
Do the trip if you can.

Hi Simone and Karl
Mark and Carmel were amazing and I am sure their friendly personalities brought the group together instantly. The group became friends and we supported and laughed with, and at each other, all throughout the 12 days. We even had music at campfires and the singing and guitar playing in Cathedral Gorge was very beautiful and emotional.
Whilst in Melbourne we met up for breakfast with Janet from Melbourne and recalled our trip with lots of laughs and great memories.
I didn’t really know what to expect of the Kimberley and the tour.
However,
- With the magnificent colours of the ranges, gorges, waterfalls, creeks, vegetation, ancient Aboriginal Rock Art, animal life, flying over the Bungle Bungles etc.
- Mark and Carmel’s professional and friendly manner and wonderful sense of humour.
- Everyone on the trips willingness to help each other and we genuinely enjoyed each other’s company.
- Adventure Wild’s organisation from beginning to end is first rate.
I hope we can take our grandkids on a trip like this is a couple of years so they can see and experience their own country’s amazing Kimberley.
Wow – what a trip we had. Wonderful memories for sure.
Simone and Karl you have a wonderful business that gives people like us a fantastic experience.
Good Luck and many thanks.

As Vangie and I sit in freezing cold weather, here in Bunbury, we remember fondly those balmy days and nights in the Kimberley. We certainly were blessed by good weather, wonderful fellow guests & companions, and great leaders and guides. Not only were we tremendously blessed by Phil and Liz, but we also had Rory (the boss) with us sharing his tremendous knowledge and experience, together with his twanging guitar and vocals around the campfire.
Thanks, Liz, for your yummy vegetarian food (supplemented by Rory’s spicy Chucka Lucka). Your sensitivity in finding that cute little ‘hot water bottle’ for my painful neck/shoulder was really appreciated. Kevin reminded me yesterday about it …calling me “The Hunchback of Notre Kimberley”. Phil’s company and great patience with us was also much appreciated. You guys are a great team and work so calmly and well together, even when under great pressure. We ALL are under no doubts that you will continue to be outstandingly successful in showing this wonderful country of ours to many other delighted guests. So, from all the Bunbury Mob …David&Vangie, Rob,&Joy (she of the well healed nose), Kevin&Precy …thanks, and May God bless you both abundantly as a couple, and as leaders with Adventure Wild.
