We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Hello Simone,
I simply want to say thank you for all that you do in arranging these wonderful tours.
And for your unique team of Liz and Phil and their enormous and energetic and caring input. Those two are such wonderful folk.
And another thank you, to you Simone, and to Kingfisher Flights, for re-arranging the glitch.
And another thank you to Liz and Phil, big time, for who they are.
Dear Karl and Simone,
I can’t thank you enough for a wonderful 12 day trip with our lovely guides Mark and Carmel.
From the moment I contacted Australia Wild everything ran like clockwork. You must run the most efficient, friendly, knowledgeable company I have ever come across.
My calls were always answered, no matter how often I bothered you with silly questions, they were handled quickly, efficiently and in such a friendly manner that I felt as if I knew you both.
As for Mark and Carmel – well words hardly do them justice. Two more congenial, hard working, well informed guides would be impossible to find. They produced a never ending supply of food. It was always fresh, very yummy and beautifully presented. The kitchen trailer was like a wonder box of magical delights. The drinks were cold and fruit and snacks appeared whenever we stopped. Don’t know how Carmel managed to do so much, so quietly and with so little fuss. It was quite seamless.
Mark and Carmel have extensive knowledge of the area, not only regarding the terrain but the flora and fauna as well. Despite the fact that they never stopped working, they always found time to sit down with us, answered endless (and probably repetitive) questions and they appeared never to get tired! On the many gorge walks their detail to our safety and enjoyment was paramount.
Thank you all again for a remarkable holiday.
Best regards
Good morning Simone and Karl ,
As we discussed your tour at our first meeting at the caravan and camping show in Melbourne, you delivered more than I possibly expected. My trip was the best I have ever experienced considering I have been on tours to the Cape and other place with other tour companies.
Our tour guides Mark & Carmel very soon became our friends with a very professional working relationship with the group. Considering we all come from different walks of life, this was just amazing with no problems between any of us. Mark & Carmel in my opinion went way beyond their role as guides to us, the meals were fantastic and the sights around the Kimberley were the highlight.
In closing I would just like to thank you again for an amazing trip and I will certainly be recommending Adventure Wild to my friends or to anyone who asked about the Kimberley
Best wishes
We would totally recommend to anyone the Adventure Wild 12 day Safari of one of the most remarkable and iconic regions in the world “the Kimberley”.
Our amazing and adventurous Tour Guides “Thommo & Gools” provided knowledgeable, researched and a comprehensive commentary throughout making this tour for us so enjoyable and fun. They displayed total respect for each and everyone’s needs.
The meals were incredible conjured up out of nowhere and all diets catered for with effortless ease. We dined in a different country every evening under the stars. Wine glasses on the tables and ice for our gins!
Thank you Gools and Thommo and the Adventure Wild Team for an unforgettable 12 days.
Dear Simone
Just writing to say how much I enjoyed your tour, Mark and Carmel were fantastic, brilliantly organised, great guides, good fun, making the adventure a great experience.
Of course the very best camp was your own by the billabong I particularly loved that one!
Wow what a great adventure we had!!
With no camping experience this was a real test, I did it with the help of Carmel and Mark and the rest of our fantastic group (especially the swag rolling)
The journey was made more memorable on the 20th June for my 60th Birthday.
The Triple J Ord River tour was spectacular and lots of fun and Carmel and Mark went out of their way to make it a special night with my favorite desert Pavlova and lots of laughing and singing.
I’ll never forget this birthday with new friends who made my holiday such a memorable one.
I always felt safe with Carmel and Mark as our guides, either driving down rugged roads or walking over rocks down the many gorges.
I would happily recommend Adventure Wild Tours and you would be extra lucky to have Carmel and Mark as your guides.
“On The Road Again”
Cheers 🙂
Simone.
Thank you for putting together a great tour of the Kimberley. Seeing is believing.
The tour: What a great group of people. Everyone got on so good. The laughter around the fire of a night was great.
Our tour guides Mark and Carmel: We need more Mark and Carmels in this world. They work there guts out from the moment they get out of bed till they go to bed in the evenings. Simone you have 2 dedicated people where nothing is a problem. If you have a problem Mark and Carmel will go our of there way to make sure your problem is rectified, such as if a person dislikes a certain food, Carmel will go to plan B and overcome that problem. If a person wants to stop for the paper in Broome before being dropped off at his motel, not a problem to Mark. Simone that is only an example as to how Mark and Carmel go about there job.
I cannot say anything about how you could improve your tour as I was very happy and would recommend your company Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours to anyone.
Simone I can keep writing all day but it would only be praise for your company and Mark and Carmel. Mark and Carmel are 2 great people who I hope to catch up with at a later date.
Thank you all for your company and a memorable trip.
Cheers. 😎👍
We thank Mark and Carmel our tour guides for excellent and informative adventure in the Kimberley. We first met Mark and Carmel at the Camping and Caravan expo at Redcliffe Queensland in early 2018 and were impressed with their answers to our queries regarding the Adventure Wild, tour so decided to book a tour with them.
The Gorges visited were amazing and the Zebedee Hot Springs very relaxing. Exhilarating does not fully describe the trip down the Ord River and the Bungle Bungle range “WOW’. Our last camp site was the best with an exceptional sunrise over the billabong.
Catering by Carmel was excellent, we definitely didn’t loose weight but maybe are a little fitter. The pace of the tour was easy to handle and we now know how to roll swags.
As a geologist, the descriptions of the features given by Carmel were accurate and it is obvious she has done some research and reading.
We will definitely purchase “On the Road Again”.
We thoroughly recommend a tour with Adventure Wild and you will be doubly blessed if you are guided by Mark and Carmel.
Best regards
P.S. On the last day our tour group wanted to tur right (to start all over again) and not left, back to Broome. “ON THE ROAD AGAIN”

Dear Simone,
Maybe the Bungle Bungles are far more spectacular than Ayers Rock or the Olga’s, and the sunsets better than in Bali, but all pale into insignificance by the enthusiasm, experience and knowledge of your incredible guides, Mark and Carmel. They MADE the trip. Their unfailing desire to make all the travellers feel as one, and become more knowledgeable of the spectacular scenery, made the trip very special.
For those who may have never been camping in their life, or felt they were not fit enough, Carmel and Mark made sure they seamlessly fitted in and enjoyed the tour.
We consider that you are extremely fortunate to have the services of such incredible, entertaining people as Mark and Carmel.
The travelling food truck and the gourmet food produced in the red desert, was 5 star, so fresh, tasty and such variety.
The only thing that we did not achieve on this action packed journey, was to find the Just Jeans Shop in Fitzroy Crossing, that Mark told us was there!!!

In Kimberley the God of all
a magic kingdom did decree
where Gibb the famous highway ran
through potholes measureless to man
down to the Indian Sea
In Broome was met a hardy group
of total strangers, quiet and shy,
united by a common goal
to give this trip their heart and soul
and end it on a high
With Corf and Aidy at the helm
they set off ‘cross this mighty land
with walks and views and swims galore
who knew what else was still in store
with boab, rock and sand.
No slimming plans were here allowed
with sunset treats and morning tea
the cooking lady was a star,
the guide, her husband, top by far,
the best a trip could be.
But after dinner things turned sour
embellished stories found new ground
with friendships tested to the hilt
when some, it seemed, just knew no guilt
as gossip flew around
And last, not least, the Bungles day
the highway in the roads from hell
with beehive domes, the walks, the flights
by plane – and bus – with awesome sights
a day of tales to tell.
Lets not forget the filming crew
a thousand shots for every page
“take one”. ‘take two”, their voices soar
but wait, there’s more “take three”, “take four”
Ah, all the world’s a stage!
But now it’s time to say goodbye
our memories ne’er will be defiled
the laughs, the walks, the views, the joys
the memories shared, old girls and boys,
thanks to Adventure Wild !
