We were surprised at how comfortable the swags were, appreciated the fact that we didn’t have to unpack and put up tents at each site.
Judy & Steve Lukacs

The tents, sleeping swags and locations to camp were great. I had the best night sleeps!
Jen, Joe & Jack Previtera

The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Jenny McKenzie-Murray

Our tented accommodation left nothing wanting and our bags, swags, sleeping bags and water bottles kept us comfortable and warm.
Denis & Shirley Ranger

Great trip. The fixed tents, swags and sleeping bags were clean, warm and comfortable.
Jos Benner

To be honest I was a bit concerned how I would go not being a camper or very fit. But once I started I was happily surprised that I was able to do all the walks and not miss out on seeing anything.
Rebecca Lingam

The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.
Meryl & Glenn Jackson

The camping experience was great fun and campfires at night added to the experience.
Steve & Connie Calderwood
Thanks for providing us the opportunity to go on this magnificent experience. We both had an absolute ball and it was made even more special by doing it with Mark & Carmel.
Pre Tour Service:
All communication from our first to last contact with Simone and Karl was extremely professional and informative. We certainly appreciated the follow up calls and discussions regarding our van and 4wd storage and accommodation options.
Itinerary
With so much to see on the Gibb River Rd and Great Northern Highway regions, it is difficult to fit everything in to 12 days but we were not disappointed with any of the places we got to see with plenty of time to explore and soak it all in. Top marks to Mark and Carmel for making every effort to ensure all guests were catered for.
Meals
It’s hard to imagine how such creations can be prepared in rugged conditions but Mark and Carmel just kept punching out meals that were supreme. Even a basic wrap was turned into a masterpiece with the array of fillings made available. Evening meals were delicious and plenty on offer. Our favourite meal was the “cooked to order” scotch fillet steak straight off the campfire BBQ and crispy salads. Watching Mark bang out 18 steaks all cooked to perfection was fantastic. Carmel’s salads, veggies desserts and other creations were magnificent and plenty to go around.
Campsites
El Questro and the exclusive campsite on our final night were our favourites, but sleeping under the stars at Windjana Gorge on the first night was pretty special as well.
Tour Guides
The Hosts with the Most. Dare I say that I don’t think a critical comment could be made about either of them. The passion they both display for providing every guest with the best experience possible is clearly evident right from the start. They go above and beyond to ensure all are included and no divisions. They were the glue that turned us into a close knit group from the onset and both were a font of knowledge on the Kimberley.
The highlight of every evening however was Mark’s TTT session. Tomorrow, Today, Tonight was the trigger for events and times for the next day and we all had fun making out we didn’t understand what was happening just to fire him up and get him to repeat it all again. Very funny indeed.
Each night was also a “challenge” to find South utilising the Southern Cross. Loved it.
They make a great team and both catered for all individual needs.
We have had the greatest time and would be happy to recommend anyone we know, that would also love this style of traveling, to get on board an Adventure Wild Kimberley Tour.
Clearly this would not be suited to everyone but we were stoked to be a part of a professionally run outfit, that is perfectly designed to meet the needs of the outback traveller.
Thanks again.
Dear Simone,
Thanks for telling me about the 12 day Kimberley tour. I can see why it is your signature tour. I loved all the places we got to see, with time to enjoy them.
Mark and Carmel are a hard working team who looked out for everyone and brought much fun and laughter to our trip. I’m especially grateful for Mark’s ability to repair my shoes and jeans too.
The food was delicious and plentiful and the swags nice and warm.
Thanks to your phone call and prompt replies, which led to me booking with Adventure Wild and having a lovely time.
We will post our full testimonial when we have a chance with time and good Telstra coverage, probably when we get home in late August. Just for you to know, we bloody loved it! Even with crook old knees and old age setting in.
You have a great product and a great team in Thommo and Gools. They are “Jewels of the Kimberley”, I’m sure Gools will understand that comment. I am in awe that they are able to front up again in 2 days after completing our tour so professionally.
Thanks for everything and all your help Simone, going right back to our initial phone calls in February/March and holding our mail etc AWESOME. I wish you and Karl every success.
Hi Simone,
Just want to say how much I enjoyed going on safari with Carmel and Mark who I think are exceptional tour guides – professional, fun, tirelessly working to make our trip as interesting and comfortable as could be – not to mention feeding us excellent food and commentary en route. Campsites were perfect and I learned to love my swag and the huge night skies. Everything was better than I expected apart from maybe an extra day en route to enjoy later start and do laundry particularly for those of us who partook of the optional excursions available!
I rate the experience highly and will certainly be endorsing as often as can.
Cheers
Hi Simone
I’ve just got back from the Kimberley Tour and want to thank you and the team for making it so wonderful.
Thank you for recommending this particular tour to Christina. I saw so much! Every day we had something special to look forward to. I enjoyed the optional tours I did.
It was very helpful to get the bag beforehand to pack into. The packing list could be elaborated on to stop people like me over packing. Eg how many changes of clothes would be needed. Also I didn’t realise things like hand sanitiser would be provided.
The meals were great. Tasty, plentiful and not one dinner was the same! Our last supper was extraordinary. It was a banquet, prepared and cooked superbly.
The campsites had good facilities, with flushing toilets and (mostly) hot showers. I liked camping most by water. And I really liked the exclusive camp site last night.
Mark and Carmel are superb tour guides. They accommodated for the needs of the people on this tour and made a great effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
I found sleeping in the swags was very comfortable. The insect repelling candles at dinner time were effective. I am grateful for the little things that were avaliable in the bus: especially the tissues, hand sanitiser, hand cream, sunscreen and insect repellent.
We were able to maintain a good level of hygiene. We towel-wiped dirty dishes before washing twice in hot, soapy water, rinsing and towel drying. Hand sanitiser and soap were always available – and well used by us. Carmel ruthlessly threw out left overs after meals.
Here are a few thoughts on how you could make a good experience even better.
Keep recommending this tour to fun-loving people. The people on this tour were fabulous – a lot of fun.
Thanks again
Wow! My daughter and I have just returned from this super wonderful tour with Adventure Wild. I feel words cannot express the enjoyment of this tour. Our driver, Phil and our hostess, Liz were outstanding. They never failed to smile and always made me feel as though I was a VIP. The bus was comfortable, cool, roomy and loaded with snacks. Fresh fruit, yummy, cheese snack and bars were all available throughout the tour. Fresh cool water was also plentiful at all times. Sunscreen, wipes, insect repellent were other items on hand for all.
This tour was a life time dream of mine and every day my bucket list was fulfilled. The amazing scenery, the red dust, the Gibb River Road, my travelling companions and the history of our great Kimberley will always be with me.
Adventure Wild throughout were professional, helpful and obliging. My first contact was by email and within a few minutes I received a call from Karl and Simone with all the information I required.
Congratulations to Adventure Wild and staff from a very very happy older Aussie. Never fear I will be back!!
Adventure Wild are as efficient and as competitive as you would expect and the Kimberly tour presents special scenery for all to see. What sets the tour they provide apart from the competition is in no small way… the guide couples they employ.
Spirituality means relationships…with yourself, your family/ partner, your people and your country, for some, your God. Through life spiritual experiences become more important.
Our guides, Liz and Phil exhibit a spiritual aura produced by the way they relate to each other, their country and its people. This aura spreads to their guests to bath them in an experience way beyond the physical scenery that beckons them. The ease at which they lead the trip transforms the Kimberly tour into a spiritual journey for all and sets alight a desire to not just become another human treading footprints in the sand, but an empowered ambassador who preaches and defends this beautiful country for past, present and future owners.
Congratulations Liz and Phil, you are worthy representatives of the memories you help to create and for Adventure Wild.
Wonderful Phil and Liz, even though they had some mishaps they never missed a beat with unfailing good humour and service.
I’ve definitely put on weight with all the yummy food!!
Every thing about the journey and beautiful itinerary was spot on Great Glamping Great group Great company 10 out of 10 👋👋👋
Hello Simone
We arrived home in Bundaberg on Friday 13th and would like to give you our thoughts on our trip with your Company.
On behalf of Cheryl and myself we would like to express our appreciation of the service and friendship that Mark and Carmel showed us on our tour. Their obvious delight in showing off the area that they are very passionate about comes across and made our experience so much better. The Kimberleys is a very beautiful area and Mark and Carmel go out of their way to show off each and every area from gorges and waterfalls, the places (towns) and their attractions, ranges, wildlife etc. Their organisation with setting up each night to packing up each morning was well planned and easy on everyone. Everything was carried our easily, from wood collecting to loading up each morning. The meals prepared were fantastic – thank you Mark and Carmel.
We would highly recommend this tour. Also thank you Simone for your help and your speedy response when we needed answers.
Kind regards
WOW…..Oh My Goodness…..WOW! 🚍⛺🐂🐃🦎🚁🐊
I have just returned from the 12 day Broome to Broome Safari Tour 17 departed 27 June 2018, via The Gibb River Road with wonderful tour guides Mark and Carmel. I am exhilarated, exhausted and extremely content.
Pre-tour communication by telephone and email with Karl and Simone was most re-assuring. The speed of return emails in answer to my questions was a hallmark of the friendliness and efficiency that continued throughout the entire tour.
The Argyle Diamond Mine is running out of Kimberley diamonds but two will remain forever ♦️Carmel and Mark♦️ our amazing Tour Guides. They are fabulous representatives of Adventure Wild; extremely knowledgeable regarding plants, birdlife, all Kimberley wildlife, the history of the stoic pioneers, the history of the wondrous rock formations and mountain ranges and the history and status of the huge stations. I cannot speak highly enough of their dedication to ensure all on tour have an awesome and informed adventure.
Carmel and Mark do all the meal preparation and produce fabulous, substantial, deliciously healthy meals three times a day; as well as morning, afternoon teas and pre-dinner quality nibbles. Mark’s damper is just soooo good. Yums! And…..who would expect chocolate self-saucing pudding cooked on the coals of the campfire served with icecream and cream. Delish.😀
Safety, hygiene and comfort for all on tour was caringly monitored by Carmel and Mark. The campsites were always clean, well maintained and located in picturesque surrounds. Being in the outback is the best! The tents are clean and spacious and even the swags are cosy. (Thanks Mark and Carmel for your expert help with my swag xx). The sleeping bags give the 5 Star touch with their delightful silky linings.
Sitting around the campfire each night after dinner was wonderful – the camaraderie, sharing of banter, getting to know each other a little more, forming friendships and the ritual of “Yesterday, Today, Tonight, Tomorrow” was great fun.🤣. Gosh, I had such a good time.
The gorges, vastness, beauty and serenity of our amazing Kimberley has to be seen firsthand to truly appreciate how unique and special that land is. Cathedral Gorge !!! Words and photographs cannot replace being present in this amazing natural wonder.
A very special and genuine thank you to Mark and Carmel for your unrelenting help, guidance and assistance to me during the more challenging walks and climbs.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Indeed, it was a wonderful tour. Such a happy cohesive bunch of fellow tourists.
Warmest best wishes and thank you one and all.
