We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
We have been super impressed with Adventure Wild service and Gools and Thommo are fabulous hosts and a real asset to your company. They’ve looked after dad with his special needs superbly. This is going to be a trip we remember for a long time to come.

I would just like to say thank you for a job well done by your team. Mark and Carmel worked so hard to ensure everyone had a good time, the catering was terrific and I have added a couple of kilo’s just to prove it. The scenery was spectacular and the campsites well chosen. Hot showers every night was a real bonus. It is hard to take in all that we saw. Once again many thanks. I can highly recommend your tour company to anyone.

Just wanted to say we had a fantastic time on our Kimberley tour. Choccy & Greg were outstanding tour guides and we had a great bunch of people too. Food was terrific as were camp sites etc etc. Could not fault anything.
Cheers and keep smiling.

As you are aware we have just finished a trip with your company. It was a fabulous trip which exceeded our expectations.
Thommo and Gools were exceptional guides. Their passion and knowledge of the Kimberly’s was great, and along with them always going the extra yard to make our trip as enjoyable and educational as possible. We loved the food and the campsites especially on the last night. You run a very slick operation which we couldn’t fault even if we wanted to. Our group all agreed that 15 people was ideal, and that 16 would have been 1 too many. We have already recommended a lady from Victoria who has signed up with you, and will be recommending you to others.
Thanks for a fabulous holiday.

As I send you this email I am reflecting on the past 4 weeks of my holiday and especially the 2 weeks I had on the trip with Thommo and Gools. All would agree that you certainly have 2 of the **MOST DEDICATED** guides in the business. Their attention to detail is second to none and are a great asset to your company. Just when one thought no more could come out of the trailer, there it was, a snack or more food or just **MORE**.
They were there to lend a helping hand in all circumstances to all on board. On the last night we had a little **what did you bring that may be completely useless, a lot of fun**. I wrote a poem as I thought the holiday went, the people and places. I read from a rough copy but would like to send you a proper copy so you can pass it on to the others.
ODE TO THOMMO AND GOOLS
OR THE CARNIVORES LAMENT
The night had passed and it was the day
To head north from Perth and Broome where I’d stay
On Friday the 8th in the early morn
The start of our trip brought forth a new dawn
My seat on the bus and a foot on the throttle
The first thing I noticed was my name on a bottle
We picked up the others at Cable Beach
The ride was not far and within easy reach
Our numbers were 15 from all parts of Australia
With this mix of people, the trip would not be a failure
We also had Kiwis and one German girl
On our trip which had started in the town of the pearl
The scenery was ancient and the stories abound
Told by the campfire like theatre in the round
This land that we care for, we should cherish at best
To pass on to our children and all of the rest
The food was amazing, rather unique
As one passed the campfire it required a peek
There was none of the drama of My Kitchen Rules
This was sheer dedication of Thommo and Gools
The walks in the gorges were not just a race
The fastest in front, others called their own pace
Gools took the lead and Thommo the rear
A helping hand guided you, it erased any fear
It’s been 4 days since El Questro but with no rest though
We pushed onto places old but so new
The big wheels kept turning and all of us yearning
To see landscape ever changing neath a clear sky of blue
The food got better and a cold beer even wetter
The meal of paella put a smile on this white fella
Gools had something special to be served very soon
It was time for dessert, apple crumble, grab your spoon
Each day around sunset Eggy put a cold beer down his throat
While some of us talked, by the light others wrote
With campfire burning brightly we’d sit round and chatter
Then someone would come serving dip and cheese platter.
The 12 days of adventure are nearly at an end
The roads many turns and just one more bend
I am sure and I hope, I speak for you all
The trip was fantastic; you could hear them all call
I will miss you small tent 3 for 2 nights my rest
To stand in one’s tent 9 nights, was simply the best
With sauce on your food either spicy or mild
The call of the Kimberley was Adventure Wild
I will now say a dew to you, you and you
These 12 days were amazing, to see roos hop and cattle grazing
The memories of our trip will forever last
Once we were strangers, but now that’s in the past
As we leave for the airport, fond memories abound
We have only taken photos and left imprints on the ground
We salute 2 special people who follow the rules
Of happiness and kindness, here’s to Thommo and Gools

Well you are on the road again seeing all that beautiful country again guys. We had a wonderful time and saw so much thanks to you both. I can’t believe how well we ate and everything was so fresh. That trailer sure is a little beauty with all its compartments for storage. Hope you have a wonderful time this second time around. Keep up the humor and fun. We loved touring with you and Greg. Number 2 guests are in for a great time.

I would like to seize this opportunity to state: Your way of preparing “bloody tourists” for adventure is very convincing. Cannot wait to join your Kimberley tour on May 8th.

Thanks for your email about the Travel Expo. Ken and I went and met Greg and Choccy and had a good talk. We were very impressed with the way Choccy ran the Presentation. Over the years I have seen lots of Presentation Shows and yours was so professional. The slide show was great , and although there isn’t much we don’t know about Adventure Wild and the tour, after all our research, it was good to see all the photos, and you are right when you said about us getting a greater feel for the tour. Greg and Choccy seem so dedicated and love their job we wanted to pass our message on to you and Rory. We tell everyone about our tour and when we mention Kimberley Tours, Adventure Wild and Gibb River Road, most people have heard about Gibb River Road and are quite envious but proud that, at our age, we are so passionate about going. We are SO looking forward to it and meeting you Simone, having met Rory at the 4 Wheel Drive Tour some time ago. Thanks so much for all the information and help.

Thank you for your email however we will not be able to touch base with Thommo & Gools (at Gippsland Great Outdoors Expo) but please pass on our warm regards to both of them. We have wonderful memories of awesome views and an amazingly well organized adventure which we have raved on about to our family & friends.

Simone, this is just to tell you we have never had such a wonderful experience as our trip into the Kimberly with you and Greg and Choccy. We have had many wonderful trips and I’ve loved them all but Kimberly was 3 times what I expected. You were so good to work with and Greg and Choccy made the time spectacular. By the way she’s a great chef. She also covered the gluten free so nicely. Both of them are real treasures for you. I know you didn’t arrange the croc/brahma scene but we’ll give you credit anyway. They always steered us right. This trip will always be happy memories. Hopefully we’ll see you again.
