Testimonial for Adventure Wild

As a novice camper, I had a few concerns going on a 12 day camping trip. Despite this, my husband and I had a fantastic experience from the get-go. Simone, the Managing Director responded to my online query on a Sunday afternoon before I even got off my PC. Her enthusiasm and help made a fantastic first impression. On day 1 we were collected at our Air B&B by Karl to meet up with the bus a few minutes away. Our guides Liz and Phil were very welcoming, informative, great fun and supportive. They paid equal attention and genuine interest in every traveller. Liz and Phil were always calm and reassuring if anyone had anxieties or concerns with not keeping up with the group or not being confident in the water. eg. swimming short river crossing or swimming gorges. Being prepared, Liz and Phil supplied swimming noodles and walking poles which were of great assistance. Our hosts did a fantastic job providing a variety of healthy, quick camp meals and there was always enough to come back for seconds. Our itinerary for the next day was always clearly communicated the night before. (Note: the Kimberley is vast and early mornings are required to set off on our day’s travel.)

We had a great group dynamic fortunately and enjoyed participating in setting up our dining area, helping with dinner and doing the dishes. There was much laughter which carried on after dinner with camp side fires. The campsites did vary in quality regarding the shower amenities and facilities, however it made the 2 night stays in the better camping sites all the more appreciated eg. washing machines, bars, live entertainment. The optional side trips, cruising the Chamberlain and Ord Rivers (Lake Argyle) are not to be missed. For the more adventurous, the helicopter ride over the Bungle Bungles is magnificently scenic. However the journey in/out of the national park on the same day is quite long with a windy road, so be prepared.

I would highly recommend Adventure Wild for their professionalism and hard working commitment to their travellers. Wishing all the best to Karl, Simone, Liz and Phil.
