We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.

Hi Simone,
Peter and I absolutely loved our trip. 10/10 . Phil and Liz were the best. I am going through my photos now ( it’s going to take a while) .
Thank you so much.
Kind regards,
Hi Simone and Karl,
Well, where do I start !
My wife Robyn and I had booked to do an APT chartered cruise on Le Laperouse from Broome to Darwin in June but for various reasons had to cancel.
I was keen to see the Kimberley by land and on the recommendation of our friend Julie Jenkin, I booked with your company (Jules travelled with you last year or the year before ). I asked my brother Joe to join me as it wasn’t Robyn’s sort of adventure. It turned out well in the end as the appreciation of the land, sights and sounds and all the trip offered on so many levels was immense and hugely satisfying.
Let me start with you.
Your outstanding communications, both by phone and email made planning and understanding the forthcoming trip a breeze. You must be hard wired to your phone as I have never experienced in all my years in business someone who responds so quickly! The back of house is crucial to what you do and nothing was left to chance or overlooked. 10/10.
Then we had Phil and Liz as our tour guides and fearless leaders ! What a win to start the trip with.
Fabulous Phil, the bush philosopher with his store of “Philisms” to suit every location, situation and occasion. When temporarily ” detained ” in the Barnett River, Phil had to quietly correct those of us who were excited at getting bogged and us referring to our situation as such, by saying “you are never bogged if you can get out by yourself ” …..and that is precisely what we did with Phil’s experience and can do attitude winning the day. And a great conjurer of terrific evening meals to boot.
Loverly Liz, caring, kind, forever patient, organised, energetic, knowledgeable and incredibly hard working. We all looked forward to Liz’s nightly talkie talks where she outlined the next day’s activities and destinations, fielding numerous questions from us with consumate ease and experience. Her daily lunches were a highlight and eagerly consumed by all. They made a great team and seemed to enjoy our company as much as we did theirs.
The trip itself was a great balance of a hands on camping experience with swags, tents and campfires together with the indulgence of being transported, guided, fed and watered by others.
By the end of the adventure, we mostly reckoned we had a more fulfilling experience than some of our fellow Gibb River Road glampers in their leather seated Mercedes buses with air suspension (well maybe all except for the air suspension!)
With early to bed and earlier to rise being the modus operandi, I certainly felt wealthier and wiser for the experience.
I am now looking forward to returning next year with my wife Robyn and to experience this world class part of Australia by sea.
All the very best with the rest of your season and to many more delighted customers.
Regards and a huge thanks,
10 out of 10 for everything. It was a most fantastic trip – the food, the camping locations, the locations we visited, walked and swam in and, of course, the fabulous hosts, Liz and Phil. I cannot imagine any other couple who could surpass them! The group gelled together so well and everyone made new friends. Most fantastic experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to see the spectacular Kimberley.
With best wishes,
Thank you for a wonderful trip. Andrew and Sonya are really terrific guides and lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed all of it.
Hi Simone
I would like to thank you for all your hard work behind the scenes to ensure we could still go on as many of the extra tours as possible with our revised itinerary due to the flooded river crossings.
We had a truly wonderful time and cannot speak highly enough of Gools and Thommo.
Regards
Dear Simone,
I commend your efficiency and appreciate your concern for our wellbeing and that of others on the tour.
Best wishes.
Fabulous outstanding tour.
The weather caused alterations but “it is what it is”. Gools and Thommo were brilliant throughout the trip, unbelievable energy, humour and diligence maintained day or night. Well done.
Gools it was incredible to have such marvelous meals cooked up each night (restaurant quality) from the back of the truck.
Gools and Thommo displayed such interesting fantastic knowledge of the Kimberley throughout the trip that made the journey extremely enjoyable.
Dear Simone, Gools (Cheryl), Thommo (Wayne) and team in AWK
Namaste (hello) and Shukriya (thank you)
What can we say but a huge THANK YOU to all of you for an AbsFab Adventure Wild Kimberley Tour! No words can express our gratitude for a safe, surreal and superb Expedition.
Simone, your professionalism, politeness and promptness are amazing. We appreciated your immediate responses to our many queries and for guiding us through the process, with the vagaries of weather preceding our trip. Your planning of this trip showcases the deep thought and hard work given to understanding the needs and aspirations of the guests, the requirements of national parks, the pristine environment, First Nations priorities, and the safety of all. No easy task! Thanks to all in the team for contributing to a successful adventure.
Gools and Thommo, what a Dynamic Duo, a Terrific Team, who were Friend, Philosopher and Guide to a group of 16 strangers. On Day 1 you impressed us with your Capabilities, on day 2 you inspired Confidence in us, on Day 3 you showed your Creative side, on Day 4 your Charming Conversations, on Day 5 your Commitment to us seeing everything that was promised, on Day 6 your Communications with all stakeholders, on Day 7 your Chef skills, on Day 8 your ability to Co-design routines with your guests, on Day 9 your Cultural Sensitivity about all cultures, faiths, tradition, on Day 10 your genuine Curiosity to know more about your guests, on Day 11 your knowledge about the wider Community (be it First Nations, Environment, Royal Flying Doctors Service, whatever) and on Day 12 we were all Chuckling Companions throughout!
You both drove 500 more kms (3500 kms in all) to ensure we could see more, see everything safely and be as comfortable as possible.
Taking a 10 ton truck and trailer with all of us inside over the gushing mighty Fitzroy River in full flood to the other side was a WooHoo moment for many! Hauling up swags and bags and bringing them down again daily may not be as dramatic but sure was hard work for both of you. Surprising us with Thai curry one day, to gnocchi in cream sauce the next, with us breaking bread together over a campfire, is a memory not to be forgotten.
We really appreciated celebrating our milestone wedding anniversary with bubbly, a campfire at our feet and a carpet of stars above our heads. Awesome!
G&T, you created a home away from home for us, and your patience, humour, knowledge and skills nurtured us, supported us, steering us from a group of random people to a a group of friends!
Will recommend this trip to all our family, friends,in Oz and overseas. To be one with nature is to find yourself. Rivers, mountains, gorges, chasms, animals, birds, reptiles, flora and fauna, you shared all. Your blood, sweat and tears made this trip good for our spirit, nourished our soul and fed our stomachs with many meals in the day!
Take care all. We send our love and good wishes.
Au Revoir! Till we meet again!!

Thank you Adventure Wild for a wonderful experience.
Gools and Thommo, our guides were professional and caring and made the effort to support each of us, and allowed us all to participate in every amazing adventure on the trip.
The bus was new and reliable, the equipment and camps were clean and the food provided was exceptional. It was always a pleasure to look forward to the evening meal.
The organisational skills of our guides and the overall running of the tour, from our initial contact with Simone, right through the drop off on the last day was incredible. If you want to immerse yourself in this amazing part of our country by camping in clean tents with good facilities for the outback, Adventure Wild will certainly provide this for you.
It was a real shame that the Bungle-Bungles were unavailable during our tour, but weather does what weather does. Apart from that disappointment, it was a terrific tour, and G&T are excellent tour guides. Thank you so much,
Best wishes,
