We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
This was my second trip with Sara and Pete, and once again — absolutely brilliant. They’re not just great guides, they’re a great team: organised, calm, funny, and genuinely caring.
We were fed like royalty — delicious meals every day, even in the middle of nowhere! The atmosphere was always relaxed and cheerful, and it felt like everyone quickly found their groove. Turns out, camping isn’t hard at all when you’re with people who know what they’re doing and make it fun.
Sara and Pete create the kind of trip where you feel safe, supported, and part of a little adventure family. Can’t recommend them enough!
Words cannot express how fantastic this trip was but we’ll try.
Where do we start! Simone – you did an incredible job of setting up our itinerary in reverse in the days before departure to ensure that our group was able to access all sites. To our guides
Peter and Sarah – you took on the challenges of the reversed itinerary with aplomb and took it in your stride.. The meals you produced were amazing and varied. We had pasta and rice dishes, salmon, steak and chicken. A dessert every night and a wonderful selection of cold salads and meats at lunchtimes. Pete – your knowledge of the history of the Kimberley was amazing and you were a great story teller. Sarah – you kept us organised and safe. Your compassion and caring encouragement for the few of us who were challenged on some of the walks was so much appreciated. We’re in our late 70’s but enjoyed every minute of this epic trip.
The highlights are too many to mention – there were moments big and small every day. A number of bucket list items ticked off spectacularly. The Bungles, Gibb River Road itself, Tunnel Creek , Emma Gorge to name just a few!!
Thank you Adventure Wild – we are so glad we chose to see the Kimberley with you – you really are the best!!!
💐 4-15th June 2025 Sarah and Peter accolades.
Firstly I’m freezing 🥶 (ha!)
I’d like to thank you again for the effort you went to in order for us to have a smooth successful “reverse” safari. It was a chaotic time and I’m sure you spent a long time on the phone reorganising all the campsite bookings, flights, cruises and special permits we needed. Also a big thank you to Sarah for making the meals work to the altered schedule and Pete for his kind calm demeanour. I really hope you all feel appreciated and supported.😘
Regarding our tent situation, well my little group of non camping friends volunteered and we managed well enough. We may have grumbled amongst ourselves (sorry🙏) for 5 minutes each time we set up/down in the dark but it was soon forgotten and didn’t detract from the overall awesome experience. Best thing about the domes was the silent zips😂 We were all delighted at how warm the swags were.
Among my trip highlights were Purnululu without the general public, the Ord River cruise, the full moon rise over Cockburn Range and the cold early morning finale at Tunnel Creek.
This is my 2nd time in the Kimberleys with Pete. First was with IO in 2019. It was very dry then. Now in 2025 I got to see it with abundant water. I’m so lucky. After that great trip I still had a longing to come back and now I am fully satisfied.
Lastly, your customer service is phenomenal. No other Aust company (and I’ve travelled with them all) is as friendly and approachable as AW.
Thanks again,
Hi Simone,
Had a fantastic time with a great group of people. Peter and Sarah did an amazing job and were always approachable no matter how many questions we asked.
Thanks
Good morning, Simone.
Wow, what an amazing trip we had! Sarah and Pete are just fabulous leaders/guides, and every day of our adventure was wonderful. And we got in to see everything, despite recent weather!
Could I ask you to please pass on our gratitude to Sarah and Pete.
All the best,
Hi Simone,
We have just returned from a 12 day Broome to Broome camping adventure, led by our inimitable guides Phil and Liz. Despite the disruptive impact of unseasonably heavy rainfall on the roads and the landscape, we still enjoyed the spectacular scenery, camping and walking in dramatic locations and swimming under waterfalls in remarkable gorges. A helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles was a particular highlight.
Our guides were knowledgeable, energetic and positive – fun to be with. They provided great food and built a positive atmosphere in our group.
We were also impressed with Adventure Wild’s backup organisation as the trip necessarily changed to meet the unusual conditions – they were proactive and communicated very well.
Our friends had loved this trip a year ago and we did as well. Go, you’ll have a great time.
Cheers
Adventure Wild lived up to their 5 star reputation plus more. I took the 12 day safari with 15 other travellers on a very well equipped 4 x 4 IZUZU truck converted to a robust, comfortable and air conditioned bus configuration. We could not fault the knowledge, care and guidance delivered by our 2 tour guides who are 15 year veterans of the amazing Kimberley region, albeit spectacular but hazardous and definitely not for the faint hearted. We kept moving to cover the trip all the way to Kununarra before returning via the Gibb River Rd with countless river crossings from the Eastern end. 12 days is enough in a swag and to arrive back in Broome with new friends from sharing this wonderful experience.
Well done Adventure Wild.
Hi Karl and Simone, just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our Kimberley trip which left on the 21 May2025.
We were very impressed with our fearless leaders Peter and Sarah who left no stone unturned in ensuring that the trip was successful. They were extremely likeable, friendly, well organised, sensitive to the needs of everyone. They both had a great sense of humour, provided a sound knowledge of the areas we visited, encouraged all groups members to work together and ensured that we had a successful, exciting and adventurous trip. They were a real team. There shared experiences, knowledge and their teamwork was outstanding.
We both came away from this trip excited and challenged with what we achieved.
We cannot speak highly enough of this magnificient Adventure Wild trip. Clearly Karl and Simone you have have provided the leadership, staff and management style to ensure that you have a very successful business. Well done and all the best.
Greatly appreciated.
Hi Simone and Karl,
I thought the trip was very well organised and Magnus and Wendy were wonderful hosts/guides/sources of information and FOOD glorious food.
The rain early on prevented our entry into Purnululu which was an unavoidable disappointment.
My other disappointment was the absence of any indigenous input. The areas we visited were and are important cultural and spiritual sites. I really expected there would be at least some involvement of aboriginal people to give travellers some information and insight into these aspects of the country, as well as some awareness of the impacts of white settlement on traditional life. I really think tours such as I have just done with Adventure Wild could help to foster greater understanding between Aboriginal and white Australians, and other visitors. I say this because we hardly ever hear about Aboriginal people in our media unless they are causing, or in, trouble.
In finishing I want to say thank you for arranging such a good journey, choosing great hosts, and for your patience and flexibility with everything.
Kindest regards
This was a very special trip. We did the 12 day Broome to Broome tour and it was such a delight from beginning to end. The scenery was fantastic of course but the best memories are made up the people, especially our loveable little workhorse guides, Liz and Phil. The “strangers” on our tour soon became our little family and we are still in touch. Honestly, when else am I going to have belly laughs before 6am?! The camping and swags were very comfortable. The food was terrific and the bus is amazing. It’s also just the right mix of adventure and rest. I’ve come home completely recharged. 10 out of 10!
