We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.

From the moment we made contact with Simone and Karl, together with strong recommendations from friends, we knew we were with the right tour company. When we needed help deciding on which optional tours to take, Simone patiently gave us her time.
On the first day, we were delayed due to some lost medication. The team worked together to replace it and recommence our journey, all without fuss and efficiently.
Carmel and Mark were consummate hosts! The food was delicious and plentiful. Their knowledge of and passion for the Kimberley was evident. My husband had needs which they met and anticipated throughout the trip. The way they worked together and their humour made everything so easy.
Our Kimberley is so beautiful and I would recommend seeing it this way with this company! Thank you to all at Adventure Wild.
I had such a great time on the Kimberley tour. The constant stream of beautiful sights was awesome. The gorges, the mountains, the (often waterless) rivers, the sunsets were a sight to behold whether viewed from the air, water or on foot.
The trip was greatly enhanced by the guidance and friendship of Carmel and Mark. Their knowledge, insight and humour made it a most enjoyable trip. Adventure Wild’s organisation made the trip so smooth. The food was fabulous as was the company of my travelling companions. I can’t recommend this trip too highly.
I’ve had this trip on my ‘Must Do’ list for a while and the trip in July with Liz and Phil met and exceeded my expectations.
The pace and mix of driving and stops was great, the campsites were varied, but always well set up and the group of passengers were so friendly and helpful that we felt like a family from Day 1.
The scenery is stunning and the information shared with us by Liz & Phil brought the history and culture to life. They kept us well-briefed so we knew what each day would bring and how to be prepared for walks and stops along the way. The communication and organisation between Liz & Phil and Karl & Simone in the office made for seamless bookings for extra activities.
All in all a fabulous trip which I definitely recommend.
We can only reiterate what has already been said about this amazing tour with such amazing guides. Every minute of every day was just sensational.
With all of the travelling that we have done over the years this one tops our list by far.

We had a fantastic 12 day tour with Adventure Wild. We had Phil and Liz as our guides. They were extraordinary!! Their knowledge, experience and people skills were second to none and really made our tour. They couldn’t do enough to make sure our tour, although to a set schedule, was still all about the people on their tour. Their humour, care and low key approach but absolute commitment and enjoyment to what they do was nothing less than EXTRAORDINARY!!!
Although, initially concerned at the cost, we can not recommend this tour enough and it is absolutely value for money!!! The food, experiences and places we saw and heard about were very special. I believe all the guides have their own style but are all fantastic. I am so glad we were able to experience this tour. Thank you so much to Adventure Wild. You are in a business but we truly felt we mattered to you…very rare these days!!! A special thanks to Phil and Liz. You guys are amazing!!
We have recently returned home from an amazing holiday in the Kimberley. We were recommended Adventure Wild by 2 unrelated people and are certainly happy we took their recommendation.
So many components made this trip awesome.
- The Kimberley is amazing. Every day we were seeing and doing something fabulous. Walking into the various gorges and swimming at the end of many was wonderful.
- Our brilliant tour guides Carmel and Mark were so friendly and interested in all of us as well as sharing their own stories. They are such hard workers but always so cheerful. They both have a great sense of humour. Both excellent and careful drivers and share so much interesting information about the Kimberley.
- The food was plentiful and delicious.
- The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed siitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
- The camaraderie with all the other people made this a fun experience.
This tour is great value for money. We thoroughly recommend the 3 optional tours that we did even though they were expensive, they were exceptional experiences. The tours we did were:
- the flight over the Mitchell Falls, visiting Kalumbaru Mission and then over King George Sound
- Tour J3 – Bus to Lake Argyle & Return Boat Cruise along the Ord River and the
- 42 minute Helicopter Flight over the Bungle Bungle.
We will definitely be recommending this tour to others.

The tour was exceptional and I was blown away by this amazing part of our country. I got to meet a great group of people on our tour but also appreciated meeting different folks along the way who had unique stories to tell.
Mark and Carmel were marvellous. They had so much information to share and made travelling so much fun. All their hard work made the trip go so smoothly and we were fed far too well! I would certainly recommend this tour highly.

Just wanted to touch base with you since our Kimberley Tour. We travelled on the 17.7.19 tour (12 days) with Thommo & Gools. We had an awesome time. Great tour, great guides and great fellow travellers. We looked at a lot of different Kimberley tours and even considered doing self-drive but we are so pleased we took the tour with Adventure Wild. Value for money plus we learnt so much more of the culture & land from Thommo & Gools, stories shared, than we would have by ourselves. They looked after us well, made helpful suggestions for my back condition and catered to our dietary requirements. The meals were camp cooking at its best!!

We would like to sincerely thank you for our Kimberley experience. We went there with great anticipation of seeing some amazing sights and sites and we were not disappointed. We thought doing the trip with a tour group would also be good, but the experience was far better than expected. Everyone in our group seemed to get along so well (despite living in each other’s company 24 hours a day for 12 days) making it great fun.
However, the real gel for the trip was your leadership and care. Your constant energy, positivity and, above all, patience was truly admirable. If we had done the trip as a self-drive, we would have seen the sights. But your wealth of knowledge and the manner in which you shared this, gave us so much more than just seeing it. You brought the area to life by giving us the background to the history (both pre and post European settlement), the geography, the geology, the wildlife and stories about the characters who live there. Your encyclopaedic knowledge of the country was impressive. And you were able to negotiate this rugged terrain in a way that kept us safe and comfortable at all times.
Tony’s note: Thank you for taking the time to share with me so many things to cater for my interests and to personalise my experience. Things like which spots to find specific birds, where to go for a short walk, what sort of birds to find where -these pearls of advice were greatly appreciated. You were always so generous in giving of your time to share this advice.
We would also like to mention how Simone and Karl have always been so efficient in dealing with our enquiries and keeping us up to date with the steps involved in planning our adventure. We could not fault the whole experience. Thank you for that. I do plan to write a review for Trip Advisor as I know that is a well-used resource for people planning a trip and we want readers there to know the quality of the service your company provides.
