Testimonial for Adventure Wild
David & Lynne
Year of Tour: 2025
Dear Simone and Karl,
We cant thank you enough for organising our tour of the Kimberley with Magnus and Wendy as our guides. These two worked tirelessly to make sure everyone enjoyed and got the most out of the trip, nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent and not once did we go hungry.
As first time group tourists we were a little apprehensive but we neednāt have been as everyone soon gelled and got along. As well as the truly staggering landscapes that form the Kimberley, we were treated to some spectacular sunsets at amazing locations (Pigeon Hole lookout at El Questro was a show stopper). The organisation for the additional tours by you for us was faultless, and we felt totally looked after from pick up to final drop off.
Well done on behalf of Lynne and myself.

Dear Simone and Karl.
Probably just as well that David typed our review cos he knows how I go on and on! I don’t quite know where to begin but I just wanted to take this chance to thank you both SO much for absolutely everything. David and I aren’t tour group people so we did set out with a degree of ‘I hope we’ve done the right thing’, and to be honest when we were picked up on that Friday morning to see 2 ladies in their 80s our hearts did somewhat sink. But not for long! It has to be said that if every group had a dear sweet Catherine and a Janet in amongst them it would make for a very happy group. Those 2 were amazing. But we were blessed to have such a great group of people. All from different walks of life and great conversations were had both on the bus, on the walks, around the camp fire and when helping with the evening and the morning jobs.
The bus was super comfy…even when bouncing along the corrugations and that trailer is the work of a genius. Unbelievable what you’ve managed to pack into there altogether. Wendy and Magnus are 2 extraordinarily exceptional people and they truly did make the trip so special for David, myself and everyone in our group. They soon worked out who wanted to do the long walks, who could only manage the shorter walks but not once did they make either of those groups of people feel awkward about their capabilities or limitations and between the two of them they accommodated everyone’s requirements.
Wendy’s dinners were amazing. We never went hungry. As a cook myself I truly take my hat off to her for producing what she did with such limited cooking facilities. Magnus’s ‘evening briefings’ were a delight as we were all then clear about what the next day had in store for us all. They and that trailer operated like a well oiled machine, they worked like Trojans putting everyone else’s needs first and I do so hope that they’ll be with you for a long while yet. Totally brilliant.
I must also thankyou from the bottom of my heart for pulling off the Mitchell Falls trip for us. I had given up all hope of getting out there but you made it happen. Not a cheap day for sure but so worth every penny. It was spectacular and Mark and Carmel made for great travelling companions. Thanku again for for all of the work you did behind the scenes to tick that box for me.
Every day was amazing and it’s impossible to pick favourites but of course, for me, Mitchell Falls is up there but the Manning Falls fights for the top spot too. That whole day was so special tho the night before when Magnus said “we’re swimming across at 6.30” I think we all thought he was off his rockerš¤£but he was so right. To do that spectacular walk and get to the falls and have them to ourselves before the hoards arrived was so special. And ofcourse, the Bungles were magical. Yep, impossible to pick a favourite.
Thanku again for everything that you both do to make this tour such a memorable event for everyone and a massive thanku to Wendy and Magnus. This whole trip was a wonderful way to remember our 30th wedding anniversary and their taking us upto Pigeon Hole Lookout on that Tuesday evening was the icing on the cake.
Much love and best wishes to you all.
Lynne
