We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.

Absolutely Amazing
I honestly don’t understand why I hesitated for so long about joining a group tour. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
From the preparation before the trip to the moment I was picked up, everything was well organised. Every single minute of this tour was enjoyable.
Our guides, Phil and Liz, were simply amazing. Their knowledge of the Kimberley is incredible, and they shared so many fascinating stories along the way. They immediately took away any doubts I had about travelling in a group. They gave everyone personal attention, encouraged us to join every activity, and were there for us from sunrise to sunset. They complement each other perfectly and are truly wonderful people.
The group itself was also fantastic. It was such a great mix of genuinely lovely people, and I feel incredibly lucky to have shared this adventure with them. We laughed a lot, had meaningful conversations, and even shared a few happy tears. I’ve made new friends that I’ll always remember.
Travelling the iconic Gibb River Road was an adventure in itself. Every day brought another spectacular gorge, breathtaking scenery and crystal-clear swimming holes where we could cool off after a hike. The Kimberley is simply unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been.
And then there are the Bungle Bungles… If you can, do the helicopter flight, seeing them from the air gives you a completely different perspective and makes you realise just how vast and extraordinary this landscape really is.
The itinerary covers so much, yet it never feels rushed. There was always enough time to appreciate each place. Camping quickly became part of the fun, rolling up our swags almost turned into a daily competition! Even doing the dishes became an enjoyable team effort, and everything just flowed naturally.
I absolutely loved exploring this exceptionally beautiful part of Australia with such experienced guides and such a wonderful group of people.
I’ll look back on this trip with immense gratitude and very happy memories. If you’re hesitating about booking with Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours like I was, don’t. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Fantastic Kimberley Adventure
I’m so happy that I chose Adventure Wild for my first trip to the Kimberley, from start to finish the days were pack with Adventure and hospitality. The guides were excellent, the food delicious and plentiful. I was very pleased that the other members of the tour were of a similar age (I wasn’t the only old fart).
Don’t just think about doing a tour of the Kimberley.

Incredible outback experience
Oh my goodness, Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours provided the most incredible experience! From the very first contact with Simone right through to the final goodbye, I had the time of my life!
Travelling solo for the first time I was quite nervous and had no idea what to expect. Kaz and Jimmy were not only our guides, they became our friends! I was pushed outside my comfort zone, however it was always with support and guidance. Our group quickly bonded and lifelong friendships were made. I am still in awe at Kaz and the incredible meals she kept pulling out of that camp kitchen after a full day of travel or hikes. Mind blown 😜
Do not hesitate to go on this adventure! You will gain more than you could ever imagine. I’d go again tomorrow if I could.

The Kimberley with Adventure Wild
I did the 12 day tour of The Kimberley with Adventure Wild. Guides Liz & Phil were amazing. They lead with kindness & humour, sharing their obvious passion for the area. Nothing rattled them, even when being asked for the 6th time, what do we need today? The food they prepared for us was delicious & plentiful. We were kept busy without ever feeling hurried. I got to visit some amazing places that have become special memories that will stay with me always. It was all the more special thanks to the great bunch of people I got to share this trip with. I couldn‘t have asked for a nicer lot. Thank you all for an amazing adventure.

Do this trip!
An incredible experience with Karen and Jamie leading us through an amazing part of Australia. The early starts are worth it, getting access to gorges and venues before the hordes, and packing in busy days to see as much as possible. Our excellent guides did everything – driving, cooking, offering their knowledge of the land and helping the group with nothing being too much trouble.
This trip covers a lot of ground and the days are busy but so very satisfying to see some of the best natural sites in the world.
Karen and Jamie made every day fun, interesting and always with a laugh. They had the flexibility to adjust what we did to match the varying needs of our group. We met some great people and made friends for life (and possibly have been convinced to buy a camper van!).
Oh wow! Why wouldn’t you do this tour!! It has to be the best outdoors experience of mine, ever. Right from the booking, planning and organising, this is a very professional and experienced privately owned tour business.
Simone is amazing. Nothing too hard to organise. Very attentive and “on to it”. And as for our tour leaders…. Kaz & Jimmy…. they truly were simply the best! They are constantly kind and very busy, providing great care with information, food prep, and flexibility to look after everyone’s needs.
Camping was great! Loved it a lot. But I’d have to say the very best bit was a combination of the leaders and tour group as a whole. We had the best fun. So much fun and laughter!

What an utterly amazing 12 days we had – and I can’t recommend Adventure Wild highly enough! From prompt communication from Simone to over and above support from our fantastic guides – Kaz and Jimmy – thank you so much – you are the perfect couple for this job!
Our group soon found its groove and laughter flowed on and off the bus! As previously reported the food, tents, swags and itinerary were all superb- I loved it all and especially the swims!

Simone and Karl are so knowledgeable about the Kimberley region and have the best guides to lead you through this once in a lifetime experience. It felt very personalised and tailored to each individual’s physical capacity. I felt safe, cared for… spoilt even, and very much appreciated the skills and passion of our guides for this region. I returned home with wonderful memories, photos of stunning vistas and a wonderful experience only made possible by Adventure Wild’s dedication and attention to detail.

I did want to say thank you so much to you all for a fabulous experience from our first enquiry through to our post departure drop offs (including our extra luggage waiting in rooms). You work incredibly hard to give your clients the best experience possible and it really comes through in the smiles all around no matter what we were doing.
You have also found incredible ‘gems’ in Kaz and Jimmy. They were fantastic guides and hosts. Very professional, authentic, knowledgeable, friendly amd expertly navigated the roughest of roads. Most of all the care that they showed each and everyone of us went beyond just the job, nurturing the group along and sharing many laugh and the odd teary eye. And we all left wanting various recipes from Kaz’s and Jimmy’s cookbook as the meals they prepared each day was well beyond expectation and healthy and delicious.
Thank you again for this incredible experience. I’m leaving with many happy memories, several hundred photos to sort through, a great bunch of new friends. The Kimberley’s has found its way ‘under my skin’ (and the red dirt under my nails) – I hope I can return again one day to explore some more.

The Adventure Wild itinerary was perfect. Up early for enegetic walks to waterfall swimming holes, afternoon immersive activities, evening sunset experiences and camp fire relaxation, all peppered with fabulous tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Our leaders Liz and Phil were amazing, organised, safety conscious, kind and caring.
