We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
We had been to Broome about 6 years before.. we drove.. ourselves.. nearly insane.. we went via Marble Bar and back down the coast but never saw any of the magnificent country of the Kimberly. We were restricted where we could go with our rickety caravan and although it did hold together surprisingly well over the corrugations, it was frankly a pain in the backside and not much of a break from the cooking and driving side of life and we didn’t see much other than the road straight ahead.
We had never done an organised trip before and I was not sure how we would go with someone else doing all the organising.. farmers tend to be very self sufficient and do everything themselves… I am converted.. it was bliss. The scenery was to die for, the organization perfect, the balance between relaxing and ‘adventuring’ was just right for our age group and the company wonderful. The knowledge of Gools and Thommo was par excellence, be it birds, plants or local culture, as were Thommo’s gentle stories that made us think about history and cultural differences.
So not only did we see and hear.. we also thought and started to understand a bit more about what makes Australia what it is.
So back home to the animals and routine and meetings.. but I am pretty good about relaxing and going to bed early and getting up early.. and appreciating the sunrises and sunsets and the glass of wine.. ahhhh.
Thank you Adventure Wild.

1 week since returning from the awesome Kimberley and I can’t stop telling everyone about such a perfect experience.
From initial contact on planning this trip and throughout the 12 days away, I have never before dealt with a more professional organisation.
Thommo and Gools were exceptional hosts and guides with their knowledge and enthusiasm of the entire Kimberly region. The food was amazing. (I think I would do another trip with them just to again experience such great meals. Reality food shows have nothing on what they can produce and that is all while camping.)
The Gibb River is a trip that I had planned to do on my own. I am so glad now that I went with people that know the area and places of interest – and more, and have all the right equipment to tackle such a rugged area. I’m sure so many people miss ‘those special attractions’.
Thanks again to Simone, Rory, Karl, Thommo, Gools and all who made this trip so great, even the mottley bunch we travelled with. (We did all right).

Wow what a wonderful trip we did with Adey & Corf!
The Kimberley has always been an awesome place – but to have the company of a great bunch of people to experience the Gibb River Road with has made it a really special 12 days. We were completely spoilt – the attention to detail in which Adey and Corf plied their craft was a credit to them. The whole trip was brilliant, from the comfort to the awesome scenery and sunsets, the night sky the delicious food and the campfire yarns. I still can’t get the grin off my face.

We have just returned home, after adding Kakadu onto our itinerary after our 12 day camping safari. We had a wonderful time with our guides, Thommo and Gools in the Kimberley. They were professional, organised, enthusiastic and fun! I would gladly recommend them to anyone!!

I would like to offer a testimonial related to the recent tour which started August 7:
“I was so much looking forward to the tour and had high expectations. All of my expectations were met and more. The group bonded very quickly under the expert guidance of the tour guides Corf and Adey. Full marks for the great organisation and well thought out processes that made the tour run like clockwork without feeling too pressured. It resonated well with my German background.
As a vegetarian I was a bit apprehensive how I would go with the nutritional side of things. I was delighted how Adey catered for my needs without making much fuss at all. It was a good standard.
I thoroughly enjoyed Corf’s story telling gift and his ability to get a lot of useful information about the Kimberley across to us in an entertaining way. In particular I liked the camping arrangements and to have access to my own tent as a single participant without the usual ‘single supplement fee’.
The pacing throughout the tour was very good and to have some personal time occasionally was scheduled just at the right times.
Thank you all for a lifetime experience.”

A little belated but I just wanted to let you know how much Dot, Marie and I enjoyed our tour with Corf and Adey. I have had this trip on my bucket list for years and it certainly lived up to all my expectations. And more.
Corf and Adey were the best tour guides you could ever have, always helpful and easy going even when the going got tough as in Halls Creek! The meals were varied and very tasty. The evenings sitting around the camp fire were great. We were very lucky to have a very compatible group and I appreciated the extra effort Corf went to to take us ( those that were interested) early morning bird watching.
From a personal note I was very appreciative of Adey taking all the walks even though on one occasion there was only two of us doing it. I am afraid I am one of those people who like to do all the walks, sorry!
I have had Michela staying with me for the past week so now I have a new friend whom I met on the trip. All in all a very enjoyable experience and my only “beef” is that I put on too much weight!!! Thanks Adey!
Already we have several friends from our walking club talking about going next year so the extra brochures you sent will come in handy.

We had a great trip thru the Kimberley, we loved the way Greg and Choccy shared their passion for the region and knowledge in such an easy manner. They also adapted the trip to accommodate the interests of the group whether it was rock art, bird spotting or as in my case geocaching.
Simply put geocaching is treasure hunting for a cache (container) using a GPS. Each cache has a log book and some have treasure. This activity was new to everyone on our tour and Choccy became quite enthusiastic. This added to my enjoyment on the trip.
I recorded in the on-line log for a cache called “Jam and Cream.” I read this cache and hoped our Adventure Wild guides would take us there, jam and scones, yummy. Yippee they did, but first a cache to be found and Chief Muggle Choccy found this one. Of course we told Karen and got the cache story.
We loved sleeping out in the swags, and it was great travelling with Australian rugby enthusiasts when two NZ teams beat the Brumbies and Waratahs in the Super 15 semi-finals, lots of good natured banter.

I had a wonderful trip up the Gibb River Road. Adey and Corf were the perfect hosts.
Corf’s calm way of dealing with the unexpected was very impressive; Adey’s mastery of the camp kitchen was truly amazing. Those meals were delicious. Please pass on my sincere thanks to them both.
Thanks for all your help in getting me there.

Thanks for this, I am only just now getting around to doing the wrap up on our Kimberley adventure. Fran and I both had a fantastic time with Gooles and Thomo and we are still glowing in the aftermath. It’s a bit annoying how, once you get home, life and work seems to get in the way of reliving the experience!
I’ve told many people about Adventure Wild and will continue to sing your praises at every opportunity. I cannot imagine having done this trip with any other company. Thomo and Gooles are such fantastic people, funny and knowledgeable and they work so incredibly hard to make sure that everyone has the absolute best experience. It’s hard to even speculate on how the tour could have been any better.
Although I would venture to suggest that time could be saved and angst avoided if there was an alternative to the swags. Fran and I would sometimes get into hysterics trying to roll these things up in the allocated time frame and still get to eat breakfast! Often Thomo would come to the rescue! Not complaining though … it was all part of the fun. It’s also funny how we learned to make our tea first in the morning so it could cool a bit while we ate and then we would swig it down quickly in time for the clear up! It’s the little things … Lol!

G’day, I did fill in the survey form on the bus, but forgot to mention Greg’s didj playing especially in Cathedral Gorge, it silenced everyone who was there ( around 50 people). Fantastic.
We enjoyed the trip immensely, all adventuresome, some 4wd’ing, extra side trips for animals, birds, plants & trees, stops on the spur of the moment, like when we passed a muster camp, right on the roadside & Choccky asked could we take pics & we talked to the blokes. The 2 sunset drinks & nibbles outings to see the cliffs change colour . He (Greg) took us over a creek, dropped us off, drove back over & came over again just so we could all get pics of OUR bus doing some adventurous stuff.
Now we are home &…………..I have to cook!!! oh darn!!! the food Choccky fed us was soooo nice, plenty of it, snacks when we went on the gorge walks ( for energy to walk back!!) lollies & fruit in the bus.
All good, & I have already told others about how wonderful it all was & that they should go.
