The Journey

We explore the lush tropical town of Kununurra and check out some galleries and historical places of interest.

If you’d enjoy some adventure, you can join a tour to Lake Argyle or take a cruise along the Ord River for some crocodile and bird spotting. There are also options for fishing, scenic flights and horse riding.

After leaving Kununurra our next destination is Ivanhoe Crossing. From there we travel on to the fascinating Warmum Arts Centre to see and learn about some Aboriginal art. We chat to some Indigenous artists and learn some more about the local culture. If you are ready for a thrill, there is the option of taking a Bungle Bungles helicopter tour. This is a spectacular place. We’ll be camping at the Bungle Bungle Station Campsite for the next two days.

At this stage of the tour we are travelling on the Great Northern Highway. We visit fascinating landmarks like China Wall, Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing. On our final night we stay at an exclusive campsite beside a billabong on a working cattle station.

On our final day final day of travel we take a complimentary Geikie Gorge Cruise on the Fitzroy River. It is then back to Broome to celebrate the end of this leg of your Kimberley Adventure.
