We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood

Trev and I really did enjoy the experience of the Kimberley. We have a heap of wonderful memories. Loved the tour group too; a good bunch. I even have a date to meet up with one of the girls in the next few days – a new friend, always a good sign of a great time had. Corf and Adey are the main people that made our trip so great.

It is two months since our Kimberley Adventure with Tommo and Gools and we’re still constantly thinking about all the wonderful things we saw and did. What an adventure! It was way beyond our expectations. Every day was different and exciting with extraordinary scenery and varied activities. It was made even better by the excellent organisation of our experienced and knowledgeable guides. They were very thoughtful to everyone’s needs and bonded our wonderful group together.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone with even a mild sense of adventure. You’ll love it.

I had a wonderful time and I will have brilliant memories of the ancient landscapes, the deep darkness of the starry nights, swimming in pools under lovely waterfalls and lots of fun with the people who shared this wonderful experience. Be assured that I will recommend AW to anyone who is interested in a trip to the Kimberley. Again many thanks,

Victor and I would like to express our appreciation to Thommo and Gools for allowing us to experience the amazing Kimberley region in the best possible way. They are so passionate and knowledgeable about the locality it made our trip so enjoyable in every way. They run the tour like a well-oiled machine with healthy meals prepared daily and walks in those majestic gorges organised with little snacks to eat on the way. Firewood was readily gathered for the nightly campfires for us to relax around at the end of a busy and eventful day. Pre-dinner drinks were always accompanied with nibbles while our guides prepared the delicious food for us. Stories were exchanged amid laughter around these warm and friendly fires.
Our tour ratio of men and women slightly leant towards the female side. The women out numbered the men 12 to 4 but that was fine as we all pitched in helping each other with the daily chores. We caught up with three of the girls on our last night in Broome and hope to meet again somewhere in the future. Thank you Simone for the email addresses enabling us to exchange photos taken of each other.
The scenery of the Kimberley region is like no other we have ever seen. It reminds us of a lost world. It is so peaceful exploring those gorges and swimming in the hidden water holes. We are also more knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area thanks to Thommo and Gools. They made sure they answered all our questions and those they didn’t know, they researched for an answer.
Congratulations to both drivers as they manoeuvred that truck and trailer through often very rough terrain without a hitch.
I could write pages on this holiday but will conclude by saying a huge thank you again for sharing this wonderfully remote area of Australia with us. As inexperienced campers we found the involvement in this way of holidaying extremely enjoyable. Thank heavens our numerous photos will preserve our memories.
We will recommend Adventure Wild Kimberley tours to anyone thinking of a Kimberley holiday and especially our guides Thommo and Gools. They deserve a well-earned break over the summer.

I am now back home from my Kimberley tour with your Company and am beginning to digest the experience. Thank you for all the work you and your team put in to plan and organise these tours. Greg and Choccy looked after us very capably; I am very grateful for their willingness to “take the extra step” to make sure all of us enjoyed our tour. They worked hard and I must say their catering was excellent!
I must say I will be reporting enthusiastically to my friends on our tour. In the meantime I have hundreds of photographs to sort through, picking out the best, from which I can illustrate where we went and what we did. It was great. Good company, good experiences, what more can I say? I’ll have to settle to a big “Thank you” to you all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our “Adventure Wild” tour and being first time campers it was an excellent experience for us. Thommo and Gools were outstanding tour guides covering all necessities that made a very successful tour. The Kimberleys are an amazing place and we had the privilege of seeing and learning about this beautiful region of Australia. We wish Thommo and Gools and the company the best of luck.

On behalf of Michael and myself, I would like to provide feedback in relation to our Kimberley experience. Co-ordination, prior to the trip was without fault, with the information provided greatly appreciated and most useful. The trip far exceeded our expectations in every way, and is a testament to our wonderful “Tour Guides”, Thommo and Gools. Michael and I feel privileged to have been assigned these 1st Class Guides and hope we have a chance to catch up with them again in the future. By the end of the tour, we felt like part of their family. They were genuinely interested in the lives of all on the tour, and appropriately shared their travel experiences with us all. Members of the tour group were most compatible, and we hope they will visit us in Tasmania or we will catch up with them when we visit the “big island”.
Thommo and Gools were extremely well organised, and by the end of the trip, I think they had us all organised too. Our travelling companions, who had never “camped” before, soon adapted to the “great outdoors” and with a bit of guidance and support, enjoyed the tour as much as those of us who are seasoned campers. Their passion, knowledge and understanding of the Kimberley region was amazing. We learned so much about the area, the original land owners, and the farming communities from them both. A highlight was a visit by one of the “Elders”. Sitting around the campfire at night was magic for me. The camp-fire is why I’m so enthusiastic about camping.
Meal preparation via the camp kitchen never ceased to amaze us all. Barramundi poached in White Wine was one of the delectable meals we enjoyed. Quality, quantity and variety could not be faulted. Just shows what can be achieved with adequate equipment, careful planning and organisational skills. Whilst facilities at campsites varied, this all added to the outdoor experience. Having tents already erected on three occasions was most welcome, especially at the end of the long days travelling and trekking. As “Adventures Wild” tours are “wild adventures at their best”, making it too comfortable may detract from the intended outback experience.
The poor truck – not sure how it survives the rough terrain at times. Thommo and Gools take good care of your equipment and do everything possible to ensure we are as comfortable as possible. The water canteens and sleeping bags will be passed on to our grandchildren who also love the outdoor experiences, hiking and camping etc. We coped well with the pace of the tour and were pleasantly surprised with our capacity to comfortably complete all the walks. The scenery along the way and the final destinations made it all worthwhile. In retrospect, we believe 11 nights was long enough, and I’m sure we saw “the best” of the amazing Kimberley. We will most certainly pass on your tour brochures to our friends and will suggest they choose “Thommo and Gools” if they decide to book a tour with you.
Our photos reflect our amazing experiences, meeting other travellers, and being fortunate enough to meet and get to know Thommo and Gools. Memories to treasure for-ever.

I am writing to express my appreciation to Corf and Adey for a fantastic holiday made all the better by their willing cheerfulness, good humour, knowledge and care for all of us. What a team! Despite the remoteness of the region, I always felt safe and secure (although I ensured my tent was zipped up) . We didn’t have to think too hard – Corf and Adey’s knowledge helped us decide on which activities to choose so that we could just enjoy the best of the Kimberley. Food was great and plenty of it. Great campfires, tall stories and good company. The trip was all I had hoped for and more. Now back to Perth, work and reality!
