The camping experience was great. Having the tents already set up makes life very easy and the swags with sheets make for a fairly comfortable night. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire and chatting and playing games many evenings.

I want to tell you what a fantastic adventure our holiday with Gools & Thommo was (12 day tour starting 5 July 2023). Chris & I started talking about the trip before Covid but I still wasn’t sure what to expect. Especially coming from England I didn’t know much about the Kimberley’s – their beauty, size and remoteness.
Despite flooded roads and rerouting I had a wonderful time. The whole Adventure Wild team worked really hard to keep us on the road when several road crossings were flooded. In particular I want to thank Gools & Thommo for their tireless effort to keep the group going on top of all the hard work they would do organising, cooking, driving, setting up & striking camp for the group. They made the whole experience one I will never forget.

We had a wonderful trip with Liz and Phil who looked after us like members of their family.
The itinerary was great- a mix of “technical” challenges and down time around the campsite. The amazing scenery just kept coming and Liz and Phil were really knowledgeable.
We appreciated the unscheduled stops at the aboriginal art sites.
We even got used to the early starts and we’re still on that schedule now!
We highly recommend Adventure Wild tours.

Everything was so professionally handled from the booking, questions asked along the way always receiving a prompt reply, to finally the big trip.
Our guides Phil and Liz were amazing. So much knowledge between them and a big passion for The Kimberley’s. The meals were healthy and yummy and plenty of food was always available. We had a great group of people and we all agreed how wonderful Phil and Liz were. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend Adventure Wild to anyone who would like to visit this beautiful part of Australia.

The highest quality guides in Sonya and Andrew were caring, knowledgeable, patient and produced simply amazing food.
The tour is really well paced with a great itinerary and the little extras including flexibility within tours provided by Sonya and Andrew along the way were appreciated.
Loved the all inclusive tour with no hidden add ons and the super comfy tents, swags and bus.

Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. Its hard to choose a highlight but in general terms the seeming ease with which everything was achieved from the initial enquiry – all our questions throughout the whole trip – nothing was too much trouble and handled professionally and with a genuine goal of ensuring the best decisions were made. The guides, Andrew & Sonya continued in this way, and as well as being knowledgeable, resourceful, generous, organised, caring were also excellent cooks. The food was great and thanks for going above and beyond to meet my very specific allergic needs. Simone, your behind the scenes attention to detail and follow up with everyone’s best interests in mind is exemplary – thank you.
And I must talk about the Kimberley itself – what a special place this is and what a lot of trouble you guys have gone too, to curate the best possible experiences at a very reasonable price. We were very impressed that our guides were trained to an international level and we could notice the difference in the way they conducted themselves and made sure that everyone of us had the best possible experience.
We loved the walks, the invigorating swims in swimming holes and under waterfalls, the sacred silence of Purnululu National Park, the indigenous art gallery at Derby, the natural seclusion of the early morning hot springs experience at El Questro to name but a few.
I could say more – but I’ll leave that to others – I know we all enjoyed it immensely. A huge thank you all for a wonderful trip we’ll always treasure.
Had a magnificent experience of the Kimberley through our tour with the iconic Phil and Liz. Great hands on experience with all of our needs catered from by Liz and Phil, lovely healthy food with fresh fruit.
Phil and Liz provided a context to all of our trip through their knowledge and experience of the Kimberley.
We got bogged in the Barnett River early one morning, no problem as Phil would say, “You’re not stuck if you get yourself out”, and an hour and a half later we were back on the Gibb River Road again.
We had an inclusive group of fellow travellers who all contributed to the magnificent experience.

My only knockback would be the regimental colour of Phil’s shirts – do yourself a favour Phil, get out there and get into emerald green!
