We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs
The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera
The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray
Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger
Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner
To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam
The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson
The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Thank you to Phil and Liz for making our trip a memorable one. As tour guides you both were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Your knowledge and information of the plants, animals and history of the area makes for a very interesting tour.
The hygiene of everything you did, given the conditions was amazing and you ensured all participants maintained good standards.
The quality and quantity of the food was fantastic. No one went hungry.
Having pre erected tents made it so much easier and we all got used to rolling our swags which were very comfy.
People who are interested in doing this type of tour need to have a good level of fitness as the hiking is at times difficult but very do-able.
The organisation from beginning to end was superb.
We were very impressed with Phil and Liz and would not hesitate to recommend Adventure Wild to anyone thinking about this type of adventure.
Thanks to everyone concerned in putting the tour together. We had a great group of people.
Thanks

Amazing trip which we can highly recommend for all ages, Phil and Liz were terrific hosts and great fun too. Do not miss the helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungle it was amazing.
I never thought I would get to do this but they made it so easy for us.
Thank you.
I would happily recommend your company for travelling in the Kimberleys, and especially Phil and Liz. Great guides.
The roads were somewhat challenging but Phil handled them well.
Thank you for a memorable holiday
Great trip with great leaders, Phil and Liz – competent, caring and compassionate.
Our experience with Adventure Wild and the Kimberley will stay with us forever. Thank you so much.
Thank you also for sending the brochures. We will be spreading the word.
Warm regards,
Hi Simone,
I just loved both Carmel and Mark, they both made me feel so included and part of a great adventure. Great food, couldn’t fault it. Brilliant driving.. Gibb Road massage. And things happen on the road… can’t be helped as those coaches take a beating. Commentary was informative and interesting.. a good mix of Carmel or Mark’s own stories. Campsites clean and tidy, great tents.
All in all I had a wonderful time. You run a very tight ship!!!
Well done but more so to Carmel and Mark. They are tops.💕💕
Cheerio
Hey Simone/Karl,
Just want to give a big thank you to all concerned at Adventure Wild.
Karen and I returned from our trip last Tuesday with Gools and Thommo and have to say we cannot speak highly enough of their and your efforts to make our trip one of the most memorable moments in our life.
From the first time we spoke to Karl, through to Simone’s organisation in making sure that we received all the information and bags as we did was outstanding. Your synopsis of the trip and what to expect was spot on (early morning starts and rolling of those damn swags was all part of the fun). The amenities were fine and quite “rustic” in parts.
In terms of our 12 day trip, both Karen and I agree that whilst the scenery was out of this world it was also the organisation of the two tour leaders that enhanced everything. We cannot believe their enthusiasm in ensuring that all our needs were met and their knowledge of the Kimberley region is quite amazing. The high quality of the food, their hygiene in preparing and serving the food and the regime they set for us in cleaning our plates left us in total awe.
We expected the trip to be good but didn’t for one second expect it to be of the highest quality that it was. The group were fantastic fun and I appreciated the banter that we had within the group but also that with Gools and Thommo.
The additional flight from Broome to the Mitchell Falls was also outstanding. It was very different to the one from El Questro in that we had the flight 4wd walk and helicopter flight and the Mitchell Falls …… well how does one start to describe them.
The only thing we missed out on was the planned whale watching tour due to the windy weather last Wednesday but that can hang over until next time.
Would we recommend this trip to others? Most definitely but we would need to make sure that people are aware of the expectations and that some of the walks are not the easiest and require some climbing. Karen and I loved the challenge as we haven’t camped for about a decade but found it and the walks heaps of fun particularly when there was the lure of a swim at the end of it.
If there no better recommendation of our tour leaders, it is the one where we are both certainly interested in participating in one of their organised overseas trips in the future.
Kind regards

Dear Liz and Phil
I must thank you for the 12 day camping trip I went on from July 14th to July 25th.
It was amazing how much of the Kimberley we saw in 12 days. This was unquestionably due to both of your exceptional tour guide skills, experience and patience. On top of this your driving was faultless Phil, and Liz you effortlessly produced an incredible variety of meals over the whole 12 days.
Thank you so much for an incredibly well organised tour.
Gratefully yours
Dear Simone,
“WOW” is a good way for me to describe your tour. We (Patty and I) had the best time. The trip was so well organised. We loved the food. No chance of starvation.
It was educational. We managed to fit in such a lot in a day. Maybe because we were up bright and early every morning. Never missing the beautiful sunrise. We were given the opportunity to have as much fun and experience as much as our bodies could cope with e.g. the freezing cold water and the beautiful waterfalls. One tour company we came across didn’t let the guests go in the water. There was one rebellious young girl who went in any way.
Carmel and Mark, with their knowledge and their great sense of humour, were the best tour guides any complete group of strangers could have asked for. We, as a group of strangers, became like family in a very short time. Carmel and Marks personality had a lot to do with that being possible, along with the friendly nature and sense of humour of all the guests.
The trip for me was a trip of a lifetime. We were also lucky enough to have Bill Creed (a guest) videoing our trip. He has since sent us a DVD (or DV as 77 year old Bill calls them) of our trip. It’s great. I’m so glad I said yes when he asked “who would like a DV sent to them”. What a character he is. I will be able to re-live the trip over and over thanks to him.
As far as the early to rise in the morning goes, it’s certainly worth it, as you not only see the sunrise but you get to experience more in a day. The pre warning the night before is a great idea. Early to bed, early to rise. Once that first zipper then the next one goes off it’s pretty easy to get up, as no one wants to be that person who holds the adventurous day up.
Once again, THANKS HEAPS. We love you Carmel and Mark. Patty and I were also fortunate enough to have briefly told our much loved Mum about our trip. She passed away aged 92, a few days after we got home.
Regards,
We had a great time on Tour 23 guided by Chris and Jan.
For each of the 12 days we enjoyed spectacular scenery and walks providing unique photo opportunities.
At the end of the day the sunset and atmosphere sitting around a perfected camp fire was most relaxing Chris and Jan provided high quality varied meals also treats from the camp oven.
We would highly recommend Adventure Wild tours to our friends.
Thank you
