Testimonial for Adventure Wild
MT
Year of Tour: 2025
This extraordinary trip is beyond all imagination and will be forever remembered, as it’s also our way to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary this year. The Broome-to-Broome itinerary appeals to us when we arrange for flights from Sydney. Simone, the managing director, impressed me with her time management and kind help to answer many questions between me and Peter, when we checked out on detailed information in Adventure Wild website, such as places of visits in the itinerary and recommended optional tours. Almost everything one can think of is already written down somewhere in Adventure Wild website, often with photos too, but we still need a pointer. During this communication stage, I soon felt that Adventure Wild must be a very successful tour operator in the Kimberley. Peter and I were finally in Broome, waiting outside our accommodation on the 16 July 6:15am, to be picked up by Adventure Wild’s 4WD specially equipped truck with trailer, to join an epic camping tour in the Kimberley, a very famous destination in the Australian outback.
A camping routine is always unusual, especially for urban people like us, and our capable guides, Peter and Sarah, reminded us on the first day that we’re all in a team. Their remarkable way of organization made us pay attention to the importance of carrying out duties and planning ahead as a team, so that our days would be rewarded with full enjoyment of the natural beauty in the Kimberley region and holiday fun in an outback setting. During our journey, we received excellent meal services everyday with beautifully cooked healthy meals, served with crockery and cutlery and clean table set up, limitless hot drinks, fruit and snacks during road breaks, and very clean tents for resting at night in a swag that came with a light weight yet warm sleeping bag, pillow and clean linen for our private use. Our daily needs were catered for with sincerest and utmost care.
As we’re all looking for adventures, this safari tour has met our expectations completely. Peter and Sarah made sure that there would be an authentic experience for us all. We swam across river crossings, scrambled over big boulders, followed trails without signposts, climbed up steel ladders, as if nothing was impossible. For some in the team who had enough of these physical challenges, they’re encouraged to stop early during our hike and wait in peace in suitable locations for others’ return. The team was in absolute harmony and Peter had an everyday joke to cheer us, while Sarah had many laughing moments during their busy schedules. We’re friends in actions.
For camping in the outback, urban travelers do need to prepare for major adjustments, because there’ll be inconveniences in some campsites where lighting is limited, hot water for kitchen use is insufficient, facilities for toilet and shower aren’t adequately equipped, mobile signals are inexistent and losing direction in getting around in the dark is probable. Despite a real need to change our habits during the tour, I’d like to praise Adventure Wild for setting high standards in operating camping tours into the outback, with exceptional planning and problem-solving in making campsites highly functional. Peter and Sarah have impressed us with their marvelous organization skills, hospitality, personal warmth, caring attitude and inner joy in their hard work as safari tour guides.
Congratulations to you all in achieving the objective to take people to the Kimberley for a full experience of its unique vastness and spectacular landscapes that are well-known to travelers from Australia and abroad.
