We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.

Just wanted to say a big huge thank you for the wonderful trip I just returned from (9th July trip).
Liz and Phil were just amazing, and I felt so taken care of. I had the most wonderful time. I am so impressed with all your procedures, it is a beautiful experience from start to finish. I was so relaxed, because I knew everything was totally organised! Congratulations, I know there is so much work, years of experience, relationship building and hiring the right people to make a trip like this look so seamless! I suspect I will be back on tour again with AW, and I am telling anyone who will listen to go up and travel with Adventure Wild!
I have been meaning to email and just mention that I had a huge advantage coming in as a patient of mine had been on a similar trip 3 weeks before I left (with another company). She mentioned how much hiking was done in wet bathers and that I should definitely take a second pair! With this information, I was able to bring 2 pairs so they were always dry going on. I was also able to be more mindful in the bathers I chose to bring- as someone with bigger boobs I would have been uncomfortable hiking for hours without enough support for “the girls”. Haha I would have had my arms crossed in every photo! I don’t think you would have to explicitly tell people what level of support bathers to bring, but it would be great in the packing list to have it highlighted that you will be hiking in your bathers for most of the hikes! This is probably a 2026 addition to your prestart documents, but since I found the heads up so valuable, I thought I would pass it on to you too!

My wife and I have just returned from a 12 day Adventure Wild camping trip from Broome to Broome through the Kimberleys.
We had the best time ever. It was a TRUE ADVENTURE.
We went in not really knowing what to expect. We had heard about the Kimberleys being a great place to visit but not understanding why. Now I know!
It is incredible, thrilling, fun, and so much more. I don’t want to say too much about the adventures themselves so as not to spoil your adventure.
Don’t overthink it. Just do it.
Adventure Wild is a great company to do it with. I can’t imagine it being any better doing The Kimberleys any other way. Great communication prior to travelling, fantastic tour leaders Peter and Sarah, a great vehicle to move you around. Great healthy food. You will be exhausted but you will love it.

Your professionalism, care and warm nature was a big part of what made my tour so fabulous. I was impressed and appreciated by so many things, including your depth of knowledge of the area, history, geology, flora and fauna. You seemed to love the Kimberley, and loved sharing it with others.
Also, your organisation that made camping and touring the Kimberley a breeze which allowed me to really enjoy what was around me. I felt well looked after.
I also really enjoyed your company. You were patient and kind with my questions (and everyone else’s), and I enjoyed having a laugh together.

This was our 3rd attempt to do this tour due to covid related border closures and it was so, so worth the wait. We travelled as a family of two adults and two teenagers (yes! we highly recommend this for family groups, the teens rated this tour 9 out of 10..only lost one point for the early starts). I can’t think of another way to see this part of Australia, given the complexities & expense of touring on the Gibb River Road.
Our guides Sarah & Pete worked like Trojans to keep us all comfortable, well fed, informed & supported during this tour. We also couldn’t have asked for a better touring group, which was a mix of singles , couples and another family with children close in age to our two. The dynamic of this group was special and we all worked with Sarah & Pete to make it easy, streamlined, efficient, on-time and lots of fun. Thanks S&P you were simply awesome!
As for the scenery, well, wow is the only word I can use. This is magnificent country. It doesn’t give up its jewels easily, but the reward of a spectacular waterfall cascading down hundreds of metres of red rock into a cool, deep emerald pool was literally jaw-dropping. We swam so much in these places and to sit under a waterfall in an ancient landscape, well, the entire world felt like it didn’t exist in these moments. The early mornings meant we were able to access some of the sites before the crowds turned up. I’d highly recommend you do all of the extra activities, to see this country by air is not-to-be missed & the JJJ Ord river cruise was a highlight.
On a practical level, bring two pairs of bathers as you will spend quite a lot of time swimming and I’d recommend quick-dry clothes, shoes & towels (bring two). A warm fleece, beanie & light puffer jacket will also be ideal on the cold nights. Walking poles also very handy due to the terrain on quite a few of the walks.

Liz and Phil are amazing guides. They ensured that the tour was friendly fun and adventurous. We had tasty meals, snacks and treats – even marshmallows over the campfire. Everyone pitched in to help wash up and dry, put out chairs and generally assist where they could. There was plenty of laughter and a genuine enjoyment of being out in nature.
I highly recommend this trip and your company to anyone wanting to visit the Kimberley especially if you are travelling alone as I was.

I loved my time in the Kimberley’s, it surpassed all my expectations. Your pre organisation was appreciated especially suggesting I not change my accommodation before the tour.
Liz and Phil are a great pair, efficient, organised, friendly and excellent guides. They made us feel like a real family and we gelled as a group. I’m happy to recommend your company to family and friends.
As someone who has travelled extensively throughout the world and Australia- privately as well as going on over a dozen organised tours, this trip rates up there as special.

We thank you, Sarah and Pete for a wonderful Kimberley adventure. It was beyond our expectations, despite Barbs’ little extra adventure. Sarah and Pete were great guides and hosts, keeping us informed, well fed, and entertained. We really enjoyed the company of our group and everyone played a part in making the tour so much fun.
