We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Hi Simone
Many thanks. Thank you so much for such a great trip, we had a great time and could not have wanted for better guides or a better trip, it was fantastic.
Thanks again,
Jen & Melos
Our wild adventure crew
This trip all began
At the beautiful broome
Here we met Jenny and Darryl
Outside our rooms
Off for the gibb
Our little truck sped
With a motley little crew
Oblivious to what was ahead
There were murmurs of voices
As we all started Chatting
Getting to know our neighbours
While our teeth did some chattering
We navigated the tunnel
Where Rhonda went splat
Was that Kevin
Pushing her in the back?
Crocs, bats and fish
We spotted for sure
But it was winjana gorge
That had us dropping our jaws
A noisy night followed
And Glen found the source
Dear Kevin It seems
Kept some up with a snore
Off for Bell Gorge
On the rugged Gibb road
We wondered what we were thinking
And thought something would explode!
Our first swimming spot
was a treat for the eyes
A magnificent cool swim
made It very worthwhile
Onwards we went
For a bit more bone shaking
To Mount Barnett station
Where another gorge was waiting
We set up our swags
And got the fire stoked
Many funny stories were shared
Including mossys bad dad jokes
Next morning we trekked
To find Manning Gorge
A magnificent swim spot
It was out of this world
Kevin the trooper
Made the trek to the falls
But on the way back
Halicarnassus took hold
With the absence of Rhonda
We all rallied round
“Kev you need more water!”
And guess what he found?
“It’s a well!”
Said our kev,
But where is it we said,
Bugger it’s not really there,
Announced our Kev!
With the extra love and attention
And no well, what a shame
Would we call him special k
Or was Katut ,a better name
Galvan’s was next
A smaller waterfall,
The boab sat atop
So proud and so tall
Back at camp it was noticed
Rhonda always up and about
Tea towels, cloths or dishes
She is as busy as a roustabout
Not to be overlooked
The style queens of the crew
With our dear Glen and Viv
Quietly slipping off
And helping prepare our food
By this stage It was evident
John and Mossy hit it off
But how much could we take
Of each dad joke bounce off
Another bumpy day ahead
As we got back on that gibb
Off to Ellenbrae station
We hoped the scones were no fib
Our chief cook and bottle washer
Our Jenny. Our queen
Came back from the truck
Looking a light shade of green
“I almost trod on a snake!”
Our cook shouted out
But the scones it did seem
Kept the crew from checking her out
Onwards we travelled
With our mighty fine crew
We were off to el questro
For more wine and fine food
First a stop at more falls
Bindoola was the spot
We could only imagine how glorious
When filled to the top
Emma gorge was next
A favourite for many
None more noticeable though
Than for our dear Lenny
We swam and admired
The incredible surrounds
All shocked and delighted
At what we had found
An experience so breathtaking,
We just couldn’t believe it
How on earth could we top that
We had kimberleys fever
Our camp trouper Jan
Who enjoys her little wine at night
Had a minor little incident
So mossy could be her shining knight
Back at camp news was spreading
The coffee wasn’t great
Our Chester was the recipient
Of cold coffee
and stale cake
The staff were addressed
In his eloquent way
thank god he’d blow dried his hair
So he was listened to this fine day
As the days started blending
The boys banter flourished
Some New kids on the block
(Len, Andrew and Ches)
Meant Mossy was challenged
Bad dad jokes were certainly
A thing of each day
As the boys joined John and Mossy
we just grimaced the jokes away
Later we’d hear
As Lenny picked up pace
That Mossys pride was indeed dented
His king of dad jokes title
was at stake
Our evenings in el questro
Were enjoyed by the campfire light
Many hit the hay early
As the mornings were so bright
A break-In occurred
at our camp in el questro
Tent 3 tenant it seemed
Was the perpetrator in question
Special k, katut,
our inspiring metro man
Lost his way one night
And snuck into Denise’s den
Quietly he retreated
But alas the zipper was the flaw
Johnny saw our man
And called out to this outlaw!
Tent 3 was rattled
As the next night we heard
“Rhonda, how did you get down there?”
Surely this great man’s not a turd?
His credibility status in tatters
The record had to be set straight
Did kevy push Rhonda
“No just our bums had a shake!”
Each night at briefings
I have just returned from a Kimberley Safari with Adventure Wild and what a fantastic time our group had. The brochures sent out beforehand were very informative and explained everything including what to pack and answers to lots of FAQ’s. On a couple of occasions I either rang or e-mailed Simone with a question and received an immediate reply. The duffle bag which was supplied was strong and easy to carry. The whole itinerary was very well thought out and our Guides Kylie and Dean were extremely friendly, helpful, organised and good fun. Each evening around the campfire one of them would outline the plan for the next day, what to expect, what to take and what to wear so we could get organised before bed to save time in the morning. The meals were delicious and we loved the theme nights with Kylie and Dean donning the appropriate headwear and shirts! All the optional tours were explained on day one and I added another to the ones I was already doing. The tents were spacious, the swags comfortable, the attention to hygiene was to be commended. A truly amazing experience I will remember always. I thoroughly recommend Adventure Wild to anyone who wants to see The Kimberley with experienced guides who will keep you safe.
Hi Simone and Karl,
Firstly we would like to congratulate you both on your wonderful company “Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours”. The professionalism of you both especially you Simone with your dedication throughout the past two years with COVID and lock downs, your emails keeping us all well informed, answering all our questions and making last minute decisions for all those interstate travelers booked on your tours. Special thanks to Karl and his mechanics who make sure the vehicles are in A1 condition to tackle the Gibb River Road and everything else along the journey.
Like us, the other fellow travelers of the group had waited two years for this day to arrive and we were not disappointed, well worth the wait, it was a trip of a lifetime.
Jenny and Daryl were our tour leaders and they made our trip super special. Their knowledge of the flora, fauna and the history of our first nations people throughout the Kimberley was exceptional. Both did not stop from the time their tent zip went up in the morning till down at night was sheer dedication and commitment. Jenny with her amazing selections for breakfast. Dinners were superb from her Thai Chicken stir-fry with Jenny’s secret sauce to Roast Lamb and Pork cooked on the BBQ plate over the hot coals of the campfire. Also Jenny’s Barramundi wraps served at happy hour (thanks Wayne and Waine for the Barra!)
We all looked forward to Daryl’s corporate meeting each night after dinner around the campfire and enlightening us on the next days adventures. The camaraderie among our fellow travelers was fantastic.
This tour is amazing and we had many highlights along the way but our last night camped beside a billabong, sitting in front of the campfire is what camping is all about.
Special thanks once again Simone, Karl, Jenny and Daryl
Hi Simone
Thank you for all the contact emails and photos. I have not stopped telling everyone since returning what a fabulous company Adventure Wild is!
Thank you again for the great communication over the past couple years. The trip was life changing for me, it was more than I had hoped for. Kylie and Dean were amazing and worked so hard to make the trip unforgettable.
I wish you and Karl great success with your business going forward.
Many Thanks
Hi Simone
Thank you so much for organising all of these tours and the whole trip.
It was just fantastic, so many very special moments that I’ll never forget. And Kylie and Dean were wonderful people, more than just guides, patient, enthusiastic, constantly available – and great chefs!!!
I’ll be sure to recommend your company whenever anyone mentions the Kimberley.
Many thanks again 🌻💖
Hi Simone.
Well it is the morning after our return from the Gibb River Road Trip. I would like to give some feedback on our hosts Dean and Kylie. There are no words for their expertise, humour , professionalism, catering, endless support and help. I am sure at times, they were incredibly tired, but no matter what time, day or night, they were always just delightful. The standard of the food was just so nutritious, and tasty. I am sure most of us are carrying a little extra weight home. The organisation and the bus were all commendable.
Many thanks
Hi Simone and Karl,
We wanted to thank you for our amazing trip with Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours. It was a trip of a lifetime and it was one of the best things we have ever done. During our planning you were always available to ask questions. You were always prompt in answering and we felt valued from the word go. We were provided with heaps of information beforehand about what to pack which put our minds at ease.
Our tour guides Kylie and Dean were exceptional. They made us all feel very special from the moment we stepped on the bus. We became a family from the first night around the campfire. Their hard work and care for us was far beyond our expectation. We will never forget them.
We enjoyed many delicious meals and snacks which were so unexpected! We never went hungry. The level of detail we were given about where we were going, the history of the area and what to expect when we got there (where the toilets were!!) was excellent! It was like we were the first group they had led! such was the level of excitement and joy they showed. Great fun, great food, great itinerary, great scenery, great walks, great people and lots of laughs. We couldn’t have asked for more.
Thank you so much for all your hard work. We have already been recommending you to family and friends. Wish we could do it all over again.
Kind Regards,
What an amazing journey. Loved every aspect of it. Tour leaders Gools and Thommo were nothing short of outstanding! Would recommend this to anyone wanting the true Kimberley experience.
Incredible experience of the Kimberley. Our tour guides, Jen and Daryl Moss were amazing. We hiked and rock climbed into some incredible places and swam in stunning rock pools and waterfalls. The wildlife, flora and fauna were so Australian. Great organisation, wonderful catering and good people.
