We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
I have just found the satisfaction survey which we were asked to complete. I
know John has already given you some feed back, but to ensure you get the
information you are seeking I thought I would add to his comments.
Pre-tour service:-
Your attention to all our needs was exemplary. You were fast and efficient
and most helpful.
Itinerary:-
The pace of the tour was well paced as well as most interesting.
Meals:-
The variety, quantity and quality were exceptional. They were well prepared,
interesting and plentiful. Gools did a fantastic job. I admire her skill in
being able to conjour up a banquet in what were challenging and difficult
conditions and present a veritable feast at the end of every long hot day.
Congratulations!
Campsites:-
Generally well kept.
Tour Guides:-
It is hard to know where to start. Gools and Thommo are a real assett to
your business. They are the most dedicated, interesting, amusing, caring
guides any tour business could wish to have. Their humour never failed them, even when Thommo had to change 3 wheels in one day in temperatures in the mid 30’s. They were amenable and understanding of the needs of all the participants on the tour. Their knowledge of the local area was impressive, as was their dedication to spreading the eco message. Their understanding of the local indigenous culture was refreshing. We are deighted that we got to travel with Thommo and Gools because it would be hard to imagine anybody else could do a better job than they did.
Comfort:-
sleeping in a swag was never my idea of comfort. However, after a couple of days it was in fact very comfortable. The worst part of the experience was
having to roll our swags each morning. I think we just about got the hang of
it by day 5.
Hygiene:-
The level of hygiene was high. Gools set the high standard and maintained it
throughout. There were no short cuts to hygiene. Again – congratulations.
Congratulations to Adventure Wild.
Special congratulations and thanks to Thommo and Gools. You are the best!

I finally have the time to sit down and write a testimonial as promised. Please feel free to use any part of it for your website.
It was with great excitement and high expectations that I joined an Adventure Wild ‘Kimberley Safari’ on June 27th 2013. I had always dreamed of travelling through this area, but as a middle aged, single woman, without travelling buddies, camping equipment, 4 wheel drive vehicle, or even the time to properly explore such an exciting area, these dreams were put aside for many years. When I saw this tour, with everything it had to offer, I decided it was for me.
I could not have been happier with the whole experience. From the very beginning, I was treated as someone special. My initial phone conversations with Simone and Rory made me feel that this company treated each person as an individual, and would look after me accordingly. I was also swayed by the fact that they employ two guides on each tour to look after 16 guests – a much better ratio than any competitors offer.
Our two guides, Thommo and Gools, were simply amazing! They were intelligent, articulate, competent and professional in every situation, and yet they were also relaxed, friendly and caring. Their skills were evident everyday – from four wheel driving, to cooking, and making sure that every single person on our tour was fully included and got the most possible from the experience. They led walks in a way that allowed the fittest and strongest to be challenged, while even those with mobility issues could join to some extent. Their knowledge of the area is incredible, and I still recall some of Thommo’s stories with a smile. He made the history of this area come alive with his constant commentary and stories of the local heroes, both present and past.
Best of all, although I was a single traveller, I never once felt that way on the trip. By the end of our 12 day adventure, our group had bonded in a most remarkable way, and I think we all made friendships that will last. Thank you Adventure Wild, for providing me with a wonderful Kimberley experience that I will always treasure!

Just writing to say thanks to all of you at Adventure Wild for absolutely fabulous holiday.
I have to especially thank Choccy and Greg for making it so special. What a great team they are. As tour guides they are the best. Their knowledge of local history, birdlife, animals, landscape and bushcraft is amazing. The extra mile that these two went to make our holiday special and memorable has to be acknowledged. Catering for many with special needs as well as looking after the rest the group was done professionally with minimal fuss.
After observing the other tour companies operating in the same area we definitely chose the best tour company!
I will never forget those beautiful gorges we swam in, the brilliant sunset on top of a cliff overlooking the river at El Questro with a glass of wine and nibbles, sunset at the Bungle Bungles, the early morning in Cathedral Gorge with just our group listening to Greg playing the “dig”, were absolutely magical times.
Thank you too Simone for you prompt reply to all our enquiries because their were many.
I would happily recommend Adventure Wild to all who are interested in visiting what has to be the most ruggedly beautiful area in Australia.

Greg, what can I say, how can we thank him for all the places he took us to, even the extra places that we didn’t know about. He would drive for hours, and on some really rough roads, and then when we stop for camp, he is off up onto the top of the bus and into it again. The guy must have the stamina of someone half his age. Hmmm, maybe we should put him out to stud. Ha ha. Thanks heaps Greg.
The food, well what can you say about the food, bloody beautiful. It amazed all of us what Choccy came up with each night. I certainly could not have done it.
Some of my highlights were swimming in the pools, and jumping off high rocks into the pools with Greg, Choccy (yep I did that, oh yea); Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm, oh and just so many more.
Those two are absolutely wonderful, incredibly great fun, great sense of humour, we love them. We had a bloody fantastic time, from day one it was great!
So from both Tony and myself, thank you ever so much from the bottom of our hearts for a fantastic holiday that we will never forget.

We are now back in cold, wet Adelaide after staying in Broome for a few extra days after our Adventure Wild trip.
We enjoyed our trip very much and Greg & Choccy were fantastic. They got us to the gorges before the other tour buses arrived which we all appreciated, because once those other tours turned up the gorges became noisy & crowded. They told us about the flora, fauna, stars and took us to sunsets. The food was great, I don’t know how Choccy does it.
You always responded to our emails promptly. I swear sometimes you had the answer back before I had hit the send button! That in itself gave us confidence that we would be travelling with an efficient team.
We have brought back lots of memories and lots of photos!
I haven’t completed the attached testimonial form as we did one on the bus.

Just a quick follow-up after my trip with Adventure Wild from 9 June – it was the most wonderful experience, I loved every minute of it and keep reliving it as I show workmates and friends my photos! None of us will ever forget the first night and that ‘deranged’ grader driver! Not too many campers would have a similar story to tell I suspect.
Gools and Thommo were fabulous. They led and guided us all with diplomacy, respect and, when necessary, reminders of our responsibilities. I would travel anywhere with them. They were friendly, informative and took care that all of our needs were met. The food was tops and there was plenty of it. They were both highly organised but flexible when the situation required it. I felt safe and secure with them during the whole trip and was very pleased that they were our nominated drivers.
I have begun painting scenes from my many photos – another exercise that constantly takes me back to the Kimberley!
Many thanks indeed for providing us with a top quality, challenging and interesting camping trip.

You are one of the best tour companies I have come across right from the time my wife Jenny Mason spoke to you and on many subsequent occasions right through the planning and the recent tour with Thommo and Gools.
They would have to be the best guides in Australia and especially the Kimberley as many of the testimonies will verify. You are so lucky to have their talents as drivers, cooks extraordinaire, story-tellers and just plain good organisers.
Their knowledge of the Kimberley’s flora and fauna was just amazing and we have all come away with some of their knowledge. They often went out of their way to add extra tours / highlights for our benefit.
The food was fantastic and Jen and I will have no hesitation in promoting ADVENTURE WILD to our many friends and the Victorian bushwalking club to which we belong.
Wonderful trip with many fantastic memories. Each day was a whoo factor in itself.

What a wonderful, wonderful tour, a truly memorable experience, one that will remain in our memories forever.
This was my bucket list entry come true – everything exceeded my expectations – I wished I could have stayed longer.
Everything we experienced was exhilirating & inspiring – what a magnificent part of Australia is the Kimberley!
Great companions, great locations and two great guides in Greg & Choccy – their personalities, leadership, organisational skills and knowledgewere invaluable in making this a holiday of a lifetime for two 80 year olds. Dont’ ever let them go !
Many thanks for making a dream come to fruition

After many years of yearning to do an “Outback Holiday” but having no experience with 4WD vehicles or off-road camping etc, my wife and I learnt about Adventure Wild and their guided expedition tour of the Kimberley’s world famous Gibb River Road in a 4WD mini bus.
This appealed to us as a good way to experience much of what the Kimberley has to offer – without having to know anything about 4WD vehicles and camping, nor having to calculate time, distance, destinations and points of interest, as well as not having to organise food, fuel, equipment etc – and this “appeal” proved to be 100% correct.
Right from the beginning of Adventure Wild’s efficient and personal response to our initial inquiry, through to organising some special requests to suit our personal travel arrangements, and finally to our “welcome home: letter which was awaiting our return home, we felt secure we were in the hands of experts who knew what they were doing.
We were made to feel, as were all of our fellow passengers, like VIP’s (even though we had to pitch our own tents and swags and assist with setting up – and dismantling – the campsites at each end of the day!). It was all good fun and many laughs were shared.
Apart from the wonders and the splendours of the Kimberley (we’re told there is no other place in the world like it) we particularly loved the camaraderie and fun which developed (and enveloped) the group as the tour progressed. The sitting around the campfire having a “sund-downer” chatting to fellow passengers, the impromptu sing-songs and story telling whilst watching stunning sunsets evolve into magically star-filled skies was a fantastic way to top off the amazing experiences of the day.

We have done a lot of travelling over the years but this trip was one of the best and exceeded all of our expectations. It is truely a fantastic way to see the Kimberley and what it has to offer. Our tour guides Greg and Choccy were very passionate and knowledgeable about the Kimberley and made sure we not only saw the sights, but truely experienced them. We also ate well and laughed a lot. We loved every minute.
